Hi,
Yeah that and ms screwing with either mother board bios or ssd firmware which it's unclear what ms is f'ing with at this point.
I sure don't want ms screwing with either I update those two items as I see fit.

People with oem's are just in a bad place
Hell I can't do a lot in my locked bios and disabling secure boot or tpm the entire security section is locked except adding password big whoop lol

Well at least acer is :cool:

They didn't say so but I added a bios password anyway and boom all settings are unlocked and tpm is doa :pimp:

Secure boot wise we'll see between now and April what the update translates to doing exactly before killing it atm.

When i install Windows i slipstream last cumulative update, but today (it's win10 yes) i see two things :

09/01/2024 Cumulative update .NET Framework 3.5, 4.8 & 4.8.1 for Windows 10 22H2 x64 :
KB5033918 64,7 MB - higher in catalog
KB5034275 134,9 MB - lower in catalog (auto update installed)

So, which of the two should i slipstream ? WAU installed the 134mb 5034275 (on my deskmini) !.. but i habitually only find 65mb of this .net updates.

I just looked into this and can't tell which one is the most applicable. It seems like a good idea to recommend integrating both as there is a chance that one will have data the other does not.

Easy way, but if ever i choosed to slipstream in march instead, so there certainly would be only 65mb versions available, and i'd never knew there was others different/bigger updates, crappy Catalog.

Testing complete on a first try for a custom ISO, didn't work. I'm going to try a bog-standard ISO next..

EDIT2: Nope, didn't work, all the junk is still present. TheoJoe has either failed to disclose the exact method for invoking such an effect, or he's full of crap. My vote is the latter, but I'm keeping an open mind.

Microsoft in a new Update changelog:
- This update addresses an issue that affects Trusted Platform Modules. On certain devices, they did not initialize correctly. Because of this, TPM-based scenarios stopped working.

Me:
Oh, great, they probably also along the way fixed the bug in the Defender that has been there since March 2023 when the UI bugs out and pretends the TPM module is off even though it's working and tpm.msc reports that all is fine.

It's hilarious. Dismissing it does actually nothing (the button is broken) and if I reload the Defender (just close and open the window again, nothing drastic) it suddenly comes to its senses and works properly.

Then I can open this in, like, an hour, and it will be borked again. It doesn't affect anything functionally actually, but the fact that it will be soon a year since they messed this up and it persisted through the 23H2 update is funny to me.

Hi,
Lots of regions have different privacy policies
If a country can't get a app maybe ask your gov officials why there is no amazon/... app support there and or you could ask amazon via chat and that might cut through some gov red tape but doubt a normal support agent can say.

*Oh for whatever reason (Yes I watched a Video before installing but) He had to Disable Defender or whatever AV you have BC of the Modified Files it Does but it's totally OK

I Don't know How Build updates will Effect

I've turned off TPM and never looked back

Rufus has a simple tick box to remove that requirement when making a USB stick with that program.
