The problem isn't enhancer by itself but its integrated adblock, if you disable 'block ads' inside enhancer you can still use it.
As the adblock detection of youtube got updated and it does detect the enhancer's adblock.
Ublock Origin seems fine so you can still use enhancer with it to avoid ads.

If they do manage to force ads on youtube (and twitch for that matter) then ill just stop using their services, there are many alternatives out there that will only grow when that happens.

I might give it a try, I just need to have my stuff saved properly not like Firefox (at least used to, not sure now) loses your data if you forget your password, or in my FF forgot my password.

I haven't seen an advert on YouTube for many years. "Adblock Plus" to the rescue (not to be confused with "Adblock"), available for all popular browsers. You can disable it on individual webpages or whole websites for the occasional one that has an issue.

And it does not block adverts that do not move, such as those on TechPowerUp.

Firefox with ublock works just like it always did. Just need to add these lines in the filter script:

youtube.com##+js(set, yt.config_.openPopupConfig.supportedPopups.adBlockMessageViewModel, false)
youtube.com##+js(set, Object.prototype.adBlocksFound, 0)
youtube.com##+js(set, ytplayer.config.args.raw_player_response.adPlacements, [])

i currently have firefox privacy and adblock ultimate extension along with malwarebytes extension and i have no issues .... crazy it doesnt work for you ...im like what ads lol

I am using AdGuard for Windows and am not having any issues now. I started getting the anti-adblock banner last night for the first time, but it seems it was getting through because incompatible "Block Ads" was enabled in Enhancer for Youtube. Once I unchecked that, Adguard was blocking as expected. (I am using the standalone Adguard app, not the browser extension.)

I to use FF with uBlock Origin, NoScript. I really never have seen any warning's whatsoever. I can look any youtube video, without any ADD's or warnings, as much as i want.
BLOCK Googletagmanager in NoScript.

I even do not need those lines in the filter, i look freely without any interruptions, as long as i want.

Yeah... isn't this really what will happen. I don't understand Google. All I see is greed. They're making a sufficient sum of money from their dominant position. Premium is about 5x too expensive for what it is. And the ads they shove into videos now are obnoxious in number and length. This battle has been ongoing for years, the userbase always wins. Services are replaceable. If this is what they 'need' to do to 'survive'... that's them implicitly saying they can't keep their business afloat. Fine, gtfo then!

Not the case in Netherlands on FF with ublock Origin. I think noscript is the key difference there. Might try that out.

In the Netherlands warnings? Really i have never seen this warning's on my screen before. I just look to anything i want, even in Linux Mint no warnings, there i also use FF with NoScript and uBlock Origin.

I also use Privacy Badger in FF and I still don't care about cookies.

Men looking to youtube video's on APP's built in some device like TV, that's HELL! 4 commercial before you can start look, and after 5 minutes again 2 commercial blocks. I come crazy! I just start and stop over and over until they are away, i hate those add's like hell. I will never look to them, i don't care.

Now i beginning to think that NoScript maybe blocks some script's google use.

Too bad i can't install any blocker's there, but i look to my PC then. Whenever i have commercial i stop video and start again until the block is away, then i look further.

It doesn't stop by f5 rerfesh alone. very persistent, just click on another video to the right and press back and voila no ad.

Not to turn this into a political issue, but, to paraphrase Churchill, Capitalism is the worst form of government, except for all the others.

Sadly, one of the downsides of capitalism is the belief that if a company isn't steadily growing, it is failing. This is especially true for publicly owned companies - such as Google. Google's shareowners expect and demand "growth". If they don't get it, they will sell (pull their investment money out) and move elsewhere. Then if the investor pull out, Google cannot build new datacenters or even keep their current workforce and datacenters busy.

In other words, Google has little choice. They must keep looking for new avenues of revenue or be perceived as failing.

So we can blame Google, but frankly, it is just a fact of life. I refer back to cable TV. We pay outrageous (IMO) sums every month, and still have to put up with commercials. The typically hour long TV show is really about 45-47 minutes without commercials. So about ~25% is taken up by adds. So why don't I get 25% of my monthly bill back?

That will never happen. Couldn't any way because another 25% or more of my bill is eaten up in taxes and fees and other mystical charges.

But that's another discussion.

In the beginning, several times in the movie, at the end...
Sometimes i have the feeling i look to more adds then a movie. Well not with me, i switch to other channel or just stop watching and go to my stream online.

New to YouTube, maybe - but definitely not new. Many many programs and sites have been providing those options for years. It probably goes way back to the differences between freeware, shareware and paid software.
