Which 4090 to get?

Hello everyone,
It's time that I retire my 980ti (it still works fine but it's starting to show its age a bit) and looking to just get a 4090 and hope that I get the same longevity out of it that I did with my 980ti. Right now, there is quite a few of them on amazon being sold by amazon. My choices right now seem to be
MSI Gaming X Trio $1599.99
ASUS TUF OC $1699
MSI Suprim Liquid X $1799
ASUS ROG Strix $1967

Looking over these options, i'm shocked that the liquid one is so close to these other ones. I want the ROG Strix but being $350 over the other ones, I don't think it's really worth it. I've looked over all the benchmarks and they all seem to be pretty close to each other. Leaning more toward the Gaming X Trio but is the TUF OC worth the $100 upcharge?

I've had the zotac gaming one for over 6 months and it only gets to 63c when gaming full blast. I love it.

Get the FE at MSRP or the Gaming X Trio.

None of the others offer anything to justify the price difference.

Gaming X Trio is a fine card.

If you still have $350 budget burning a hole in your pocket, get an ATX 3.0 PSU and upgrade your case fans, NF-A12x25 or Phanteks T30 are both solid upgrades which you'll notice more than the difference between two AIB 4090s.

FE will have highest resale value, and IMO is the best build quality.

Bear in mind 4090 Ti will probably release within 3-6 months, and should have ~10-15% higher performance.

they all perform the same and in the end i want to be safe with a card that expensive.
i have two 4090s and the Zotac amp extreme airo is really nice and quiet (495W PL) and you get a 5 year long warranty which is not the case with the other board partners.

I've personally never used Zotac but have seen it as an option with pretty good reviews. I see there warranty is only 3 years though, still better than most.

I have a MSI Gaming X Trio, it is working fine for me. As @dgianstefani mentioned, they are close enough to performance of one another, there is not a reason to pay more than you have to.

Zotac makes good products, I had a few of their cards during the Fermi era and Pascal era. I would buy another one if I had the opportunity to do so.

You withstood for that long only to succumb to this lackluster as good as it is 5090 should introduce the 3N node and GDDR7. basically dropping the 4090 to 5070 level of performance so quick in just 15 months.

I like the Asus card due to it having an extra HDMI port. I have the non-OC tuf and it clocks great and keeps very cool for pulling the wattage it does.

TUF is pretty good in my experience with the 30 series. If you’re looking around there are a few reputable sellers parting out gigabyte 4090s for like $1300 sometimes. Idk what makes those cards cheaper but could be worth it.

There's not much point, 4N node 4090 runs on is very cool.

Optimus and Heatkiller have the best blocks.

@Malicesin for the price of the asus liquid cooled one you could get the MSI one , upgrade the psu and still have spare cash.

I currently have a 1000w PSU but its the same one I've been using since I got the 980ti, so I should get a new one anyways.

As someone said, not worth it as the 4090 has no overhead to overclock really. Just extra $$ for no gains. Looks cool but IMO, not worth it with these cards. in my scenario, I was considering the MSI AIO card just because its down to the price of these others, at least pretty close.

AIOs don't last. Pump noise may well be louder than the air cooled variants, plus the air cooled cards all run very cool anyway.

IF you can get the FE just buy the Fe. Otherwise they all perform about the same some are just more quiet than others.... Keep in mind even the 2000 usd strix can have obnoxiously bad coil whine same with the Suprim so if that bothers you it may take trying a couple different variants so buy from somewhere with a good return policy.

Welcome to the infinite cycle of what having a computer is. Something will always be better.

It's like saying if I didn't buy a GeForce 2, I would have gotten a 4090 If I just waited 20 years lol.
