Ryzen Master is having several issues. That's for sure.

I'm not sure what other software can do that. PBO Tuner's ReadMe suggests that HwInfo can be used to see CO values. I am on the latest version of HwInfo64 and don't see them shown.

5050 is the hard limit. I can't go higher without adjusting bclk. This motherboard doesn't have an eclk option.

Having tested with a few different programs and different instruction sets, there does not appear to be any significant difference in effective clock speed between -50 and -60 co on the cores that can achieve those settings.

Is there a temp difference between -50 and -60? It is too early to tell especially if you are already pegged at 5050 on -50, but if temps, VID and Vcore are all completely unchanged I would lean towards there being zero difference.

There is a measurable difference in VID and a serious difference in temperature. For the cores that can achieve -60 CO, the cores have an average temperature of 55c and a VID of 1.025v while under load. With all other things being equal except CO being no higher than -50, the cores have an average temperature of 72c and a VID of 1.035v under load. The inserted links show HwInfo with CB23 running.

That really doesn't sound right...maybe for 0 vs -60, not -50 vs. 60. That just sounds like CO wasn't working/set on the other one, or the -60 is really unstable and not running properly. Something don't look right with the power/current numbers for the -60 CO.

However, if the 30A / 55C result is just Cinebench in between loops, then it looks like it's actually ~52A @ 62-67C vs. ~52A @ 71-74C, which looks much more reasonable and logical and real nice. Rock on!

I guess X3D is the way to go from now on. Taking advantage of improved yields + much lower clock/Vcore envelope closer to N5 sweet spot = crazy Intel-esque undervolt headroom. A real winner compared to regular Raphael.

@Mussels has done some testing, he could probably help you out.

What is your VSOC?
I switched in a 3100 to see if the issue still exist and it does so I will have to swap back in the 5800x to get the voltages from that. Because the 3100 also has the same issue I guess that points to a bad motherboard. Either the chipset is bad ot it keeps sending wrong voltages I guess.

I had faced problems by disabling memory Power Down (all my problems infact)

Note -
Do not disable Memory Power Down with Memory Context Restore enabled on AGESA 1007B. Known issue. To be addressed IN AGESA 1008. Take care!

Okay here are my voltages with the 5800x
SOC: 1.1
VDDG IOD: 9.002
VDDG CCD: 9.002
Fabric Clock: 1.600

Any of these seem off enough to cause my USB external storage to not work or audio to pop?

What is everyone's thoughts on disabling Memory Integrity for a smoother gaming experience, I am running a 5600x3d I got as a $120 upgrade to my rig. Turn off or keep on? @lexluthermiester @Mussels Anyone else with a X3d chip here feel to answer as well. Not sure if most people leave this on or turn it off. My gaming seems to be fine so far, I did have to turn off page filing to make God of War run smooth, but I wonder now if maybe I should turn page filing back on and disable memory integrity and that might make it run smooth... hmm never thought of this until just now

Seems like the wrong place to look to solve any frame consistency issues. If it caused widespread stuttering, complaints would be everywhere by now considering it's all on by default.

It and TSME/SME both affect memory performance noticeably, but like the other new Win11 security measures, gaming performance is usually only slightly affected in fps metrics.

I run no fTPM on my desktop and media PC, but all security features enabled on my G14. No meaningful difference to gaming experience. And that's most of the time gaming with the 680M iGPU, which in theory should be most affected.

Probably pagefile is more worth your time. On Intel memory integrity needs to be off to use Throttlestop, but that's not relevant to AMD.

Excellent. Well the page file thing worked for me, so I guess I will just leave it on since everything is running smoothly.

That's interesting. On all my Ryzen builds memory integrity was never on by default.

When tinkering with this option I've never noticed an improvement either way when I was having issues with Horizon Zero Dawn stuttering anyway.

Perhaps another thing to try instead of disabling or fixing your pagefile is to enable write caching on your SSD via the drive properties. I would be interested to know if this has an impact in your scenario.

did enabling write caching on your ssd fix the stuttering for you in HZD? I will re-enable page file to default, and turn this on and see if it gives me same smooth result, if not back to disabling page file I go.

I'll report back in a couple days.

@W1zzard I really wish this website had a '!remind in two days' like Reddit does, would really help me in scenarios like this one, as I have terrible memory.

Actually I didn't try that LOL. I think it ended up being the HDMI connection to my monitor was the main issue. First I replaced the HDMI cable with a better one and that helped a lot but ultimately switching to display port is what solved the issue, then changing display driver settings started to have a positive impact on frametimes. My monitor is supposed to support 60Hz but with HDMI it glitches on boot or after sleep and tears the screen down the middle with the 2nd half offset about 20cm down from top for some reason I haven't figured out why but clearly there was some issue there impacting my gaming even after correcting the Hz to fix the vertical screen tear.
I will re-enable page file to default, and turn this on and see if it gives me same smooth result, if not back to disabling page file I go.

I'll report back in a couple days.

If you do a completely normal Win11 install and meeting all Microsoft official requirements, the virtualization-based security and core integrity are enabled by default. Meaning fTPM or discrete TPM on, not modding the ISO with Rufus, not disabling Secure Boot, etc. We are only a tiny subset of the overall Windows userbase, most people don't go disabling all this stuff in pursuit of more performance.

This depends on whether or not you have virtualization enabled or disabled. If enable, leave it on. If disabled, turn it off as it would be useless anyway.

Turns out you can keep 7000 series under 95C with PBO and no lapping/deliding or anything crazy you just need 2x360mm radiators. I am getting 5.2 Ghz on CCD1 and 5.1 on CCD2 during cinebench with -20 offset.

This new board is an absolute beast compared to what I am used to. Honestly, I am not sure if I will buy another B type board. The price sucks but hmmm. This board reminds me of my Rampage III Formula with that high end feel all around. None of my Strix boards have that feel. The XE almost had it.. still a nice board, but the DH is way nicer. But.. the XE has better slot spacing lol. Go figure

Go figure

Not the B550 vs X570 difference, but the difference between fake ROG and real ROG

Seriously, Strix is just TUF that put on a cheap suit

Exactly. Other than running in Gen4, there is no difference.. just more USB :D

Now I know what real ROG vs Strix is :)

Edit:

And it only cost me +500 to see this!

Asus: "$100 extra for each sensor"
Me: "but Asus, everyone else already has these for free"
Asus: "best offer, take it or leave it"

The Impact was $500 in 2021. The Gene is now $800. My next board is almost assuredly back to Gigabyte, because I cannot afford to keep bending over for Asus like this
