If you're mindful of gen Y/Z, then you should know expensive technology is not a problem. Most older teens or young 20 somethings around here have no problem acquiring the latest $1400 iphones, or leasing cars with 14% interest rates.Well, my mortgage is paid off and RTX 4090 is less than a 1-week salary, but I'm mindful of the less well-off PC gamers in the PC community and I still remember the "struggle street" situation.
They are half the reason things are so pricy now. Utterly irresponsible spending is EVERYWHERE.
I entered the housing market during the tail end of the great recession, and bought my first house at 23. Not living in the hustle and bustle is great. Being responsible also isnt hard, I've seen people who make more then me be flat broke with nothing to show for it. Gaming is, at the end of the day, a luxury, as are things like eating out, owning a new car, buying fancy clothes, and owning the latest technology. But we want it all, and we want it NOW.Gen Z or late Gen Y entering the housing market is brutal. I entered the housing market in the early 2000s, before the building boom.
Powercolor. Gross. Wouldnt touch them with a 10 foot pole.
Inflation is a thing. You're not getting a 16GB GPU for $200 anytime soon.In 2016 for 200 money there was 8GB
Where is 16GB?
Also, that was a RX480, which was $229, not 199. $199 was GB. And that was GDDR5, which is much cheaper and was back then, compared to GDDR6 today.
