Gotta try using DXVK for BL2. I stopped playing it because the crashes drove me mad.
PhysX kicked the game above the 4GB ceiling (RAM + VRAM) and crashed it out, definitely keep that on low even with dxvk

Maybe you only needed to remove "C:\Users\YOUR USER NAME\Documents\My Games\Borderlands 2". Because the game saves all its config files and saves on it. (I have 9 config files on it right now).
his comment was on an asscreed game, not BL2.

cutting the user folder out and letting steam re-sync the saves helps, i've got a starcraft II folder like that, it corrupted a file i dont have permission to delete but could move. Stopped the game loading multiplayer maps somehow.

Been playing Half-Life Alyx and it's a really dark game, some parts resemble the old HL2 Beta showing more mechanised and brute enemies rather than the almost cartoony characters and shooter maps from the retail HL2.

The atmosphere can be depressing sometimes, once you clear out all the enemies and get to explore the levels in detail. The buildings and alleys remind me of the city near me, minus the alien infestation that is. All the ruined hallways, decrepit interiors with dim lights, older electronics and machinery is something I could easily find where I live, and it all seemingly looks and feels the same, I get this is for development reasons but it also resembles reality. Slums with massive apartment blocks all look the same inside.

Lovely.

I've played it hella many times for about half of it, but then I just forget it and like to start over again. Until that same happens. And again. And again. And again...
Ah yes... been there!!

I ditched it once monsters showed up.
Really? That's when it started getting good! You missed out on some of the best parts of the game...

new humble bundle came out today, I got it for about 3 of the games. However, there was one game on there called Arcade Paradise. I decided to put it on my Steam Deck since it was Deck verified, I went into it blind, didn't even go to the store page.

HOLY FUCK THIS GAME IS AWESOME!!!! Arcade Paradise is a hidden gem, much like Dave the Diver was. Wow. Honestly these two games may become tied for my goty. Playing them on Deck makes them even more immersive imo, cause I can just get truly kicked back and enjoying them. It's funny, there are some games I enjoy more on my Deck then I would on Desktop, and vice versa... I was not expecting that when I initially bought the Deck. Man I love Steam OS so much, everything is so fast and smooth, I love that I can just hit the power button whenever I want in any game that I want to pause and sleep the entire system when I want a break, and then boom resumes me instantly where I left off in less than two seconds. It's just so refreshing.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU DO NOT CLICK ON THE LINK, just go into it blind, and let the Steam Deck fun wash over you baby! :rockout::rockout::rockout::rockout::rockout::rockout::rockout::rockout:

Arcade Paradise, I am only like 30-45 minutes into it, but it is a 10/10 from me already. HIdden gem of the year. Dave the Diver I am like 4 hours in and it is also 10/10 from me. If you own a Deck and don't own these games, shame on you. @Nordic @TheoneandonlyMrK and i almost went through the entire steam deck owners clubhouse and tagged everyone there here, but not going to do that cause y'all will beat the shit out of me LMAO

I picked up Arcade Paradise from a Fanatical bundle several months ago. It occupied most of my Deck time for a while. Fantastic game, I also recommend.

I haven't finished the story (it's building toward a confrontation with Dad, I think, but I haven't gotten there yet), but I intend to go back to it. In the meantime, I picked up Midnight Suns in the Steam summer sale, and that's been hogging my Deck time lately.

My GRID Legends racing day yesterday was dismal.
The first race at Bathurst, Australia started very badly and I had to restart the race about five times due to being sideswiped by aggressive competitors. In the end I gave up in order to fight another day.
In some other races, I was leading in the last lap and either another car mysteriously zoomed past me in the last few seconds or I was spun around 30 seconds from the finish line.
Not a good day at the office.
You have to be aggressive but there is no Frustrating Racing Game like Project Cars 2. They even put puddles on the tracks around corners (while raining) and if you like to cut corners it happens. The next thing about Grid Legends is how fun it is to pass cars on any corner and nothing has the hot rod feel of Grid.

For some reason I can't save screenshots but all the news about Remnant 2 reminded me that I have the first Game. If you have it and have not played it you should definitely give it a go.

The burnt body model was included in the early builds of the game and somehow made it to release, which is weird because that particular model was supposed to appear in areas where you'd fight a cut enemy, "the cremator" which would appear in the abandoned sewer tunnels part of the game that was also cut. He was removed due to XYZ dev reasons and hardware limitations of the time, all the flamethrower effects were very taxing on graphics cards of the time.
The cremator head ended up being an easter egg but the body appears in odd places that make think "what's this burnt guy doing here?".

The worst part is that they removed the Free TV part.

I only ever played 2, I tried 3 and 4 but it all just felt like more of the same, and I usually pursue "different experiences" in my choice of gaming. I liked 2, and beat it, but I just don't want to play the same game over and over.

What I'm playing right now?

And it's Nightcore too :D You be surprise on what this old man listens too. Right now I've been listening more to Aggressive Phunk lately.

OH you mean Games. Right now a chess program I downloaded. IMHO... there is just too much garbage out there that are pretending to be Video games being cranked out by the AAA industry.

An interesting one, starting to get a little old by now, but is essentially a cross between Borderlands and Metro Exodus, with maybe a little Far Cry as well.

I only ever played 2, I tried 3 and 4 but it all just felt like more of the same, and I usually pursue "different experiences" in my choice of gaming. I liked 2, and beat it, but I just don't want to play the same game over and over.

Shame they split the remaster of 2 from all of the DLC. Making it considerably less appealing and the full package with 4 look better. Style of gameplay in 2 seemed more in line with defining intent of this series, ie funner. Meaning shift from being sniper game into the considerably higher amounts of direct enemy confrontations in 4/5.

Have yet to devote more than a few minutes to SE4 or AC Origins.
