And there was still a free upgrade path back to basically XP or Vista, for doubt that s is truly going to cut off free upgrades.

anyone else having issues with the display sleep setting?

when i set it to 1 Minute it shuts the monitors off after around 35 seconds.
at 5 minutes it shuts off at ~90 seconds.
at 10 minutes it's around 3 Minutes.
and the best... only my main monitor wakes up. the other needs a full power cycle (only since the last update that added the new "landing page" filled with ads in the settings.

(my monitor never sleeps when my PC is on)

Which proves they actually care nothing about real security. Turning off "Memory Integrity" isn't going to effect much but for online games it can present a security hazard if someone decides they don't like you. It also proves that microsoft knows that having Virtual Machine support enabled and running services in the background does indeed use up resources.

Yes in that it isn't really excellent from a security perspective at all. It's not WORSE than what we had before but it's benefits are extremely situational and not all-encompassing.

No, in that I don't believe MS is aware of that, nor is the situational approach really inherently invalid.

Nothing, unless your drives encrypted in which case it wont boot til you re-enable TPM and secureboot.
Same as if you deleted/changed the TPM key in the BIOS (which these days you restore from the CPU, so you dont lose anything without a CPU swap)

Core isolation is off by default on AM4/AM5 systems anyway, since it's only enabled if you enable virtualisation in the BIOS.

I'm unsure of the default on intel systems, pretty sure it's to fix their security flaws with virtual machines and hyperthreading anyway

i even reinstalled windows and tried Windows 10 on a different machine.
same issue... just on W11.
time to go permanently back to W10. i am done with this shit and the tons of bugs.
TPM is still broken on Ryzen and the defender phishing protection turns itself off after every reboot and is for some reason now in english. :confused:

I'd also like to know why when I go idle in Windows 11, when I return its like a 10-15 second delay before I am allowed to click on icons on my desktop, the taskbar icons still work instantly.

Makes no fucking sense, it annoys shit out of me.

I was getting that problem. Trying win 10 again for a while. i have partitioned my win drive, so have the option of running win 10 and 11 dual, without having to lose win 10 now.
