I must be one of the lucky few. I've have had zero issue's with my AMD drivers for both my CPU and my 6750xt.
Same here, and this is my first AMD card (Gigabyte RX 6650XT OC). Though I have had ATI cards in the past, with the last one being back in 2008.

Same, other than a wonky fan stop feature which I don't really care about no real issues.
Yep, I do not know why they even have a zero-fan feature. It should disable itself when you are gaming.

I also have found that I can overclock the card to the point that it about as fast as a stock RX 6700XT.

ty. I don't seem to get any worse fps or lag when pushing the memory clock to the limit.

I wish you got a sensor for ECC corrections! My RX 480 had a sensor that counted ECC memory corrections that HWInfo64 exposed. Easier than guessing.
Seems that with AMD at least, unstable VRAM is more likely to cause fatal WHEAs with "Cache Hierarchy Error" as reason.

Did it let you OC out-of-the-box like that? Or did you have to jailbreak it like with Navi10?

Lag and skipped frames, seem to be classic of VRAM instability. Possibly fatal WHEAs pointing to memory too. (even "Cache Hierarchy Error" may be caused by unstable VRAM)

Squares, solid freeze and a buzzing sound=Most likely unstable GPU core/SCLK (same with driver timeout error messages from AMD's software)
I was able to do that out of the box. Just a few setting changes in Adrenaline.

My Navi10 made me pissed off. (RX 5600 XT) I had to have a VBIOS mod, just to get 1.9 GHz-2.0 GHz core.

I get those if i push undervolt to high with +200 mhz i don't run an undervolt for daily use right now not sure if i will do that anytime soon, not sure what other reason you can have thosem first time i hear that vram can cause it as well so i guess any faulty hardware can cause it

New driver 23.2.1 probably with more fixes and bandaids then release notes let us believe :D
At least on my card I got some silly FPS improvements on some games, for example RDR2 FPS went up by 10 lol (and superposition went up by 100 points by doing nothing)
From ~78 avg to ~90 avg.

The 6700 is probably a rare case for this card tho, since it was an ex-mining only card (Navi 22 XL), so game improvements are probably happening *now*. Makes sense, since it was the same as a 6650XT in some games and that makes 0 sense.

It reduces MPO max planes if you have more then 1 monitor enabled now and disables MPO flags, 100% they did this either to buy time or got fed up with trying to fix MPO
Good news tho MPO releases next week hopefully on linux with linux kernel 6.2 so be intresting to see how MPO behaves on linux, to bad i cannot use whatsapp desktop app from windows on Arch Linux probably so i cant use it for video calls, i doubt the same methods would work tho to break MPO, linux probably more stable.

“Delayed Write Failed”

That's a Windows error, IIRC! It's 99.9 percent drive-connection-hardware-related! Almost always because of bad ATA connection. Could also happen with degraded PCIe/NVMe signal.

Usually seen with a bad IDE/ATA connection on HDDs.

Finally a new driver that's not RX 7000-series-only!
From overclocking a few 6000 series gpus lately, I've found that the driver is fine, it's Wattman and the OC software that seems to cause the issues. With just the display driver installed, the OC seems higher and stable. Still experimenting though, using W7 x64 and a RX 6500 XT. Mainly for X58 processor overclocking, but seems reliable and stable with just the driver only.

I guess collecting reports of blackscreens and other driver issues and shoving in AMD face helps for them to make changes to MPO or least a bandaid i can use whatsapp desktop for video calls again, now hopefully they fix MPO in due time instead of leaving a uggly bandaid on.

Were you regularly getting the "backlit black screens"? (black screen with monitor backlight still lit)

my blackscreens where MPO related so they went fully away disabling MPO but doing so broke driver time outs, altho this was only a problem in world of warcraft outside that i am stable, 23.2.1 does a dirty bandaid on MPO if 2 screens are on MPO planes is limited to 1 and MPO flags supported go's to none instead of the usual flags, no idea why they did this if had these MPO issues even with 1 monitor, and with 1 monitor MPO is max planes 3.
Im not a fan of bandaids being forced at driver level but perhaps they ran out of time and simply wanted a more stable driver for as many people as possible so they can brag about stability once again.

i gained some fps with these latest drivers on my 6800 xt. tried a few games now and the gains are small but consistent. everything is still rock solid stable with a heavy OC with latest drivers.

all i do is game and i haven't had any issues

6950 xt got a lot of love this driver update... but my 6800 xt seems to benefit fps gains wise...

I gained quite a few. About 10fps more on the 6700 on RDR2. It also hits 170W while playing RDR2 now. It used to be about 155W. (yes its a picture of the screen because RDR2 screenshots don't work)

Though as I say they could just be optimizing the mining variant of the Navi 22 (Navi 22 XL aka RX 6700 aka Nashira Summit) for gaming, as they pretty much released it for gaming as-is.

Do you have the new Dead Space remake or Hogwarts Legacy? I'm curious if the "optimizations" actually optimized something.

i have Hogwarts legacy if been playing it on both Windows 11 and Arch Linux been running out of memory errors game has vram memory leak on both Linux and Windows, + esync on linux is causing weird issue, im looking forward to future driver updates that will improve raytracing performance.
Windows has the advantage to use HDR since its still on beta on linux.

Power consumption on the 6700 also skyrocketed with the FPS increase. It used to use about 148~155W on RDR2, now it's about 170W, in Borderlands 3 it used to be about 162W, now it's dead stuck at 170W. Same for most other games. I could only get the card to draw this much power before by launching Time Spy, now it's munching power on every game, but the FPS and frametime stability is also way better on all of them.

I'm getting slightly lower scores with my 6600XT on 23.2.1, like 5050 vs 5000 points in 3DMark, nothing too noticeable.

Isn't there a hard limit on power consumption? On my reference 6750 XT, it's 200 W. I doubt it could exceed that just because of a driver update, but I'll test it in a bit.
