I ought to get something like that, a nightstand-like table.
I don't want my tower sitting at the the floor, but not at table height either.
I suppose the ideal would be that the top of tower reaches table height, like a pseudo extension of the table.
My pc, which never turned off because I use it for seeding, has finally accumulated dust can be blasted off with electric duster. There isn't enough dust for it to clump in to actual dust bunnies though.
As a part of my annual partial lazy air dusting teardown I bought some upgrades from Prime Day and some discounts from local stores because of Prime Day because ssds and ram are cheap as hell right now.
List of upgrades are:
- 970 Evo Plus 2tb [$130 Maple bucks] (Need to replace my WD Sata ssd, browsing my music collection takes forever to load)
- Crucial P3 Plus 4tb [$250 Maple bucks] (Wanted a dedicated game drive, I already have another 4tb ssd but I didn't want to share space with games)
- 96gb of DDR4 3600 CL18 ram [$190 Maple bucks] (Had 16x2 modules already, I figured might as well max it out since DDR4 has reached it peak and I intend to stay on this platform for another 3-4 years)
- "Canada Computer" Brand cable extensions [$65 Maple bucks] (An aesthetic upgrade, god knows why I waited this long to get cable extensions, the EVGA G3 850 doesn't exactly come with nice cables)
Cable management was hard enough given that this psu comes with a lot of cables and that I'm running 3 Sata drives. Part of the reason why I wanted to large on my ssd storage - so that all my storage is mobo mounted.
You'd think that a large (it's considered large, right?) case like the Meshify 2 would have enough cable management room - well it does still for this case - to comfortably hold all cables you'd see on a high wattage psu meant for the SLI/Crossfire days.
Worth the effort however, came out looking nice.
If you look at the close up of the pictures of the ram, you'll see that the new 32x2 modules (the one closest to the cpu cooler) are slightly cooler in color. Not gonna bother returning/exchanging it for that "defect"; not worth the time and effort to do so.
