Did Windows start saying "PAGE_FAULT_IN_NON_PAGED_AREA"? IIRC, that's a classic one for losing RAM stability. (Whether it's the RAM, the RAM subsystem or of course one of the RAM slots)
Exactly that bsod error. But after that, I can't boot properly anymore, boot throwing missing boot files error requiring windows repair etc. Then i tested only 1 ram stick at a time, and the other one is the one constantly getting boot error and fails memtest while the other is good, passes memtest and boots up properly.
Got new sets of ram sticks and is all ok now.

Yeah, that screams something RAM-related. Those are classic RAM instability symptoms. Even though I got "MEMORY_MANAGEMENT" for RAM that appeared to have degraded in just one year! Back in late-May. Unless the IMC is a dud! With the same Ryzen 7 CPU model that your sig has at the time of this post.

I wonder if it has something to do with my tiny voltage increase? I tried running it on 3733 to 3800mhz from 3600 (1867 to 1900mhz ifclock) with it because it fails to post, boot and be stable if i don't slightly up the voltage.

When it went unstable back on May 18th, I had it at 1:1.
I dont really know anything other than my B-Die.. I have no real experience with DDR4 other than what I am running right now.. I know I can run 4 sticks at 1600 1:1 with ~.95v on all three of my Zen 3 parts.

Throw those sticks out and get some B-Die :D

I kid..

How could I tell that I'm ordering ones with B-die?

The timings should be flat, ie 14-14-14, or 16-16-16.

I was given an older set of B-Die that have numbers like today, 4000 18-something something, but they run 3800 16-16-16 no problem at 1.45v. I havent really messed with them too much since it is my sons system.

Edit:

His board is the Strix B550-F, the original one :)

What a trooper :)

I think my SR Viper Steels are dying again. Had to come back down to 3800CL16 about a week ago. I just end up progressively nuking Windows if I stay up there at 4400.

Thinking of swapping in my Ballistix Rev.E again, but I just don't think I give enough of a shit. I already RMA'd the Patriots once.

DR Tridents still running like a charm, but then again, it's never been run daily past 3800 or 1.55V. Viper Steels been running at 1.6V for a while now, always being punished by the iGPU.

I am running my G.Skills at 1.6v right now, though its not the first time. They seem to be ok with it, and temps are not all that different..

Maybe I shouldnt run 1.6v :D

There's probably not much in this world that is as brutal as iGPU, so you're probably fine. The Strix-I is also apparently a pretty bad board for mem OC, maybe it's not even the Patriot kit. Maybe I will have to rework procODT or something because the board is so useless it can't work it out on its own

The one thing that I love about running an X3D..

Is how quiet my system is. Such a treat.

My fans are barely doing anything over idle and it is glorious.

I hope mine is good! I have the ROG Strix B550-F Gaming, which came with BIOS version 2006, which is from 2021, IIRC. Seemed to be even better after flashing it to the latest one as of early-September.

It's not even powered on right now and I have it in the Fractal Focus G case and configured the BIOS with my Zotac GeForce GTX 1660 Super. ;) I would have went all into it, if I didn't have a lot of important stuff on the one that's in the sig, at the time of this post.

What symptoms? Is CBS reporting random files being corrupted and/or Windows starts logging file corruption reports for random files? The Bluetooth file issue is a known issue with 22H2. It's if other files are affected.

Geez, 1.6v? I thought me seeing 1.4v on my old ram was pretty high (i suspect this killed one of my ram sticks)

One day, ill have an X3D as well, prices are dropping on my region but ill still wait a bit :)

I would have to go back to stock to test that. I don't see the point.
I'm just thinking there might be something with your cooling, just like my Silent Loop 2 280 mm wasn't good for the X3D. It worked with every other CPU I've had, but the X3D ran at 4400-4500 MHz max under it at max temps. The Dark Rock 4 works so much better! It lets it run at max boost, 4800 MHz all-core while maxing out at 82-ish °C.

My conclusion is that the X3D hates water (or there's something with the coldplate design).

I don't mean to rain on your parade or anything, but pretty much all Hynix M or A die can do that well...
Not all of it is good for tight timings though, high frequency, sure, I don't have much to come with there, but considering my CPU, why would I bother with that?

78X3D is pretty spunky compared to 58X3D.. pretty nice!

Not a bad AM4 system though.
I'm hoping this system is going to last me at least three years now.
