Killing Nazis in Sniper Elite 5.

Well, tranquilising most, then killing the real bad guys. I've disabled the silly x-ray gore camera.
How is that game? early reviews were mixed so i pushed it back on my to-do list.

I played all the previous titles in coop, so info on that would be relevant

Just playing single player. It's a game I don't feel enslaved to. I guess that makes it alright. Fun but lots of creeping around.

It is fun how you can approach areas from different ways, its not linear like a lot of games, but also not so open world that you just get lost. It's really a nice balance, that is what that series has going for it the most imo. It gives it an element of "free agency" imo that a lot of games don't give you, which makes it exciting. Unless it's too easy for you, in which case maybe you should move on from games and become a strategic analyst at a think tank

I've been doing daily coop gaming with JC316 for about 300 years now (long lived mollusc, he's just a texan vampire)

As long as it's not broken like dying light 2 was, it's worth it for us... that game was a mess. ~2 hours of solo gameplay to unlock multiplayer, then everything was desynced all the time. He'd be yelling for help being eaten by a zombie but on my screen he was 3 houses away headbutting a lamppost

the game looks stunning... doesn't even feel like a platformer anymore

now imagine it in OLED... and fall over in bliss. someday I will own an OLED monitor, mark my words!!! GLORY WILL BE MINE SOMEDAY!

32" 4k OLED 240hz monitors arrive next year... I just wish they could switch seamlessly between native 4k, 1440p, and 1080p modes without any issues on the scaling. cause my 4k content and games i could actually run are quite limited at the fps I want them to run at. I wonder if I could get dragon age origins to run at 240 fps 240hz in 4k... hmmm... :D

on topic so mods don't whip me: tonight I was drafting in Magic the Gathering Arena, Magic the Gathering has a special draft format today and tomorrow only I believe to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the game, 10,000 gold entry!!! SPILL YOUR GOLD BUCKETS OUT NOW YEEEEHAAA

Steam only?!? WTAH?!?
Come on CornFox Bros, bring this game home to GOG!!

i have the first Oceanhorn on my Steam Deck right now.

honestly if GoG made it easier/seamless to get my GoG games on Deck, I'd be more than happy to do more GoG games than steam, but seeing as how I love Deck so much, and 100% am buying Deck 2 on day 1... yeah I am kind of screwed. true it's not super hard to get other games or even emulate games on Deck, but life is just so much easier with it all being through Steam.

that being said I haven't actually tried to use GoG games on my Deck yet, maybe its easier than I think.

Waiting patiently for God of War Ragnarök (PC) to launch.
Had to "Copy-Paste" the "ö"!

I believe we will have to wait until October or November 2024, Sony said they are on a two year cycle for major titles to remain exclusive before coming to PC. It came out November 9, 2022, so we still have awhile to wait, I don't mind waiting though, I have a lot of backlog.

Replaying MGS:V after 4 years. Turns out the game's online portion keeps accumulating these point things even when you're not playing. Found out that I have millions of them that I abused to get resources and S++ personnel. Not sure if this broke the game or improved it. On one hand, I stopped paying attention to resources and hunting them, on the other, no more waiting hours for the boring automatic processing thing.

Also replaying Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. And God! How I hated (and still do) this game!
Awful scaling, and that ridiculous "availability" concept! Why on earth would anyone make an RPG with leveling and stat-dependent gamplay but force the player to use one or two OP characters because everyone else can't survive a single hit?
The game is either insanely frustrating or stupid easy, with zero potential to get attached or used to any specific unit.

I really, really need to stop replaying games I hate...

Not straightforward, but not overly complicated either, especially if you're familiar with flatpaks.
Check out Bottles. (Or launchers such as Lutris, although I've no experience with them, tbh).

I only played the Fire Emblem game on the GBA (Blazing sword or something) and it took some patience to level the charachters evenly. A buddy got to the end game and came to a point when he realised he had to start over because he only had like two or three good units and that was not enough to finish the game... Otherwise I quite liked the game.

Pre-Sacred Stones games had that issue. Could easily screw up your game if you didn't plan well from the start. One reason to minimize use of early promoted units, they suck up XP opportunities without any gains.

Arcade Paradise is getting downgraded to 9/10 for me, I am getting a bit tired of doing laundry heh

One thing I will say though is how easy and fast it is to dial in watt usage on Steam deck. It was very easy to find wattage works best for this game by watching fps counter and turning down watts until I lost 60 fps. This game only uses 6 watts ON deck for 60 fps. Wild. Such a cool feature though, Steam OS is very user friendly, I love it

@Nordic now I know what you were talking about with stardew valley and 5 watts getting crazy good battery life. I think I will still run stardew at 7 watts, cause as the farm grows and stuff it might just need a little more oomph.

Just grabbed Rage as it was cheap on sale, better than i expected.

Played Sniper Elite 5 a fair bit, imo it's very good, looks great too. Got all the DLC for it, some of them are pretty nice. Got 40ish hours on it. Keep going back to it, it's good coop too.

Got all 3 borderlands, love 2 the most but imo borderlands 1 GOTY enhanced is not far off.

If you don't start any laundry until after "last load in", the only loads you'll have to do are the three that are waiting when you first walk in. ;)

Not sure what you mean, so put all 3 loads on in the morning when I walk in and let rest just get stacked there until next day.? Or leave the 3 there all day until closing time and pop in all 3 and get hem out of dryer in morning?

Star Wars Jedi Survivor , downloading now , can't wait to play .
With max everything at 4K RAW , the most resourced hog of all my games ,ALMOST 24 GB of VRAM , 100 percent GPU usages , highest temp 68C ever for a game , with fan curve , room temp at 70F !
But story and visuals are stunning , have to say GOD OF WAR and HOGWARTS LEGACY are # 1 and 2 in that department so far , might chance once I complete this game .
