I'll throw a shout-out to https://privacy.com which I use often for purchases like this or any site that doesn't accept paypal. You can create 'virtual' credit cards and have certain restrictions like one-time use, immediately expire, etc. The only downside (and perhaps a major one for some, including myself) is you can only link a debit card.

But it comes with a very convenient browser extension and is free for me, and I don't have to worry about purchasing from potentially 'unsafe' sites that need my CC info. All I have to worry about is privacy.com getting hacked instead of 50+ sites that won't report it

Yes, I've bought a bunch. I just use a personal CC, I have one I use just for these type of sites and keep an eye on it. I've never had a issue. And I've never had a key stop working, that i know of.

This is more of a future thing, but Wordpad, Steps Recorder and the People app are going the way of the dodo. The People app I couldn't care about, Steps Recorder I think I've never even seen it aside from the button in the Feedback Hub, and Wordpad is kinda meh personally but I think some people would not like to part with it just yet.

Notepad mostly to get rid of web sludge formatting which wordpad is just garbage collector much like docX are.

I'm starting to cave in my resolve to stick to Windows 10 'til end-of-life. I couldn't install KB5034441 like just so many others and tried this and that only to find out I have a corrupted winRE. So I'm not gonna do anything right now about it. But lo and behold: the KB equivalent for Windows 11 installed without issue on my Windows 11 drive and the partition is now about 750 MB without my having to do anything.

Plus, if I'm honest, it runs sort of fine on here. Not too shabby. Anyone else thinking of letting Windows 10 go early in favor of 11?

I don't know exactly--I'd have to install my 11 drive and look at the history and I don't feel like doing that right now. It's Insiders channel, beta ring so it's in the batch of updates before this most recent one. Here is a snip of my Disk Management, I was able to get this snip from a post I made elsewhere. The Recovery partition is generally about 509 MB, right?

Yeah I'm going to clean install my z490 with gpt/ uefi and restore C from my mbr current install system image and see how it goes instead of using mbr2gpt
Now that I know how to get the RE in front of C now I can save the time of reinstalling and reactivating all my apps hehe

Getting the 23h2 iso with rufus atm still leap frogging all the 11 bs requirements and system imaging z490 again just for another C around made some changes since last.

Nice little project before the freeze there's nothing wrong with my mbr system the updates installed without a hitch since the RE was very large lol

Can't even address the silly comment about how secure pins are it's just to funny but will say all this pin/ password/ security questions/... will eventually be needed so remember them all you can also play this game using verizon

Yes, I have used them for many years, neveranottaproblemo..... for both 10 & 11 keys too !

As for payment, I have a card that I use that is at a completely separate bank than my personal accounts, into which I only deposit funds a few days before I am about to make a purchase, and then only put in about $5-10 over the purchase price. I have been doing this for many, many years without any issues

Is there a way to disable the pin/password? I have a four-letter password on both on my computers. Laptop uses a fingerprint (and the same password too)
