used cards are a gamble, but you can protect yourself, ebay for example is good at protecting buyers, or if you buy from someone you know, or go to his house to pick it up. Shady stuff like meet me at a gas station, or random strangers in facebook marketplace are not for me tbh
There is also no warranty obviously so you have to account for that. Price must be much lower then a new one.
I always sell my cards, never heard a complaint. Also bought some used never had any issue.

the extra pins means it needs extra power
750w is fine for a 2080ti

Keep in mind he has a x99 with i7 7820x.

depends on the overclock and the rest of the system, but for normal gaming, that cpu is 140w and the 2080ti around 250w, still lots of room left.
All crazy oc'd and running a power virus with a 10 hdd rack maybe it's an issue, idk

Finaly in one week i will buy rtx 2080TI card and i will share ss,and test bench. The card is not mined and have SAMSUNG memory type in GPU-z program.I hope i will not encounter "Space invaders" in the future. The model of card is this: 2080ti MSI gaming trio

Only things bother me,and i don't understand, why this card have 2x8 PIN+1x6 pin ,in total have 3 molex power plug.Majority of card have only 2x8 pin....Why this card have 1x 6-pin + 2x 8-pin,i don't understand?
My Power supply is enough for this card?I have 750w, 80+ gold certified
I had a choice between MSI gaming trio and Aorus....but i will go with MSI,i hope is a good choice

It has more power inputs because it has a higher power limit than a standard model. If you have the cables, yes, a 750 W supply is enough.

However, considering what you've told us in this thread, that this is an important purchase and you do not have money to replace the card in case anything goes wrong I strongly suggest you reconsider buying an used 2080 Ti. Just shake off that idea. Swallow your pride, it's not worth buying a card that's been used for several years, potentially for mining, and you will have no warranty for if you're in that situation.

Not all ebay sales are alike.

Some have returns accepted. And that is enforced by ebay if so. Seems like a good option if you have good test procedures.

All ebay sellers accept returns even if they say they don't. (Unless it's underwear and that sort of stuff). It's ebay policy. Just open a ticket and they will deal with it. They can kick and scream all they want, they know the rules, and just put "no returns" to see if they can get away with it.

why this card have 2x8 PIN+1x6 pin
Just for the sake of factory OC stability to be the pure beast whilst providing with serious manual OC capabilities.

Don't worry, this card won't "eat" more than you allow it to. Use MSi Afterburner to control its appetites if you're not comfortable with its wattage. Such cards usually are blessed to run at around 200 to 220 W without losing any speed compared to the reference card at stock speed. This particular one, however, might go into 280 W usage if you let it operate at the default mode.

Easy way to get good speed with losing some weight in process:
0. Install MSi Afterburner.
1. Get Power Limit equal to what you consider the biggest number you're comfortable with. (100% is 250 W so 80% is 200 W)
2. Get plus 50 MHz core clock.
3. Test.
4. Decrease core clock if your card is unstable or increase if you want more, or just let it be if everything works fine.

Well, there is no reason to blackmail a seller who said "no returns". There are enough Ebay sales that state returns accepted.

It's the rules of the platform. That's like i saying i'm blackmailing my boss by asking for my pay and he says this month we don't do salaries.

If you don't like it, use Afterburner to control the fans and create a fan profile.

...no, you don't use a molex adapter at all. You just run three cables from your PSU. Don't daisy-chain them, that results in a cable overload with high-wattage GPUs such as the 2080 Ti. You really should listen to us and not buy this graphics card at all.

why this card have idle fan stop?I mean in idle mode at 30 or 40 degree,FAn coler will not start? But why?I'm a little worried

Because every modern graphics card has an idle fan stop? You can disable it by making a custom fan profile if you don't like it. (I don't myself).

i don 't understand why u are still here,if u don,t like this topic.u are free to go to another place......

thank you

I've noticed a pattern that you don't like being told no or any criticism towards your intent

You should really listen to us, gambling important money on an used, miner-favorite 5 year old GPU without warranty is a terrible idea

Using adapter cables on high wattage graphics cards is a terrible idea, daisy chaining cables on a high wattage graphics card is a terrible idea

Play with fire get burned, you have been warned

With this post I conclude all I had to say, sincerely good luck and hope you don't end up with a coaster

Dont worry El-Presidente, there will good people left here to help you in case there is some kind of trouble with the card, used or not, additional adapter cable used or not.
It is definatly, strictly your own decision. Dont let accounts fool or manipulate you with false assumtions.

I tried ebay multiple time and succeeded with card ins perfect condition ready to run dx11/dx12 games (like GTX 1080 (TI)), and I cross my fingers for you and 2080TI as well.

That's not what P4-630 said... The point is that you're choosing to take a serious risk out of... bigotry against AMD? Why risk an used, potentially mined card when you can just buy a 6700 XT with warranty, have roughly the same performance, a little more VRAM and warranty's peace of mind?

We made our pitch. Ultimately it's your money, you snooze, you lose.

i already said before in 2 pages why for the moment i want to change red camp, because red camp always have tend to abandon suport drivers for their card soon or later.AMD services drivers for their card are max. 5 years....Nvidia drivers services are 8+ or even 9 years support drivers services for their product.GTX 980Ti still have driver in 2023...figure it !!And 980Ti is the same generation like my R9 Fury x-- 2015 year.
For me is enough to beg on AMD forum to make an new driver for my R9 Fury X.
1 year ago,i go on AMD forum and i beg for a new driver for my R9 Fury X.....and it worked ,my GOD listen my pray, and they release last driver in 2021 just because i beg them....but for me is enough.Until to beg them to release a new driver for my R9 Fury x in 2021,their last driver was 2019....so figure it

it's my post:

Not to mention AMD abandon drivers totally for win 8.1 pro x64 too. for EXAMPLE...Nvidia still have drivers for win 8.1 windows even if it is a dead windows already.
For years, AMD will have bad support drivers for their product don't know why. When Catalyst make drivers for AMD it was fine...when Crimson appeared it was a disaster for their line up of gpu card....

They have good and powerfull card, nothing to say.....but their support drivers always have problems...BUT ALWAYS !!!!
