The PNY GeForce RTX 4060 Ti Verto comes in at $400, no increase over NVIDIA's baseline pricing which makes the card an attractive option for gamers who just want a card without extra bells and whistles. Despite its simpler cooler design, the PNY Verto runs very quiet and temperatures are good, too.

Glad i went with a 4070 Ti as replacement for my 1070, cuz a 4060 wouldn't have been a worthy upgrade, even though that was my initial plan.

Either the FE is really good for what it is, or PNY cheaped out on everything they could. Look at those thermals... and for slightly worse performance too.

It's a little bit of both

Did the memory overclock from 18 to 21.5Gbps, a +⅕ increase in bandwidth actually help in games @ 1440p? I believe thats the main thing holding it back from performing ~3070Ti, as it has the compute: 34/48SMs*2790/1920MHz = 103% of compute?

Excellent review. I think I agreed with every statement in the conclusions.

Because other than price it's a very decent product
So if it was $999 it would still be highly recommended? If not, the how does price factor into the score? I mean, what does 'recommended' mean? If 'recommended' to buy, which is how I always interpreted the rating, then how does $400 for a 10% improvement over the previous $400 card (that isn't $400 in retail anymore) from 2.5 years ago make sense as a recommendation?

For me it mostly means "not the best award" (which is Editor'' Choice) and "better than no award". I have nothing else. With the 4060 Ti you do get better efficiency, power, heat, DLSS 3, which makes the card just as recommendable as the 3060 Ti, which is $320 now, but lacks those features, but comes at lower absolute price and higher perf/$

I'm realizing more and more that the way I think about these awards is different than what the users expect

Maybe replace it with a 'Not Terrible' award, as honestly it appears a product needs to be absolutely terrible to receive no award from TPU.

Honestly, depending on the price (which varies from region to region) and your expectations, it's not a bad product. I know coming from my RX 560 to this would be night and day.

I'm removing the Recommended award for now and will explore options how to restructure our awards. Good night everyone

People seem to be obsessing over that one image, saying "Editors choice" "Highly recommended".

Your reviews are great, be honest and write your conclusion as you always do, then simply say... [brand here] think this is what the market whats, I'll leave it to you all to draw your own conclusions.

Really getting tired of the shilling of DLSS. Gamers Nexus showed that textures aren't even loading on this card in situations. DLSS isn't going to fix that, regardless of what the fps says. DLSS does not fix issues with textures and what not. DLSS type technologies really only benefit cards hitting much higher fps. It is useless in low and mid range cards like this. I can't believe this is what a midrange card is now. $400 and basically should have been a 4050 non ti at best. What a joke.

Wasn't Nvidia supposed to delight us with the 8 GB version only in FE flavours?

This PNY card can not go over the 160W power limit.

Probably not a too bad piece of engineering but...

This has a wrong name and a wrong price tag. It is really disrespectful and disgraceful from nvidia to offer this turd as an RTX 4060 Ti and for as much as 400$.
Because this has compareable specifications to an RTX 3050 replacement, it should have honestly been called RTX 4050.

RTX 3050 130W
This card here is slightly more at 160W

So, the card is also heavily oversized. No one needs so bulk cooler for such a tiny and cool chip.

This should have been RTX 4050 for 250$ max.

The 8 GB will cause only troubles. Not loading the textures is only the beginning, next is complete fail to run games.

See in this best video how the 8 GB RTX 3070 struggles:

What @Hugis said, it's also mentioned in the conclusion, they simply disabled power limit increases

The price can't be considered separately from the product. A banana which costs $100 can't be recommend if I can get a banana for $1, unless we're talking different bananas. Are we talking different bananas?

Are we back in the mining craze period because the price suggests so?

Huh? You cannot get a banana for $1, and the other bananas are indeed different, especially size, taste and freshness.
