What are you playing?

If I'm honest, I like Ashley in RE4 remake. She was as annoying as my ex in the original RE4, but I like her in the remake. :)
How does RE4 compare to 2 and 3?

Just started thisn'

Just started playing Crysis 3 again. It's been 10 years since this game came out and I still enjoy the game. It looks much better with 4k resolution and plays much better/smoother with the 3080Ti vs the 560s and 780s I had back then.
Correction: 560s and 680s

Terra Nil on my friends laptop. Next up; still need to finish Carmageddon Max Damage, Uncharted LoT, Pentiment, Spider-Man, and Hogwarts Legacy.

Just about to start Flame Keeper on the Switch. Looks like a cute roguelite, hopefully it won't make me too angry :)

Alright guys, 3 chapters to go on RE4 remake. Played one barely today as it was too bright to see anything, now I'll kick everyone's ass, wish me luck!

I've reached the open world part in Atomic Heart and for some reason that killed my interest in the game and ended up annoying me so I'm putting it on the side now. 'idk it just felt like a chore and also the mission marker bugged out multiple times and I had no idea where to go while getting swarmed by robots..'

Instead I'm giving Serious Sam 4 another go, I'm a fan of the serie in general but at the relase I had mixed feelings about it and also had various issues on my PC at the time. 'crashes and generally bad performance, seems to be better now so far'

Spent some time on tweaking the settings cause theres a lot + disabled a thing or two that only made the game look worse to me.

Finished Metro Exodus Enhanced (mediocre at best) and now playing A Plague Tale Requiem.

What do i launch to test my 7800X3D tomorrow, on a Strix 650E-E with Furry Renegae 600-32 ???

GPU's 4070ti.

I know Starcraft 2 loves X3D cache like I love a buffet at meal time

do massive battles with lots of units.

I hate that I hear every day from my discord friends that my PC isnt enough for 4K

-nobody forces me to play at maximum details
-little dips are fine
-and freesync helps for those dips

Yeah I see that alot and it's unfortunate,

Now would I be satisfied with a 6700XT at 4k, no. I didn't even like the performance my 3080ti was giving me in recent games but that has 0 bearing on how someone else views and chooses to use their own hardware.

The beauty of the pc platform for gaming is we can use our hardware however we want. Downing others for not having the latest and greatest hardware is the worst kind of pc gamer.
Although I still think people buying 500+ GPUs with 8GB of vram is stupid that will never change lol or even 800+ gpus with 12GB in 2023 but that's a different can of worms.

Although during the hardware shortages people just bought what they could hard to knock anyone for that.

On topic I've been playing the TLOU and RE4 Remake and enjoying both.

How does RE4 compare to 2 and 3?

It seems of higher quality than both although 2 was much better than 3. I personally enjoy them all and I'm happy to see some of my favorite games get the remake treatment.

I don't play it, btw i remember i had bottleneck with 9700F and 4070ti (that's why i upgraded) while playing Ys 9, so i will finish this game (and report here) as soon as my PC's ready with Windows installed, it's a high CPU bound game.

...

I tried several times to get into GW2, and it just wouldn't grow on me. FFXIV is my all time favorite mmo though. Which I am playing as I type this :D

GW2 was a lot of fun for me but I haven't played it in a decade so I have no idea what it's like now. I put in around 350 hours into it before I got burned out on it. One of the things that I liked a lot about it was that you got rewarded for helping fellow players except of course in PvP.

BFV (or 2042).
I think it's the only game that pushes hard both cpu and gpu.

Hard to say look at the games that are cpu limited with a 4090 you'd probably need to be gaming at 1080p i doubt in most games you'll be cpu limited at 1440p unless they only scale on 1-2 cores.

Like @gffermari said maybe BF 2042 also Spiderman with RT maxed out. I haven't played it since the most recent patch but TLOU will give most hardware a good workout.

I just have to say that I'm positively surprised about my 6700 XT, this is faster than I thought when I bought this, upgraded from 1080 Ti, and well, I bought this monitor the same day.

Where are you in RE4? I'm in chapter 14 :)

Chapter 10 I think haven't been able to game as much as I've wanted but you know life happens lol

I think minus RT your 6700XT is in the ballpark of the 2080ti my wife used one for the last couple years and thoroughly enjoyed it 1440p anyways and honestly if it wasn't for Witcher nextgen being so ridiculously demanding I wouldn't have swapped out her and my GPU. That performance level is still pretty decent.

Bought a 5600 for $189 Canadian. I got it for this Game and I have to say if you like Total War, or Civ and enjoyed Company of Heroes this is a great Game. Also runs great on AMD hardware,

Ark: Survival Ascended will be a standalone game and will cost $60
