Galaxy S24 256 GB (unlocked) - should deliver tomorrow.

My Pixel 7 has been crash/boot-looping again + massive battery drain (that one's new).
I've factory reset it like 3 times already and have had enough, just trading it in to Best Buy.

Thankfully got a few gift cards over holidays, so that will keep it around $600.

Oh yeah. They went all the way up to 1.92 TB IIRC. VERY pricey though..

This is so disappointing... IDK if it's a Phanteks QC or an Amazon.de repackaging broken&returned goods issue, but it's so unfair to receive this for such a premium price. 3rd fan from the top, and voila, it has a cracked blade! 3rd photo show how deformed the blade is, the larger ring gap, etc. No crack on the other side, and the fan works well, but for how long? The intended purpose of this fan is reaching those 3000RPM regularly.
If this fan was on the top and something hit it, it would be understandable. But as nothing can force it to do this (snap) after packaging in a lowest slot, it's a damn QC fail.
They package them like this:

And the fan in question is to the left, its broken blade visible at 8-9 o'clock.

I was seconds away from ordering a 8600G and a A620 board for a combined $409 Canadian. Then I realized that the board does not have BIOS flash back button and I would have to use my 7900X3D to update the BIOS. I have left them in my cart though to see what happens to the price over time.

A little update on this update..
Well it seems the mobo has had a hard life despite being brand new it came with a broken DIMM slot not just he clip broken but the entire end of the slot was ripped off and there are bent pins in the socket aswell and it wasn't until I was ready to put the ram in that I discovered this damage (easy enough to miss it being black on a black mobo)

sorry didn't think to take some more pics before returning the mobo but as you can see from the above pic it wasn't good so now I have to wait for Tuesday to get ahold of PBTech to find out what going to happen but I swear if they try to make out this is my fault I'm seriously going to beat someone close to meeting their maker

1. Just got my Pixel 8 Pro last week...pretty happy with it except for 3 issues..(I love that the camera bar goes all the way across the back, so the phone doesn't wobble when laying on my desk)

A) Battery drains fast.... I've uninstalled/disabled/stopped all unnecessary apps & background process, and optimized the screen settings, which has helped a little, but perhaps a software/firmware update/fix is forthcoming that will fix it..hell my S21+ had a smaller battery & an older cpu, but lasted a good bit longer than this thing does

B) I can't move the damned google assistant bar from the bottom...I want it at the top damn it, but it won't move...
C) If I move or delete an app from the bottom row of apps ("recommended apps") it automatically replaces it with another copy of the same app repeatedly...again hoping to find a fix out there somewhere ?

2. Just got my son the newest G-watch (w/wifi & cellular), and he loves it, especially since he no longer has to take out his phone to answer calls/texts etc.....which was the plan all along

Yep, push pull config with the addition of duct shrouds between the fans and radiator.

Theyre just Phboya 140-120mm fan ducts. I have 140mm ducts too, but went with the smaller fans this time. I think I got em on Amazon. The ducts and push/pull do improve performance, but I use them so I can lower the fan speed over all and get similar performance.
