I'm on my P5 still (wasn't motivated to get a 7 I want something that isn't coming in slowmo yet - 480fps), prior to that, p3, Nexus 5G, Nexus 4.

I love vanilla droid, took until the pixel 3 until I was happy with daily battery life, my 5 averages 2 days between charges (would be 3 if I didn't bluetooth rain/white noise to my tivoom speaker to sleep each night)

I'm stilll using a Pixel 3a, which is still great.

The battery still lasts at least two full days, and since I deal with staff personal phones daily, I'm going to put a lot of that amazing battery life down to the lack of bastard skins/vendor bloat running on top of Android.

Waiting for 7a. It seems that Google try to get as much of the flagship camera perfomance in the a-series as they can.

Sony Xperia 5iii, and I'm having some troubles. A few weeks back it started to intermittently drop the connection to the network. A reboot made it stable for a few hours. Factory reset made it stable for a few more hours. New sim cards didn't help. It's still under warranty, and I sent it in. They determimed the problem was software and as such they couldn't do anything, which is weird because the problems started out of the blue, not after an update. We'll see what happens, but now the phone is basically unusable as a phone. The SIM1 slot doesn't work at all, SIM2 works for a few minutes and then doesn't work for a few minutes. So now I'm back to the Galaxy S9, with its really worn down battery.

I'm stilll using a Pixel 3a, which is still great.

But you don't use it all that much, right? Comparing battery run time between phones is really hard because everyone will do different things with different apps.

Correct. I can nuke the battery in 3 hours with GPS mapping or gaming just like anyone else on just about any other phone.

The point I'm making is that the battery life is still about as good today as it was 3.5 years ago. I use my phone for about 90 minutes of screen time a day for, emails, web, photos, messaging, Maps. I think I'm a reasonably "normal" user and still get 2+ days with this where many of my other phones never even started with 2+ days of battery life.

Samsung note 3 ,used crappie out of this one .Lasted me 9years aside of weaker battery nothing wrong with it until I've dropped it at work in bathroom last month cos some savage left mess after himself and i've refused to use it until I've clean up after him.Principles are expensive :D Popped out of my pocked and screen cracked.Never used any protection on it and I work in harsh conditions as a mechanic maintaining fish filleting machinery in largest plant in Iceland.

I sort of miss my 5 to be honest. The 7 is great but the camera bar just makes the phone seem extra bulky. If work didn't provide my phone, I would also be looking at the "a" models.

Realme GT 5G here... A chinese "powerhouse", Snapdragon 888, Adreno 660, AMOLED screen, 120 hz, with 256 GB of internal memory and 12 GB of RAM... And it's f*cking backplate is leather :D I was looking for the best camera and as cheap as possible. Under 500€ phone when I bought it a year ago and it blew everything out of the water.

S22+ 256GB. Got it for 50% off for some odd reason (store went back to the usual price the day after). It's honestly a pretty good phone.

Replaced my old POCO F3. Mostly wanted to change it because MIUI was kind of a pain. It wasn't *horrible* to me like some people say, but it was enough to annoy me.

Holy shit I used to have a Poco X3 Pro, what didn't you like about MIUI? Androids are so customisable you can always use a custom launcher etc. I've been using the Nova Launcher on all my phones since like... 2015

I've been using a Pixel 3 that I got on eBay for about $70 since November. I put LineageOS with microG on it and rooted it.

Aside from some annoying Google SafetyNet nonsense, I absolutely love it more than my previous Pixel 5a. It has a better screen and better (front-facing) speakers, and I like the smaller size a lot more.

The Snapdragon 845 is still plenty fast for my use. My only real complaints are the 64GB of storage, 4GB of RAM, and the lack of a headphone jack and expandable storage.

Honestly, if the Pixel 3 had a headphone jack and expandable storage, it would check all of the boxes for my ideal phone.

At this point, I don't think I'll ever buy a brand-new phone again. Used previous-gen flagships are definitely the way to go.

I'm on a 2020 moto G power that I bought when my 4 year old moto z play decided it would become a non cellular device. Snapdragon 665, 4GB RAM, sd card, headphone jack, 5000 mah battery, stereo speakers.

What sucks is this was $250, ever $250 afterward has gone to 720p, mono speaker, mediatek powered phones. I'm running this thing into the ground.
Those two are dealbreakers for me. Just unacceptable.
Same, and its getting harder to find new phones with those features.

Same, and its getting harder to find new phones with those features.
If the device has enough internal storage and let's face it, most phones today come with at least 128 GBs of internal storage... I have to ask, what's the deal breaker here? OK, maybe if you have a lot of photos that you've taken with the phone you might run into issues but that can be solved by pulling the photos off.

As for no headphone jack, with the advent of Bluetooth headphones and earbuds, that negates that issue. And before you say that audio quality isn't as good as wired headphones, you haven't listened to headphones that use either AptX, AAC, or LDAC as their Bluetooth codec; either of those three will change your mind when it comes to Bluetooth audio quality. The days of the shitty low quality SBC codec are gone.

Yeah I mean Bluetooth ears buds aren't that bad. Unless you are a good audiophile then by all means but I understand that Bluetooth volume is meh to some but I'm fine with it but I do miss my bass just not saying it's not there though

The one thing I understand and kinda hate is the charging you have to do

That's why if you want really good audio, you need to get a good pair of headphones and by that, I mean over-the-ear headphones that seal the sound stage in. I myself own a pair of Sony headphones, WH-XB910N, and for a bass head like me, they sound awesome. Sony has something called DSEE that makes up for even the shittiest encoded MP3 from back in day.
