Is this your guess or there is a something that confirms it?
It's Phison E16 controller right?
If it is it supports 1600 MHz.
Need to check if its running as 1600 MHz
Phison E18 supports higher iirc 2666 MHz

please would be possible to expand advanced search with following:
1. controller's H.B.M. support
2. size range supported of H.B.M. (e.g. default / custom or range from-to)
3. DRAM cache size (range from-to)
(atm. it's possible to just search if there is any DRAM cache but not size)

Not sure if such a filter makes sense. The NVMe spec doesn't define a range, only "minimum" and "preferred", Google for HMPRE and HMMIN

Also, going by my own real-life performance data it doesn't matter which size of HMB, but which algorithms, i.e. you want WD SN770 and you'll never notice you have a DRAM-less drive

Also, going by my own real-life performance data it doesn't matter which size of HMB, but which algorithms, i.e. you want WD SN770 and you'll never notice you have a DRAM-less drive
so e.g. the drives with Realtek RTS5762 controller as a Hybrid controller,
which supports DRAM Cache for storing Meta-Data, but also H.M.B. (Host Memory Buffer)

in this example A-ADATA has ones with 128MB DRAM on those
hence
those aren't faster / more responsive than just drives with HBM (in system RAM) only ?
(and ofc shall be better than no-HBM and no-DRAM cache drives while worse than drives with 1,2,4,GB onboard DRAM cache)

plus like recently SOLIDIGM shown with P41 (no-DRAM) and P44 Pro (nGB-DRAM)
with theirs custom driver (non Microsoft default driver ) it's more responsive (clever prefetch etc.)
plus they can use custom/dynamic size of HBM (not the default Microsoft driver enforced fixed size)
as result there are significant gains in performance

thus adding also one more point
4. database entry + filter search if the drive has custom driver not just default Microsoft one ;)

cause it would be nice to know/search if drive supports HBM at all (and what type), if it has fixed or custom size and if there is custom or not driver etc.

That's going to be a massive negative since you cant use directstorage with third party drivers

I can see the point of wanting to filter by DRAM/HBM, but too fine a level of detail won't help since some drives handle a lack of DRAM better than others

I don't see it ever being adopted onto linux, when it wont even work on 10
They locked the drivers down because they keep blocking it working, some DRM and antivirus block it still to this day - it's requirements to function are quite strict

i got in mind those features / improvements from Solidigm because it's in theirs interested to support linux based OSes (SteamOS, servers, workstations and in general enterprise)

in sense of DirectStorage, i expect someone to come up with OSS variant too ...

  • S500 Pro is listed as S5000 Pro.
  • In the search filters, under "Controller Manufacturer", MaxioTech is there twice with different capitalisation (and different amounts of drives shown for each).
  • Some drives I sent in January have still not been added :p I have even more that I haven't sent details of yet, too.

  • Some drives I sent in January have still not been added :p I have even more that I haven't sent details of yet, too.
oh Thank for the heads up i'll fix those things
Hmm can you help remember which drives you sent me in janurary? To be honest i've been quite busy so i didn't have much time and probably forgot them but i'll try ASAP

  • S500 Pro is listed as S5000 Pro.
  • In the search filters, under "Controller Manufacturer", MaxioTech is there twice with different capitalisation (and different amounts of drives shown for each).

  • S500 Pro - Fixed
  • MaxioTech fixed
Thanks for the heads up. If you don't mind can you tell me again which drive i need to add?

  • Integral V2 Series 2.5" 120GB (I also now have details for the 240GB version that I haven't sent yet - it uses completely different components)
  • Patriot Burst Elite (this is not the same as Burst as far as I can tell)

I also have the following new info (let me know if you want the flash id txt for each):
  • Kingston A400 with SMI controller and Micron B47R flash.
  • Silicon Power A55 128GB with SMI controller and Micron B47R flash.

In the ZIP file I sent you in January I included a PDF for each drive.

Well, with the Integral brand, I'm not sure how well known they are outside of Western-Europe. A lot of reviews of SSDs seem to come from Eastern-Europe etc. I did take some photos of the inside of one of the Integral V2 drives, but I don't know where they are at the moment.
