Wow that is crazy. Yeah I was debating on a few cards then this deal came up bought it and picked it up after work. As an employee at Amazon if it's in stock at my site I can order it and goto the amazon airport locker and pick it up the same day.
Tech prices in South America are pain and suffering, honestly. And when you get a better deal importing you get hit with stupid import taxes, but well, it was still a good deal for me lmao

its insane to me how high a 6600 xt can clock... i believe 6950 xt can also clock to 2900 on air if i am not mistaken. i wonder why 6800 xt seems to be limited to the 2500-2600 range.
This is my Red Devil 6950XT at "stock" I have put a more aggressive fan curve on it. I have been messing with UV but I am currently on Betas and I've been asked for testing at stock. I have only had stable success with 1180 UV

Core 2850/2950 Vram 2312 UV 1175mv. Yeah I think I might be maxed out. ::::EDITED:::: So I didn't have my gaming mode turned on for my hard drive. I updated my results. Just to show the upgrade from. The other is a XFX RX 560 OC 4gb. Needed something cheap at the time 2016.

I was planning on getting the 7800XT at the end of the year if it was as fast as a 6900/6950XT and priced around 600eur, but considering the prices of 7900 parts I very much doubt it will be 600eur.

The 6750XT would be a nice 25-30% upgrade comparing OC to OC, and could probably get it for 470eur right now. Probably a lot cheaper by years end...

@amd64skater Can you check power consumption in Superposition when you max out the power slider. Is the power consumption hitting the limit with your OC settings?

Nah that sounds about right, I don't think it will be priced higher than that, the price difference between 6900XT and 6800XT was about the same.

What I am wondering is if they'll even release lower end GPUs, from their marketing material I get the impression they want to keep 6000 series around. Another reason is technical, would they just cut down Navi31 further and replace more MCDs with dummies ? Seems extremely wasteful and I don't know if they'll go through the trouble of redesigning a different GPU.

Seriously hate AMD right now 8+ months and they cant even fix blackscreen issues their head is stuck into the ground disconnected from reality, im just tracking topics right now more users having similar issues or other driver issues, even users thinking drivers fixed their problems and then couple of days later they freeze up again.
Im glad linux is stable but for some reason i cannot play wow with functional freesync it engages and disengages randomly but only in world of warcraft, oh wel as long as i can play Hogwarts legacy tonight on linux with freesync functional im happy zero issues so far on linux other then freesync since i started messing with gnome vrr patch for wayland

Well, AMD did announce that a new driver for the RX 6000 and earlier cards would be out in under two weeks, not meant for RX 7900 series consumption. I guess they're still working on unifying the driver for RX 7900 and earlier series.

Yeah they conviently say in 2 weeks while its already been more then 2 months by now heck its been 8+ months without a stable driver for some its been 12+ months, their 2 weeks eta is a distraction from reality.
AMD pulls up curtain in front of everyone eyes, so no one see's the driver issues they are having with their drivers, really shameful.
I got a whole list of topics all having blackscreens greenscreens and other driver issues, you aren't fooling me that this is all hardware issues.
AMD updated their video scheduler to fix dx11 and opengl performance and now their drivers been unstable since, using old gen for testing their new gen cards that already failed with many QA issues not just drivers but hardware as well.
And they keep on trying to pull a curtain in front of all their issues they are having, actual gpu reviews these days are far from the reality of experiences other users are having.
What makes things worse is Nvidia having their own issues and Intel cannot compete yet and is still progressing their drivers.

Imagine wanting to escape driver hell, but the real driver hell is having driver issues no matter what brand you go with, and it does not even stop there brands like Samsung get away with everything as well because omg cool monitor super ultrawide 32:9, they can just give away a monitor to a influencer to shill for them, meanwhile they cover up the fact that 980 pro is destroying it self on old firmware bug that only came out recently.

Im really hating everything right now especially fanboys that defend this kind of behaviour.

Still not seeing any communication from AMD regarding these driver issues past 8+ months on windows, lets convert everyone with driver issues to a Linux user, better install Arch linux as well manually step by step so youcan troubleshoot your linux issues with ease.

you just had to read all the problems the rdna1 owners had to avoid that. Nothing changed apparently.

I'd read that Frank Azor did make that announcement about 4 days ago, so roughly around the middle of the month or so.....I think AMD is getting some nasty comments about RX 6000 and earlier cards aren't getting the best in performance due to outdated driver. I think they should at least have optimized driver for The Calisto Protocol, Dead Space Remake, Forspoken, and perhaps Hogwarts Legacy (though I ain't a fan of such RPG games). AMD should cover its base for newer AAA titles, Hogwarts looks to be big despite the protest over JK Rowling's one opinion about transgender.

AMD needs to communicate more its really frustating especially as some one who had driver issues with favorite game with Nvidia gpu, i also wish people would stop thinking that this is 100% a Microsoft issue cos it likely is not.

