Nvidia sponsored games are neutral in terms of performance. AMD is just not good on RT and it plummets because the game uses a lot of effects.
Total bs, off topic nonesense.

Any chance you stop spouting off topic horse shit.

Cp2077 is the game made WITH Nvidia and uses all of its best features.

So of course it runs better.

Interesting it's like the only game Nvidia fanbois play apparently.

Fu## the high end market btw, you epean crew are not what pc gaming or gaming is about

You'll see soon enough ;)
The funny thing is the same thing was said around when the 2080TI launched. I am glad they were wrong. If you don't think that Sony and Microsoft are not working with AMD on their next Gen GPU you would also be wrong. Microsoft is buying as many Game houses as it can and that can only be good for AMD. As much as Nvidia likes to fog the space with accoutrements it has been true for the last 2 generations that the only place Nvidia beats AMD is indeed the highend. Of course they went to AMD's own supplier to jump them but I digress. The fact that the biggest thing for me in Gaming is actually AMD's newest APUs on Desktop has nothing to do with Ray Tracing. Indeed my argument still holds a Game that would benefit from RT appreciation would TWWH but performance is more important than extra math to make it shine better.

While we focus on the DIY space there are still plenty of people buying PS5s and Xbox1s. The price and availability have stabilized and there are some killer Games launching around Xmas that will influence sales. In the meantime the 7800XT has been a success no matter how many people cry about it. You can thank Nvidia for that too because the 4060TI 16GB proved that if the GPU is not fast enough, the VRAM buffer does not matter.

Now I am here happier than a pig in s%^$^% with my PC and have been really getting into my library. I have been playing the heck out of Forza 7 but lament the 72 FPS lock. I finished Exoprimal so I have been getting 158 FPS average at 4K in Aliens Fire Team Elite. OF course all of that is supported by Wood Elves all Legendary Lords Immortal Empires Campaign in TWWH3 and Dune Spice Wars is better in some ways than Starship Troopers but not as fun. Funny thing is when I play CP 2077 I am stuck on that Mission where you have to sneak into the warehouse but always end up getting dealt by the robot. The fact that the Game is butter smooth and already beautiful is real. I will always say though that Ascent has a more detailed CP setting in it's World.

They all run great on amd in raster. When you turn all the rt effects of course it comes crashing down cause they lack the hardware. That's why you don't see lots of rt effects in amd sponsored games. So they can run decently on their hardware.

You're unrepresentative self thinks so, perhaps you believe it.

Perhaps you think it matters anyway.

How many games can I play with pathraced world's if I go and buy a 4090, I already have over 600 raster game's but what do I gain.

Let's clear that up.

What? You were talking about the games, how is that relevant to those useless features you just linked?

How does any of that matter? I just said nvidia titles are far more neutral in terms of performance on non nvidia gpus.

Plenty of games you can play on an nvidia that you can't on an amd, but that's irrelevant. Just because you don't care about rt doesn't mean amd doesn't suck at doing it.

AMDs focus is money and there's little money in the PC gaming market for AMD. Look at Steam Hardware Survey, barely any higher end AMD GPUs listed.
AMD wants some of that sweet AI money that Nvidia gets. Nvidia makes billions upon billions of dollars on AI, Enterprise and Gaming. Nvidia pretty much owns all those markets.

Consoles, sure, but MS/Sony is the true winners here, not AMD. Nvidia have Nintendo anyway. Switch sold like crazy (easily beating PS5 and XSX) and Switch 2 will get Nvidia RTX + DLSS as well. I bet Nvidia makes more per chip than AMD does per PS/XB chip. Because Nvidia would not bother otherwise.

AMD will always be the small player. A player that relies 100% on TSMC. Nvidia used Samsung for 3000 series and still beat AMD while using an inferior process.

I don't hate AMD. I have several AMD CPUs and APUs in my house but CPUs is AMDs prime focus. Not GPUs. They are losing more and more marketshare here. They have inferior features, lacking RT perf and only focus on rasterization. Could not care less till they improve their features.

Their MCM approach even failed for GPUs. Nvidia wins on performance per power while using monolithic which is just sad. Lets hope AMDs MCM GPUs are getting better over time...

Nonesense that's just not true.
I can play Cp2077 just fine with RT ON at decent IQ settings etc etc that's not the point, You can game with settings you think look prettier and most would agree are higher on this one Nvidia sponsored Game, I am fine with that, not fine with many downplaying the cooperation Nvidia provided though.
There are few to no games you can play , I can't, none , I have Nvidia,
Nvidia titles are not neutral, they definitely make Nvidia fans suffer more bugs and effects issues so no not neutral.

@W1zzard when comparing performance on this game what did you think of the effects going missing with some versions of dlss , did you notice many glitches.

You realize if you enable RT or PT your card is slower than a 3080 and a 3060 respectively, right? Sure you can play I guess, but if you are getting single digits whats the point? Just disable RT and enjoy the game

It's one game, you realise it's taken the developer and Nvidia two years to finish the game and it's still buggy.
As a sponsor title it's a disgrace.

You enjoy the one game MADE for your GPU pal but know, , that again your talking out your ass, I can play this and every game with RT with RT on ,IF I want.

Largely, Not worth the power use.
As was this game for me IMHO.

Game is great, have no clue what you are talking about. All games have bugs, lol.

I'm enjoying all games made with great rt effects that amd can't play sadly. If they could I would have bought an amd gpu.

AMD gpus are one, at least, gen behind nVidia in RT. Next gen gpus may be able to match the current nVidia’s performance numbers.

Alan Wake 2 is coming soon and I foresee an another bloodbath.
But it would be great if Remedy could offer two versions of the game, one that requires hardware rt acceleration and one that the RT is software calculated, like in Quantum Break.

Radeons huge raw power would be very beneficial in the second case.

Anyway, nVidia sponsored titles are RT heavy while AMD ones have ridiculous requirements of vram and no or very basic and low res RT.

I started playing it yesterday.
I don't know why but the graphics seem to be a tad better than Alan Wake's.
Most likely it's because my monitor is sXXty but even on bright areas, the lighting feels more natural in CP.
