Which most miners are incompetent
I don't know if I'd say that. Most miners just don't care and are working a card to the limits to get the fastest ROI.

I'd vote neither of these cards. But if you absolutely needed to have one, if you could confirm the 2080 bios is stock and it passes a stress test it's the best of 2 bad choices.

Our good friend @Vario posted a hot deal for Zotac refurbs.

Here is the link to get you to Zotac
$332 for 2080 Ti Amp
Great deal on that 2080Ti, I've had good experiences with Zotac. Only company I've really had a bad experience with was Gigabyte.

Well I'd say 2080Ti, but under condition that you can inspect the card bare - without the cooler and check for any discoloration of RAM or around RAM or anywhere on the PCB really - that will tell if any component has been overheating.
And you really think that option is there?

Just buy a new GPU, one you can afford, or use your R9 Fury X a little longer and save up some more cash.

Evga? Which is better?
EVGA! All day long! Zotac, PNY and Palit(in that order) are worthy runner-ups.

sorry,but i don't trust in Zotac company
Then don't trust ASUS or Gigabyte either. Zotac is a far easier company to work with where RMA's are concerned, at least in the USA. Your nation might be different.

But trust me on EVGA! They are the best for that generation of Geforce cards!

The entire 2k series was a dam mess. I will gladly avoid any used version of those incomplete rtx wannabe things. Just go 1080ti for now... and get a 3070ti used or so later.

all people suggest me to buy at least rtx 3000 series, like rtx 3050,3060,rtx 3070 or even rtx 4060 if i have more money.I don't know why many people are against rtx 2000 series. 4 years is considered OLD already? My Fury have 8 years old, what can i say?I mean, rtx 2080TI is not powerfull enough for 2022-2023 titles?I am little bit confuse...
2080Ti is an enthusiast graphic class, right?RTx 3060 and 3070 is middle-end graphic class. Why many people recommend me 3060 over 2080Ti?Anyway like i say before, i still have patience,is no rush
For me this purchase is very important, that's why i hesitate so much...It's very important this step, tha's why i am so carefull !! GPU is the most important part in a system at GAMING segment !!!

4 years is considered OLD already?
That depends on the game and display resolution. If you're gaming at 1080p or 1440p and will be for a few years, then a 2080ti will be a very solid card choice and last you until you go to a higher resolution. The only exception currently is CyberPunk2077 and the new Harry Potter Hogwarts game. Those two games bring all cards to their knees.
Why many people recommend me 3060 over 2080Ti?
That depends on price. Still, the 2080ti has move VRAM, which for some games, even at 1080p, can make difference in frame stutter.

The 3060 would be a new GPU probably?.. (didn't read all posts though)..

I would never buy a used GPU because you can never 100% trust the seller what he says he did with it/how he used it.
Also if you buy used there is probably no warranty anymore.

Again, I say save up some more cash so you can buy a new and better GPU in the end.

So? Your R9 Fury X is the very definition of an enthusiast card. Liquid-cooled, high-wattage, chock full of at the time experimental technology. That's why we told you not to buy the 2080 Ti. Not to mention the exceptionally high chance of it being mined on and having very little life ahead of it.

If this purchase is VERY important to you as you claim: do yourself a favor and purchase a brand new in box graphics card with warranty. The RX 6700 XT will match the RTX 2080 Ti in most games, has an extra gig of VRAM, and will perform well, so why are you hesitating so much? People are recommending you 6700 XT's and 3060's because they can be found brand new in box with warranty and thus are reliable. If you buy an used card with no warranty, and a potential mining history, if your hardware fails you will receive no help from the seller and you will have to purchase another card, and you have already stated that it is important because your budget is limited.

I think I made it abundantly clear in my previous posts, but just to recap:

1. Used cards are a gamble, as you have no way to ascertain their past. This will prove especially true if you are purchasing a cheaper card! People who treated theirs well are not selling them for cheap.
2. Older high-end cards are not necessarily faster than newer midrange cards
3. Older high-end cards will not support as many technologies as newer midrange cards, this is especially true if you mean to keep it for a very long time as you claim you will
4. YOU WILL HAVE NO RECOURSE IF YOU BUY AN OLD CARD - IF IT DIES, IT'S ON YOU - I wrote this in bold and caps to get it through to you once and for all that without a warranty, if you experience any problems you will not see you money back!

If this doesn't wrap up the thread, I don't know what will. Both people with arguments favorable or contrary to mining cards have made good points in general, but the truth is, someone in your financial situation and claiming to be generally risk-averse should not purchase an used graphics card, mined or not.

Never read the whole thread. Skip both cards, RX 6800 and RTX 3070 are way better than them in terms of reliability (the former one is also more productive). I know they cost more but it's really worth it.

@Dr. Dro is totally on point. Trust him, you don't want a 4+ y.o. BBQed piece of silicon considering you can't afford buying a new one any time soon.

limited and calculated budget :D
and Fury X was never in enthusiast class, only in high-end class.Radeon Pro Duo was on enthusiast class.High-end class are not the same with enthusiast

I have been using second hand for years, buying from friends and reliable sources. just replacing the TIM, fans and cleaning. frankly i did them a favour. It was never worth it for me, and they probably don't think it was worthy for them, yeah that is how it usually works. Mining breaks this cycle, too risky. But the fact is all those cards will be used by someone eventually and if he is willing to take the risk so be it. It can't be too cheap because it could spell trouble, can't be too expensive, why bother. I expect refreshed 40 series with 2080 Ti 12GB equivalent pretty soon. So buying one that has mined. at the measly $100 off 6 months earlier with the intent of keeping it for 60 months and you get 100 watts of increased power usage for that period, makes no sense.

Finaly in one week i will buy rtx 2080TI card and i will share ss,and test bench. The card is not mined and have SAMSUNG memory type in GPU-z program.I hope i will not encounter "Space invaders" in the future. The model of card is this: 2080ti MSI gaming trio

Only things bother me,and i don't understand, why this card have 2x8 PIN+1x6 pin ,in total have 3 molex power plug.Majority of card have only 2x8 pin....Why this card have 1x 6-pin + 2x 8-pin,i don't understand?
My Power supply is enough for this card?I have 750w, 80+ gold certified
I had a choice between MSI gaming trio and Aorus....but i will go with MSI,i hope is a good choice
