Looks like Air conditioning is needed to keep a consistent room temp otherwise the room turn into a sauna room as it not the first time I walked into a cctv room with no air circulation as the sweat was pouring out of me while trying to retrieve cctv footage for the police as the computer was in the 2000 era

Well someone should tell Shaw, their equipment keeps dying on me and I lose whole seasons of recordings. Very annoying! Think I sold my system for enough to get a really
nice x99 mobo. Well it's spend up to 300can on a x99 mobo or 500can for a few extra cores on my tr system.... My 2699 says its x99 time....

Can you order from evga.com? They've got refurb X99 mATX boards for USD150 today. You know, if that even qualifies as "really nice".

Likewise, save for an X15 mouse. That may not be the mouse's fault, and could be USB controller hiccups. Though I've not ordered a B-stock MB.

Thanks! Though I'm not real sure where to start with that on my particular bios. I bought a cheap Atermiter X99 board ($50 on AliExpress) and am rocking a 2699A V4. I was able to flash a modified Huananzhi bios so now I at least have smart fan functionality... This thing is awesome, especially for the price but would love to do an undervolt to hopefully keep my clocks at 3ghz under full load, when all cores are hit it drops down to 2.7ghz.

If that board has voltage controls in the BIOS, that how you would do it.

For the $50 board there's about 85% chance it have no voltage control available to it regardless only proper branded boards have this

Ver 6.5 XTU used to work for me, now it says Im running some other tuning software and refuses to go beyond the start screen.
when it worked I was able to downvolt to -0.05 less for not much purpose saved 5-10 watts or something.. -0,1 was not stable but mine runs at 3.2 Ghz and needs higher voltage to begin with.

Hmm interesting, so while running cinebench I ran Throttlestop to see what limits it was hitting. When it instantly goes to 2.7ghz it's saying that's the max turbo.

Power limit. mine was dropping 3.1 for the same reason but I have only 79 watts in cinebench must have been some other software. open up hwinfo. 145W could blow up your motherboards power delivery

You have a 2699A V4 as well?

That would be vrm limited due to less phase count available as well you might have to mod it to fit some sort of heatsink just to make it abit more stable and cooler for longer. Without it running the risk of the vrm overheating and blown up at the same time

I have 4627 V4 10 cores that is getting really hot and power hungry at 3.2GHz 1.1V for 135 W in prime and 100 C unable to keep it cool with just one 90 mm fan at 900 RPM.
I believe my other 2690 V4 will be able to hold 3.2 in cinebench. 135 W as well.

I have two 2698v4 that'll go up to 150w. Barely hit 50-55c with Fuma 2 coolers.

Just noticed my max multi is 36. This thing has been bios modded! I'm seeing all core turbo of 2.8 up to 3.2. I was at first bummed my 5820k was fd... but this is more fun!

Does anyone here run ubuntu on there dell poweredge?

I have a Dell poweredge T620 and for some reason cant seem to get ubuntu running smoothly on my dell. I suspect its mostly my nvidia p2000 but was hoping for other reasons?
