I try to keep it to 2 at a time, it works better for my sanity, nothing worse than walking around the side of a hill expecting to fight a dragon to find a horde of zombies behind you looking for supper.
Yeah 2 is also my max at a time and sometimes I'm only playing 1 game until I'm done, anything more and I would never finish a single game and its already taking me a long time to finish anything.

I'm same way, if I don't focus on one or two games max I won't be able to savor them/finish them, then I will end up jumping around and never finishing anything. I have developed a new habit where I journal by hand every game, book, or movie I finish. Just for personal reflection and it helps me keep on track. So if I finish a movie, I write date finished, score out of 10, name of movie, etc. Then I move on to next thing. This is the only way I can stay focused and on track for some reason, I have no idea why.

I am still playing Dave the Diver at the moment, and dabbling in custom battles in Stronghold HD.

Aside from my brother and I modding the crap out of Valheim and completing it, as much as you can since the game isn't finished yet, I've turned my gaming attention to an older game: Dungeon Siege

I've been getting old physical copies made to .iso and I finally decided to jump back into the realms of Dungeon Siege and play through the expansion Legends of Aranna (since I never actually played the expansion, I just had it in my collection for years, unplayed). I'm actually playing through the main game first, then I'll move into the expansion for it. I haven't snapped any screen shots, but I'm enjoying the game. I forgot how enjoyable some of the older games can be. I spent maybe 8 hours over the weekend.

I don't know what it is about Dungeon Siege III, but that game looks fucking bonkers good on my 27" 1440p screen. Played it off and on over the years. It's crazy how some old games aged really well / scale to higher resolutions really well. Dragon Age Origins is another that always looks impressive to me at 27" 1440p.

Just twice eh? I've lost count how many times I've finished FC1. No diss intended, just a bit surprised you haven't beaten a few more times.
I've played it hella many times for about half of it, but then I just forget it and like to start over again. Until that same happens. And again. And again. And again...

Nahh!!! is like that tale from one of your friends telling the story that he went party alone and picked 2 or 3 hotties and took them home.... everybody looks at him...
PICS OR NEVER HAPPENED .
i love AC Origins and spent a lot of hours, there are some pics of mine in this thread as well with my old GTX 1070. Enjoy!!
Well i did reach those dizzy heights but the game crashed four times yesterday and wouldn't reload so its no longer on my pc.
I so loved playing that game, the missions, the battles the story. I was all set to buy Mirage when this happened. Looking online it seems they don't care about their fan base any longer.
Ubisoft either couldn't or wouldn't answer my email, their support pages are really naff.

Hot Wheels on Forza Horizon 3 is still a lot of fun and is free roam with any car you like.
forza-horizon-3.jpg

On the other hand, in Hot Wheels on FH5 you have to grind through levels to be able to free ride, which is a tad annoying.
Forza Horizon 5-hot-wheels.jpg

The FH5 Hot Wheels expansion is massive.

High on Life sure has some weird stuff in it.

Currently playing this and Diablo 4 Season 1 so my progress is pretty slow but the game makes me laugh so I'm defo finishing it.
After that I'm gonna play Serious Sam Siberian Mayhem since it was added to Gamepass recently and I've already finished SS 4 earlier this year.

new humble bundle came out today, I got it for about 3 of the games. However, there was one game on there called Arcade Paradise. I decided to put it on my Steam Deck since it was Deck verified, I went into it blind, didn't even go to the store page.

HOLY FUCK THIS GAME IS AWESOME!!!! Arcade Paradise is a hidden gem, much like Dave the Diver was. Wow. Honestly these two games may become tied for my goty. Playing them on Deck makes them even more immersive imo, cause I can just get truly kicked back and enjoying them. It's funny, there are some games I enjoy more on my Deck then I would on Desktop, and vice versa... I was not expecting that when I initially bought the Deck. Man I love Steam OS so much, everything is so fast and smooth, I love that I can just hit the power button whenever I want in any game that I want to pause and sleep the entire system when I want a break, and then boom resumes me instantly where I left off in less than two seconds. It's just so refreshing.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU DO NOT CLICK ON THE LINK, just go into it blind, and let the Steam Deck fun wash over you baby! :rockout::rockout::rockout::rockout::rockout::rockout::rockout::rockout:

Arcade Paradise, I am only like 30-45 minutes into it, but it is a 10/10 from me already. HIdden gem of the year. Dave the Diver I am like 4 hours in and it is also 10/10 from me. If you own a Deck and don't own these games, shame on you. @Nordic @TheoneandonlyMrK and i almost went through the entire steam deck owners clubhouse and tagged everyone there here, but not going to do that cause y'all will beat the shit out of me LMAO

Using vulkan via DXVK as covered here in the GN thread

Gotta love perfectly flat frametime graphs with zero stutter and no added input latency whatsoever
Screenshot 2023-08-02 155635.png

Wish i could compare the stock experience vs that - i should see about using one of the frame analysis tools.

CapFrameX with dxvk
Nvidias overlay tends to show about double what the vulkan overlay and these frametimes show, so either its using two frame render ahead or it's including the refresh time of the display and doing the 'system latency' measurement

DX9 vs DXVK, 143FPS cap for both
uncapped always performs worse
Screenshot 2023-08-02 165722.png

Same data, different presentation method

Screenshot 2023-08-02 165826.png

I also noticed that vulkan simply looks better - theres *zero* shimmering around characters/objects and its just smooth all the time.
When I changed to DX9 i instantly noticed shimmering around objects, that simply arent there in DXVK

Using vulkan via DXVK as covered here in the GN thread

Gotta love perfectly flat frametime graphs with zero stutter and no added input latency whatsoever

Same data, different presentation method

I also noticed that vulkan simply looks better - theres *zero* shimmering around characters/objects and its just smooth all the time.
When I changed to DX9 i instantly noticed shimmering around objects, that simply arent there in DXVK
Gotta try using DXVK for BL2. I stopped playing it because the crashes drove me mad.

Yeah thanks for that.... Looking about online i found a solution which was what i did anyways. Completely remove all traces of the game and Ubisoft, then re-install everything and 'lo-and-behold' its as if nothing happened.... It's back....?!
Dunno why that worked but it did.

Maybe you only needed to remove "C:\Users\YOUR USER NAME\Documents\My Games\Borderlands 2". Because the game saves all its config files and saves on it. (I have 9 config files on it right now).
