Ran at the RT Ultra preset at 1080p. Actually ran somewhere between the Steam Deck preset and RT Ultra.

RX 6800 XT (2150MHz, 240W power limit)

cp2077-6800xt-rtu.png

Arc A380 (45W low-profile, ReBAR disabled)

cp2077-a380-rtu.png

I think upscaling was helping too much. Or there's something screwy with these results; they seem too good.

I'm surprised at how well the A380 has been doing in my Haswell system without ReBAR.

They really do. My GPU, 6700 XT, should be about 65% perfromance of 6800 XT, not freaking 29%.

1080p with upscaling looks so atrocious I just instantly swapped back to 4K with no RT no second thought.

Here we go; these numbers seem more realistic.

I wonder if the game just sucks at changing graphics presets. I had run the benchmark at the Steam Deck preset on both systems before doing it at what I thought was RT Ultra.

Also did my laptop (2022 Zephyrus G14) for good measure. Had it plugged into the 240W charger and running in "turbo" mode on G-Helper (about 120W for both CPU and GPU).

What was the 6800 XT's sustained core clock during these tests btw?

I limit it to 2150MHz, so probably like 2120 to 2140. I'd have to rerun it to check.

I'm more concerned with silence than performance.

Each to their own, yeah. I don't mind my PC having a heavy metal concert under full load, all I care for is its speed and reliability. Fans are made to blow. Headphones are made to make me hear the game. GPUs are made to get me stupid high FPS.

So it's ~1.25x the performance of 2.7 GHz 6700 XT if we have a 2.1 GHz 6800 XT. Not bad.

Someone notice cpu and gpu drop usage with RT on ultra and overdive? Without Rt my processor can put around 144fps and with RT on ultra this drop to 78fps, even on overdrive I cant use 100% the gpu and on ultra some parts hits 60% gpu usage.

Franz, do the benchmark again and hit printscreen. Then hit control V in a new reply so we can see a screenshot. But i have that issue as well. But i am certainly cpu bound. My cpu hits up to 90% or a quick peak of 92%. So it may be the same for you. Your memory timing maybe needs some tweaking or at incorrect speeds possibly? Game likes fast ram or so i hear. And like me i'm sure you're cpu bound as well.

Sam, nice results with that e3 1270v3. Surprising a 10yo system with arc380 can even do ray trace ultra. But i'll go even older with mine. Wish we had Rebar. Would have helped you a lot and me only a tiny bit if that.

13 year old cpu/mobo/ddr3+RTX4080 2560x1440 Ray Tracing Ultra Preset and ofc it's using Frame Generation.
1704491434481.jpeg

Sam, i tried to reproduce the Steam Deck then going to Ray Trace Ultra presets and couldn't get it to bug out like yours. This is my Steam Deck results. Is it actually saving your settings? There is a bug with 2.1 that won't save any settings be it graphic or whatever. The problem is key bindings were changed. You have to assign all the unassigned keys or no settings get saved. Sounds like this is what's happening with yours. All my keys are bound so i don't have this issue so graphic settings do apply. +Frame Generation
1704498592893.png

And my 4K Ray Tracing Ultra results. +Frame Generation
1704501052171.jpeg

So here's a 2560x1440 Ray Tracing Ultra without Frame Generation. Cpu just can't quite handle it. But hey 13 year old cpu here. I think that's pretty good.

How many frames you get on cpu bound settings with 5800x? (medium or low)

In these run, the gpu was used 100% all time?

Franz, do the benchmark again and hit printscreen.

I messed up with prints. how many frams you get on ultra no rt?

With my 12400F being capable of 150 AVG 100 MIN I think it's about 160 AVG 110 MIN for this 5800X. Perhaps a dozen percent better, who knows.

Low settings 720p.

cp2077-6800xt-cpu-bound.png

In this run, GPU usage was around 80%, clocks were around 1900MHz, and power usage was around 100w.

cp2077-a380-low-720.png

A380 is still GPU bound at 720p low.

RT Overdrive 1080p, FSR Auto.

cp2077-6800xt-rto.png

Clocks were around 2120MHz to 2140MHz, and power usage was around 160W. GPU usage was around 99%.

cp2077-a380-rto.png

A380 didn't enjoy it. Still kind of amazing that a $99 45W low-profile GPU can do "real-time" path tracing.

And this is also Ultra But i disabled frame gen so NO Frame Generation. All 3 benches are back to back.

I actually dislike the way the game looks native and prefer DLSS/Framegen but that is probably mostly due to the framerate.... The DLSS implementation in this game is a B- at best but other than UE4/5 hate TAA in pretty much every other game.

Quick screen grab during the benchmark of the non PT mode.

:rockout: -- That 2600k is kicking some serious butt. :respect:
Yes it is and always has been. Sandybridge is the best cpu/mobo/ddr combo ever imo. And fyi Disabling HPET gets me 33% increase in fps alone. I been using HPET=Disabled for over a decade. Turned it back on to test cp2077 and couldn't believe the difference. ofc i had to switch it back to HPET=Disabled right after. The RTX4080 is really saving my butt. Can still play anything and everything with Frame Generation. Only 1 title has given me any issue is Elite Dangerous Odyssey on planets it's horrible as it doesn't have framegen option. Hogwarts is fine and only stutters in the castle here and there. BG3 is fine, witcher3, Starfield all Ray Trace Ultra 60fps+

Here's 35 seconds of frametime graph towards the end of a Ray Trace Ultra+Frame Generation benchmark if memory serves. Frametime graph height 0-100, fps graph height 0-400. Polling rate 101ms with 100 being the lowest setting. Wanted to ensure i didn't miss anything. Tried polling at 399ms and 999ms with same results. Pretty darn smooth usually 1 of 10 benches i'll get 1 30ms stutter that is noticeable or 2 maybe 3 smaller ones that aren't noticeable. It's pretty rare though and probably from something else on the puter doing something to cause it.

2600K is a supreme CPU but why don't you let it retire? A $500 system from either AMD or Intel will give you more than five times the performance outside gaming and more than double in gaming. You got an RTX 4080 which hints at you being a relatively rich person...

I bought a 13600k, ddr5, z790 mobo, new case, water cooling radiators, cpu water cooler, gpu water cooler that was 300 bones, and lot of other stuff about a year ago. I also bought Seasonic Vortex 1,000 watt PSU that has the transient spike fix and an RTX4080 hm 8 months ago. All collecting dust except the psu and gpu. I'm just lazy and haven't finished buying everything. Still need hard tubing and fittings. Most everything else already installed. Frame Generation is bad in that it lets me be lazy even more then usual. By the time i finish the build i may buy another cpu and mobo. lol Hey i'm retired. Being lazy is an every day thing for me.
