Win9x family is as stable as software you run it on.
It has no proper (read: limited) memory protection, so one buggy program has a lot larger potential to bring whole system down than in anything NT-family (as there each process gets its little sandbox of memory to play-in and if it tries to go out of it, system says "Nope").
So with good 3rd party apps it is possible you'll have it ran well and stable, but you kind of have to know which apps are good.

The retro gaming is easily done with an emulator so that’s not big of a deal. I just like the old hardware with original boxes. Super cool to have and look back when you have the storage space!

Took the words right out of my mouth there matey :)

If I get a chance over the weekend Ill show you some of my super cool original retail boxes too.

Ooooh I had one of the 8800 GTS G92 512’s as well. Bought an XFX on release. That was such a funky Gen. IRRC it was the 8800 GTS G92-> 9800GTX-> 9800GTX+ -> GTS 250 were all basically the same other than die shrinks early on. Another one of those fun times from the big green!

Amazing!!! I’ve been searching for those processors for soooo long in a box. Especially the P4EE hahaha, so hard to find! Core 2 QX6800 or QX6850? I guess it could be a QX6700 as well? Lol Dang and that X850 is minty fresh. Solid buddy!

Yeah, the 478 ones seem to be more abundant than the 775 ones.

I was actually looking for a 478 Boxed P4EE when stumbled across this one. Thought I'd better grab it :)

I found a boxed Pentium 840 EE but they want like $500 for it lol and it’s a bit beat up a bit so I’m waiting. Would be a cool addition though. Basically two of those P4EE’s slapped together haha!

What is the Core 2 Quad model?

Yeah, would like to add that one.

QX9650. I actually had one before this one and sold it. Silly me..

Here, some more fruit :)

P4 Prescott 478 is sealed.
Oh right on! I want to find one of the early QX or even just X68xx Core 2’s as well. So many cool things for the man cave LOL.

Dang that Abit board is clean. I’ll have to lookup some info on it.

Awesome parts! Keep up the good work LOL

I love the XFX Stuff when they still ran with Nvidia. Such cool box designs. My biggest regret is trading off my XFX 7950 GX2, mint box and all. SO sad LOL. I’m sure its worth a decent amount to a collect these days. The biggest bummer is that I can’t find any pictures even! Probably on an old Android that I may have in storage…

I removed the IDE harddrive as I don't want to to become dead, one of the clicks, idk if this are the one of Deathstar or not.

Speaking of X800, here is the X800GTO but from GeCube, it was labelled GTO3 interestingly

IMG20230916181057.jpg

Wish this X800XT still alive though but it isn't, doesn't matter still looks good :D

IMG20230916180826.jpg

Immediately installed NOLF and played a bit, I noticed the display looks better than in Radeon 9100, text in-game aren't garbled and misaligned and looks sharp; same monitor, same cable, same resolution, color depth, settings, even driver version, on VGA, is newer Radeon got better RAMDAC? Or is the Radeon 9100 RAMDAC is broken or something?

Nice hardware! I have the LGA775 P4EE 3.4 GHz 1066 FSB version. But no box or cooler, just the CPU.

That X850 Pro is the VIVO model which might unlock into the full X850 XT. :) (now that I think about it, you probably already know that)

Yes correct. Used to flash them back in the day. Can tell by the yellow CD-Audio connector.

I'm happy to leave it original mate as I have a couple of X850 XTPE's around and one beautiful example in its original box which will post here anther day :)

Most x800's could be flashed to a better version, and even unlocking 4 more shaders or pipelines. Had a X800pro as well flashed to XT with all extra's unlocked. Few hundred points back in the days of free performance.

Shame that the 6600GT is artefacting. Everything else works tho, and I can prously say the ASUS 7850 I have now has a Sapphire sibling of the same 2GB GDDR5 flavour.

The Xbox mobo is also from a OGXbox I bought today. Before pics show the bulged caps and awful chip wiring, with the after photos showing 5x Rubycon caps and a fixed Aladdin XT chip.

He says it is a gamming PC.£20 not sure i really want another PC.Any one got any ideas what the case is?He calls it a LG Gamming PC.I was unaware LG made Pc,so_OOf course i would be taking a chance as he does not know if it is working or not.The case looks in good shape.

That’s a gaming pc
I’m not sure about the specs as kids played it long time ago
No cables etc just parts and repair if it works a bonus at this price.
Is it. worth taking a chance at this price?I would have thought it would have been easy enough for him to test ito_OIt can,t be that old with all those red ports which i looked up are 3,2 ones.or If he just knows it want work.It can,t be much of a GPU taking only one slot.o_OThe case looks old.

I just bought this the other day, i wanted to test my three IDE cards one of them said removable drive with nothing on it so that was a dead card:( Only one seems to work one keeps on going off but i managed to get it to stay on line to get the crystal disk test work..so good on the end.:)
IDE is a pain to confect:(

He says LG likely because that's what the optical drive says. The case looks like a modded Aerocool ExtremEngine 3T.
