Feels ok haha, not as good as my Zoom 65’s, it came with a carbon fibre plate which felt stiff so I removed it, I much prefer the polycarbonate plate which ive ordered, they sound more deeper and poppier.. lesson learned lol

A friend needed an upgrade for her music creation system. She's currently running a SandyBridgeEP based 8core 2ghz E5-2650 Xeon.

I thought for an upgrade, she could use one of the following;

There is a slight question as to whether or not her system can take an IvyBridge based V2 series Xeon, so I got her both the 2690 V1 & V2. If the V2 doesn't work she'll at least have the V1. The 2690 V1 is a 2.9ghz 8core with a boost to 3.8ghz. The 2690 V2 is a 3ghz 10core with a boost of 3.6ghz

Either way, she'll have a very solid upgrade!

No idea if it counts as a tech purchase, but what the hell. Just received my new mousepad, a XRaypad Equate Plus V2. Heard lots of good things about it overall, good speed and control, but more importantly, apparently really durable and doesn’t stain easily, which is my main gripe with a lot of pads which absorb all the skin cells where my arm is. Annoying to clean and not always comes out right. Didn’t unpack mine yet, but I got one in blue.

Comes in different ones, I got the 450x400mm one. So standard large one. They also come in square 500x500 and medium-ish 360x300. Color options are black, blue, red and pink, all with this kanji-esque design.

About the same size as my Strix mousepad, a good size for me as I use my mouse at 800dpi with no acceleration

Yeah, I use 1600 (or 1800 now cause OG Viper has that instead of 1600 for some reason and I refuse to use Synapse) since I find 800 a bit too slow for my liking on the desktop. In games it doesn’t really matter since you can just adjust the sensitivity as you like to fit the DPI. So yeah, I prefer fairly fast pads with medium sensitivity overall in games (around 30cm/360 in shooters). Would like to try a glass pad someday maybe, but can’t justify paying 100-150 bucks for one.

I have a MX 518 remake as mouse, feels smooth even with default settings and the cursor isn't too fast if I play a shooter where I need to use a sniper rifle

What an eventful 30 days of magic... everyone is happy!

Wife got a air fryer and coffee maker - massive upgrades from the crappy ones we had running before.

Kids got a tablet upgrade (just for videos/education apps - no games). Punished them with a ugly fat case... the previous tab got a battering and had me replacing the screen twice, wasn't gonna make that a third time.

and i got a measly set of G9's, funny enough for a ceiling light in a room i hardly step a foot in. Yep for the Mrs and kids.

A brand old Tokina AT-X 124 AF PRO DX, (read : a 12-24 f/4 for DX camera) 2nd hand from 2004.
(was replaced in 2009 by a .II version with built in AF for Nikon. This one relies on DSLR AF motor)
Who said photography is expensive ? 90 € for this one, superb condition, working flawlessly !
The massive shifting to mirrorless camera tends to lower the price of "classic" dlsr hardware.

I'm also hoping to re-add a 35mm to my kit soon, but super jealous at the deals y'all can get on DX lenses lol...........I've picked up some good deals but DX kit is just more affordable

If all goes well and I can sell my 50/1.8G, then there will only be one item in my 1510 that was bought new (the D610 that started it all). The rest are exclusively eBay finds, it's a great way to go! Crap is too expensive these days

Verizon are not very nice people or accurate at billing either so cut my losses and kicked it.
5g is pretty good but I'll have to go a different company to get both again.

Good thing is the new otter iphone protective case fits my se 2nd gen

Razer makes great peripherals so top choices there, but if I were you I'd return the headset, bad history there and mediocre sound quality.

Grab something like the Audeze Maxwell.

Verizon phone bills are madness, if you just use them for internet only though it's the same bill every month.

Personally don't think 5G is anything great (at least on ATT for me), it's actually slower than LTE most times.
It also drained battery faster too, both on my S21 and Pixel 7.

5g I was hitting 150mbps and 4g if I'm lucky might get 50mbps but often well under.
AT&T is the devil hehe