Its probably related to the way you multitask and setup your windows on desktop potentially if i check the linux documentation for MPO it explains when MPO is dropped for a window like picture in picture when it partially overlaps to a 2e screen, and i think the bug with MPO is being engaged on anything that has a 3D load this includes web browsers or apps as well, some apps can be buggy and trigger gsync on Nvidia gpu as well like whatsapp and by looks of it also engages windowed game optimizations atleast in my case cos i can reproduce blackscreen in 2 minutes with it on and 1 hour more or less if its turned off, and i suspect if i make the window cross 2 screens i wont be able to reproduce a blackscreen under 2 minutes.
Anyway silly that i have to test stuff like this just to understand how MPO works and how to avoid blackscreens, cos i rather leave MPO on because it fixes HDR except in sea of thieves cos that game HDR is broken.

Same, other than a wonky fan stop feature which I don't really care about no real issues.

On my part, I've had no issue with my then main rig - R9 3900X + X570 + RX 6900 XT + 2x 16GB RAM, no issue other than with video playback on Chrome tab, the screen would go blank/black, sometimes desktop would just turn up, sometimes I'd had to resort to hard reset. I made a bug report *AMD was aware of the issue) and the issue was resolved in a driver update or two. When I'd upgraded to the R9 5900X, it was trouble free as well, my RX 6900 XT behaved as it should.

That, and other than less than stellar gaming performance with some newer titles, it's been great. AMD seems to be more on target with driver support for newer titles as of late, not quite there yet, but it's not bad.

I've had no issues after disabling MPO, but I did get blackscreens once or twice before doing so.

My RX 6950 XT (in specs) has been fine since I bought it in December 2022. Running 22.11.2. Holiday sale upgrade from a GTX 1070.

I do find it strange that it's taking this long for an updated driver.

Benchmark Scores it sucks even more less now ;)
Same, other than a wonky fan stop feature which I don't really care about no real issues.
Yup me neither with my RX6800 the only issue I've have with the latest few drivers is an install issue where the screen blanks out during driver install and USB devices go poo aswell but never comes back on forcing a hard reboot other than those issued daily running is fine

If had that as well i think but rare but i believe that was fixed in 1 of the more recent drivers so 22.11.2 should not do that anymore, it was MPO related in my case tho my screen did not go blank it just displayed black image remained stuck there, disabling MPO also fixed that but that is such half assed bandaid causing new issues such as HDR to look like crap after windows HDR calibration.

you just had to read all the problems the rdna1 owners had to avoid that. Nothing changed apparently.

There was huge increase of reported blackscreens the moment they recommended 22.11.2 as expected, ofcourse they made improvements in stability but nowhere near close being fully stable, from what i can tell most users without problems use firefox, im not sure if there any users here without issues using chrome as well without changing any default chrome flags or settings with hardware acceleration, cos thats hint you have issues as well likely just not after fixing chrome flags and settings.

Done doing veritcal mount testing whatsapp video call with HDR but Windows 11 enforces windowed game optimizations differently if HDR is engaged its required but for some reason i think it only enables it for games that have auto HDR i still see it lag first 1 to 3 seconds which used to be worse so AMD is doing something in its drivers or Microsoft within windows.
Im gonna check if i can test MPO on Arch linux soon it it has a page that explains how it behaves, im suspecting i can even create MPO issues on Linux altho maybe thats not fair cos that is still release candidate and beta, altho i have to figure out if i can make it work first.

This is how much my 6700 (overclocked, that being) scored in Time Spy. Looks pretty close to a 3060ti from looking at some benchmarks, but dunno.

Efficiency-wise it's a pretty interesting card though. In actual games it uses 125~150W of power at stock voltages. Like geez, that's efficient compared to what Ampere has to offer.

Managed to hit 12k on the 6700 :tada:

Don't think I'll be trying any further, as overclocking can be quite a pain, but I'm pretty happy with it.

I must be one of the lucky few. I've have had zero issue's with my AMD drivers for both my CPU and my 6750xt.
Did it let you OC out-of-the-box like that? Or did you have to jailbreak it like with Navi10?

Pushing VRAM to 2100MHz pushed me pretty close to 12k graphics score on the 6700 10GB. I guess the core is memory bw limited (since the 6700XT does 384GB/s stock, at 2100 I can do 336GB/s. Can push it up to 2150, but performance platoes at that point so no point)
Lag and skipped frames, seem to be classic of VRAM instability. Possibly fatal WHEAs pointing to memory too. (even "Cache Hierarchy Error" may be caused by unstable VRAM)

Squares, solid freeze and a buzzing sound=Most likely unstable GPU core/SCLK (same with driver timeout error messages from AMD's software)

ty. I don't seem to get any worse fps or lag when pushing the memory clock to the limit.

I wish you got a sensor for ECC corrections! My RX 480 had a sensor that counted ECC memory corrections that HWInfo64 exposed. Easier than guessing.
