Seems to be the same bios version as the one from my ES card, but with a more normal device ID (0B36 vs my weird 6B76). I bet that one might be more stable than mine though, I noticed mine has some graphical issues in certain games that I can only assume is due to being unfinished.

Looks like a custom job. Someone got some round AMD stickers, mounted the heatsink and placed the stickers on the fan hubs when done.

I might sell my boss on 4 W7500 cards soon. If that happens I'll let you know how bad it is. Maybe W7600, he likes to save money, probably worth doing but idk yet. Depends on how hard of a sell this is.

They're not that bad unless going 100%, even then it's doable unless noise REALLY bothers you. They are no worse than the single slot designs of the late 2000's with the Geforce and Radeon from that time.

Launch day fat ps3 that can be heard 2 rooms away doesnt bug me despite being ~2 feet from my head. Mind you this one is particularly loud as it has the higher fan blade count compared to later fat models. All this while my other 3 machines are audible.
Noise doesn't bug me very much but maybe it's because I am more concerned with my ceiling fan and whatever in god's name it does to produce that horrible sound every few days (old house, old fan).

I can imagine enough of these single slot blower cards would cause annoyance though, especially for someone like my boss who is generally not used to even a 2080 fan spinning up.

Derailing aside I have something neat showing up tomorrow for this thread assuming it's on time. Edit, it is not on time, sad.

Hey everyone!
I just made an account here just because I had the urgent purpose of finding out about a GPU that I just saw here on Facebook Marketplace from Chile.

It claims to be an AMD RX 6500 (not XT), very similar to the RX 6300 that was seen in China and eBay. But this one doesn't appear anywhere, and I can't find any information.

Does anyone have any idea about this? The seller is asking around 75 USD.

I managed to get it after all. I negotiated a bit, ended up paying 50.000 CLP (about 54 USD).

As @Fouquin replyed, the seller told me he got it from a Dell Optiplex with a 13th Gen Intel Core i7.

This little thing is much more than it looks. It totally looks like a rebranded OEM RX 6400, but it's actually a cut-down RX 6500 XT. It has 10% to 15% better performance than the retail RX 6400, but runs relatively a bit hotter.

The problem now for me is getting a full size bracket that works for it.

Arrived 1 day over estimate but that's fine by me

A WX 8100. What I find particularly interesting is it only uses 1 8pin PCIe power connector, rather than a 6+8, so that's unusual for sure. Has an I/O plate that is made for 6 mDP ports, though it only has 4. Windows and AMD's software report it as a WX 8200, so that's interesting as well. Overall its the most functional recent card I've gotten my hands on and I'll be honest I expected it to be a troublesome card like the others.

Baked one of those to working order, back in '13. Green PCB, though, but still ASUS and same vRAM config.
Still remember holding the (hefty) cooler and at the time thinking how awesome it was regarding design and efficiency, but also at trapping dust. So a regular clean was a must.
The sample I had to bake had the "RoHS" issue, aggravated by the small carpet sample at the heatsink's intake.

This isn't anything too special but I'm not sure I ever shared this one. GeForce 7800 GTX 256MB Engineering Sample sent to Dell for qualification/testing. Card originally had a very early 5.70.02.03.06 VBIOS but it was flashed to the NVIDIA reference firmware version 5.70.02.11.15 at some point before they were done with it. Runs normal clocks, performs like a normal 7800 GTX. What is maybe slightly unique is the dual slot cooler being present which Dell had first dibs on for their machines while the retail box version of the 7800 GTX 256MB had the single slot cooler. The cooler mounted to this sample predates Dell getting their logo on the cards. NVIDIA went on to use this cooler on the G70 Quadro cards initially, and then on the very short lived 7800 GTX 512MB (or "7800 Ultra" as it was jokingly referred to). It's an exceptionally forward thinking design for a card that only draws a bit over 80W, and it works extremely well to keep the GPU below 70C without ever spinning the fan fast enough to be audible (>50%).

I wanted to get an aftermarket cooler for it, but the mounting holes were in a unique rectangular arrangement that no other card had, not to mention the PCI-e to AGP translator chip that also needed cooling. They have appreciated in price recently due to scarcity caused by that thermal problem you recalled; the cards suffer from torching themselves as well as the RoHS solder issues. Many people have discovered that their cards have failed with age at a higher rate than any other GPU of the era.

That's weird considering that ATi came out with the HD 3650 on AGP a few years later.

I might still have that 7800 GS somewhere in my parents' attic, I'll have to look the next time I visit... if it still works, I don't know.

The 3650 and 4650 both kill it.
7950 GT does too.
I have all of those.
