I already knew about the weight and I heard the same things about the AF. However, I've heard that a lot of people use the EF adapter for these third party lenses primarily to positive effect. I'm just not sure if what I read is dated info at this point. If you've used it, I'd be curious to hear what your opinions are in comparison to the 100-500mm which would be my preference if I had the extra money laying around.

I only used a Sigma 300mm 2.8 and it was with a Fuji on a 3rd party adapter. A lot of headaches.

As for Canon RF, only used the EF adapter with a Canon 100-400 MkII.

I made engine noises and he found it hilarious and we had a competition where we took turns making the sound faster and faster (he won, easily) - I've got a video (cant post, shows my kid) where he goes into 9001 LPM mode and just goes BRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Oh, firmware hacked my brothers old DJI spark drone to unlock the full range from it, able to fly it about 2KM away now and get some impressive shots
Getting about 30% more battery life, too.

Personally i was surprised by the gold in the wings, i've never seen that before or heard of it online - it's described as 'bronze' sometimes but in sunlight it was a vibrant metallic gold

Pardon the image quality, but I was far away and didn't have my camera setup for fast motion and it's a deep crop. I will say that the motion blur makes our David look more imposing against our Goliath. For those who are not from this area, this is a Blue Jay attacking a Red Tailed Hawk. I tried to get closer, but the hawk decided that taking flight was the right thing to do.

Speaking of things birds like to defend, I think these are eastern phoebe chicks under my in-law's deck. I couldn't see them, but the camera at 12800 ISO could. I heard them, couldn't see them, and figured the camera could help me out and it did.

It just eats my 1080ti alive, but it produces good results...

So my question how much seconds on 24-30Mpx you have on your GPU? I am considering Radeon as my next card, but I cannot find any performance numbers to ease my suspicion, that it could perform bad on RDNA vs nvidia.

Definitely a red winged blackbird. I've found the Merlin Bird ID app to be pretty helpful.

Yes. Lightroom classic. Last updates have AI denoise feature. And it is really awesome.

Just open RAW and scroll down the right side bar in develop menu like in this review.

It really takes like 30-60s on one image, it really irritates me especially if you have a shoot of 200+ RAWs ahead. It summs up in a massive amount of computed(wasted) time for me, thus I need an upgrade.

But nobody has reviewed it in AMD vs NVIDIA or intel in terms of performance, does it use Tensor cores? How much better than AMD?

Look - no birds!

No post processing, just a crop of the statue of George Washington in front of the Philly Art Museum and me attempting to be creative with Washington watching from "the other side."

105mm, ƒ4, 1/500s, ISO 100. Probably should have stopped down a bit to widen the DoF. Washington's head and the horse's nose is slightly out of focus. Something ƒ5.6 and halving the shutter speed probably could have cleared up.

I used f16 for the meadow and lake shots. I figure if I'm doing landscape, rather than trying focus stacking, I'll make best use of aperture, as long as it's bright enough. I'd probably use f8 for anything else where I want a larger item as the focus.

This, OTOH, has intentionally shallow DOF. A winery in the castle.

and it seems to use the 3090 to do it, according to this

That's not it. Just apply and see the progress bar, how fast it creates the new DNG. It should be close to the estimated time tho.

But it looks much faster already.
