My main reason was I am using glasses and had for years plus my eyesight sadly ain't getting better so 27 even 32inch 4K was too small for me in the long run but I have tried it and also concluded with myself the hardware to run 4K I do not want to pay it's too expensive and 1440p is a good balance.

Plus I only used like half of the real estate that 4K really gave me

4K is awesome for movies and series that supports it why I got my oled tv but I do which a 1440p 27inch panel with good colour and 600 nits if not more wasn't so ridiculous expensive.

im in my late 30s and my eyesight isnt what it used to be... even 27" 1440p is more difficult then it used to be. maybe this is why i like my steam deck so much, not sure.

To quick switch external/internal (aka 1/2) monitors without confirmattion, use shortcuts...
... eg: OLEd takes his time to wake-up and it can be difficult for it in 15 sec to display confirmation message !!

C:\Windows\System32\DisplaySwitch.exe /internal
C:\Windows\System32\DisplaySwitch.exe /external

My second monitor 32" 4K 60hz is good for : movies ; emulators of Wii Ps2 Ps3 GCube DCast & Mame..., but not for keyboard/mouse gaming, too big.

I had bent pins due to the CPU removal when i wanted to look at it to be sure it not burned, apprently pins get bent and it worked only until third day after reseal, if RAM present in slot B2 PC started BSOD and freeze.
So, i RMAed mobo and CPU, lol, that's their fault anyway, to sell high priced stuff and launch all over the web infos about this hardware parts be burned, i'd never had removed the CPU, olny the AIO to repasrte ina few years.

Well, i'll receive new near BIOS version 1.0.9's out... hoping it's not again catastrophic.

WOohoo, tested Unforgiving, OLED is near perfection, really.

My main argument was that I use glasses and have for years, and since my eyesight isn't improving, 27 or 32 inches of 4K was too small for me in the long term. However, I tried it and came to the conclusion that 1440p is a good compromise because the hardware required to run 4K is too expensive, and I don't want to pay for it.

In addition, I only used around half of the real estate that 4K actually afforded me.

A 1440p 27-inch screen with nice colour and at least 600 nits wasn't too outrageously costly, which is why I acquired my oled television. However, 4K is fantastic for movies and television shows that support it.

Even 27" 1440p is harder to use now that I'm in my late 30s and my eyesight isn't what it once was. I don't know if this is the reason why I enjoy my steam deck so much.

27" 1440p is the sweet spot I agree

I have my 4K monitor set to 150% scaling in Windows. Crisp 1440p, although it doesn't play well with everything I've noticed.

You guys shouldn't be reading white text on black background at night in a room with not much light....

As a web developer, I completely agree. Such high contrast is bad for the eye. White on black is much worse than black on white for the eye to focus on, if in poorly lit conditions. Of course, a large slab of white in a poorly lit room is also not going to be enjoyable, but at that point your pupil is already fully constricted.

Ended up getting an Asus RT-AX86U Pro, as the old router here in Taiwan failed for the last time and the RT-AX68U I originally got to replace it, was not behaving and would hang every few days, so fingers crossed this one is better. It syncs with my phone at 2401 Mbps when I'm next to it and running iPerf3 with my NAS as the target, I'm hitting near Gigabit speeds over WiFi, from my phone, which is kind of insane. The single 2.5 Gpbs port is utterly wasted and I wish I didn't have to waste money on this thing, but hopefully it'll work for as long as we need it to. Oh and yes, I'm something of a router snob since I used to work for a company that made routers, so I buy my routers based on the hardware they're based on...

if you look at the seller history profile, yeah your not getting that chip, sorry to tell you. he has one sell history and its a 1/5 stars...

why Amazon allows this kind of trash is beyond me. greed destroyed Amazon a long time ago sadly.

There's been a company on Amazon selling 7800x3ds for $200 for the last few days as well. Obviously a scam but the zon is too stupid to take it down.

The real reason I came to post. My final order from FrozenCPU just showed up! Yaaay, 75% off BP fittings and Primochill tubing!

1/2x3/4in. Primochill Onyx Black tubing.
10x10 packs of pink BP
o-rings...oooh sexah haha. Less than a buck a piece!
12x BP 1/2x3/4in. Rotary compression fittings.
6x BP 45 1/2x3/4in dual rotaries.
4x BP 1/2x3/4in 90 dual rotaries.

Farewell FCPU, you will be missed :(

Not sure why anyone would be upset by someone using a 3 year old skylake+++++++ part I mean if you are enjoying the performance who cares otherwise.

I concur. I don't do 4k on my rig for the same reason. It's useless for me. Now on the TV it's amazing.

Wait till you hit 50 when your vision degrades even further and tinnitus kicks in. Good times :(
