AMD hasn't provided a code yet... what's the point of giving the Premium edition if they aren't going give codes out before Sept 6th.

AMD usually waits until game launch to hand out the actual keys for their game promos. Hopefully they'll take the early access into account and send the notification by launch time tomorrow.

Can't remember any in the past that arrived in time to pre-load.

If you've got a fast enough internet speed the decryption after preload will probably take longer than the download itself too

I have it downloaded. I'm actually skeptical I am going to like it it's mostly for my wife.

Loved Oblivion hate both Fallout 3/4 and Skyrim.... Well hate is a strong word didn't enjoy them is probably more fitting.

Honestly Fallout 4 is the reason I want to play this. That game was so stupid and nonsensical in so many ways, but it was also incredibly entertaining. Skyrim made more sense, but it was mostly a nice place to be, even if the story and writing was meh. It was a nice walking simulator.

I've heard the devs say StarField is more like Oblivion than it is Skyrim so that should be good news for you

I think what killed Fallout 4 for me was Witcher 3 coming out 6 months earlier and being substantially better even though I enjoyed Witcher 1/2 I didn't expect 3 to be such a leap over pretty much every other open world game. I think if they released the other way around my opinion of Fallout 4 would be higher.

Here's hoping, I don't mind supporting them as a developer either way the freedom they have allowed modders has been pretty awesome and I've always liked Todd Howard.

I haven't played the Witcher games, but Fallout 4 is not a thing to be taken seriously. I absolutely hated it for a long time, but eventually I started to play it for real and it's like watching the right kind of bad movie: You're left wondering at the silliness of it all and you ask yourself how in the world they had the budget for it. Which honestly I kinda like more than most attempts at serious games.

I'll try it on Game Pass and hope that my machine is up to it and also if keyboard and mouse will be ok for flight controls. I had difficulty with the flying in Halo Infinite.
The trailer looks really cool.

Your system is above the min so you should be fine with FSR.

I've decided against preloading, Steam decryption is way too inefficient. Needs double the storage space + it takes its sweet time doing it, downloading when it unlocks is faster.

Yeah thats fast alright, my current max is around 50 MBs if I leave it unlimited tho I often limit my DL speed since I'm not the only one using the connection in the house. 'my bro was sleeping so I let it DL at max speed now'
Tho I really don't mind that, not in such a hurry anyway. 'Tbh I was fine with a slower connection in the past, I just left my DLs running in the background while I was watching a movie or something'

I don't really need this speed either but the lower tiers save me like a max of $20 a month so really not worth it in my book. Cheapest unlimited plan is $65 here just an example and that requires a year contract and goes up after.
