Benchmark Scores bench...mark? i do leave mark on bench sometime, to remember which one is the most comfortable. :o
semi new budget build, for my sister son in law ... and a bit of extras for me ...

my sister contacted me with an offer she got for a complete build
i7 7700K stock cooler
32gb ram
GTX 970 4gb (heck NO! 3.5+0.5  )
1tb SSD
generic no name 600w PSU
Monitor Keyboard Mouse (all office type )
for 600chf, well not a bad price ... buuuuuttttttt can do better...

so, a little less old, will be recycling my R5 3600 and the 2x8gb Aegis (ordered 2 more stick of the same kit to push it to 32gb ) storage will recycle a TR200 240gb (OS drive) a Gammix S11 1tb (games) and a Barracuda 2tb (pic/docs/whatever, including games that do not mind 7.2k rpm  ) cooling: Enermax Liqmax III, PSU 80+ Gold Seasonic G12 850w, GPU RTX 4060Ti 8gb (would have prefered a 16gb or a RX 7700 XT 12gb but both either : not in stock or priced too high.) and Masterbox Q300L

20240210_111234.jpg20240210_111326.jpg
20240210_111347.jpg20240210_111224.jpg
20240210_111333.jpg

my sister told me he mostly play Beam NG and Starfield, Starfield? eh? well, then a little order of :
Chunks for the PSU window side, Starfield logo (transparent background) for the front (will not hinder the airflow too much )
1707563355653.png1707563458714.png

and for the acrylic side panel (also transparent ) :
1707563436200.png
all that for 830chf, eh... not bad for "only" 230chf more ... my sis laughed when i told her the price was actually 164chf cheaper than the GPU in my rig alone...

ok enough for them, now for me, since i will be donating my Deltaco DK440R and Turtlebeach Recon Cloud (and a few SSD/HDD)... i got myself (outside of the 830chf budget ofc)
Stealth Ultra, well ... another good gamepad from Turtlebeach, 2 more assignable buttons (mapping D-Pad on it for consumable in some game make it perfect) neat carry case (with a pass thru so you could charge it in the case ) dock and receiver, extra thumb grip (eh, did not expect that, and i was about to order some for my Ally :D ) and an Adata Legend 850 1tb
20240210_111905.jpg20240210_112133.jpg20240210_112153.jpg20240210_112200.jpg
20240210_112229.jpg20240210_111718.jpg

then, for the keyboard : Endorfy Thock 75% Wireless Pudding (a wireless pudding? didn't know i needed one till today )
neat one, love the rotary knob for the volume (press to mute is nice also ) pudding (other brand call them Aura or Prismscaps) key (black, black pudding? mmmhhh) and Kailh Box Black switches (hot swappable ) wired/wireless BT/RF2.4ghz
look more blue than white on the picture but it's set on white  (reason i donate the DK440R, the Thock is in German layout  )

I would strongly advise anyone against wasting money on any of the CM Masterbox variants. Unmodded, they are a prime example of a good idea, terrible implementation.

Does a new home with Ethernet wired up to most rooms count? Two ports per room as well, four in the living room.
Switch and router goes here and then I'll have to figure out the best place to put the WiFi, as this metal cabinet is behind two sliding mirror doors, so it can't go in there for sure.
Not moving for another couple of weeks though.

Damn kinda jelly here, even it's too much for my current use, maybe when the better half moves and want a system or something we need this.

Got a 5-port 10 Gbps switch as well, so at least some parts of it will go really fast. Going to need another switch though, since I don't have enough fast ports, but no rush for that and I won't have a dozen wired devices anyhow.

Good range though, as the 18-55 lenses are a bit too wide even at 55.

Zoom? For me that sounds more as a Wide to normal angle. Zoom is above 50mm. Isn't it. Since the digital cameras i'm a bit out.

Getting ready to build this bad boy.

Picked up Bykski 10x 14mm/16 hard tube compression fittings, Bykski bending rubber and 3x 1m 14mm/16mm hardline for now.

Whole lot came to $45 aud. Shitloads cheaper than EK but I'm yet to try it out so hopefully will be all good.

Good luck with your build. I decided myself that my next rig will be custom looped, but that's still some 3 or 4 years away.
If ATX doesn't die till then, I'm looking forward to build it into a Lancool III.

In my youth my father did photograph a lot. And with that i had to learn about his hobby a lot.For me the areas are Macro, Wide, normal zoom and Ultra zoom. ;) But that was when he pohotographed on films with the size of 36x24mm and also 6x6cm.

When it was time for me to buy a camera i only new that i did want to have a full sensor camera with Leica Optics. And that i got with my Panasonic Lumix. Bit i miss a bell there. For signalling that there is a motive to shot around. ;)

Did Phanteks say anything about the broken blade, or that they'll at least want to investigate it?
No, they didn't. I'm quite happy with the conversation so far. I've provided more than enough info, so their response is straight to the point.

And I won a bid for this.....

My older one went to that great e-waste mound in the sky, and I need to get my old data off the 5 hard drives in it.
Is that a 5870/50? I believe that's the last series they called it Ati on the card too. Those blower style coolers were, well, very cool! 5000 series was an amazing generation for AMD. But I waited and bought a gtx460 that generation which was equally amazing. Still you couldnt go wrong in the midrange segment back then. Unlike nowadays sadly...

Looks like a 5770. My flashed 4,1 that died had an RX 560 in it.

I am going to try to get a Kinology RX 580 (16gb) to work on it - for science, of course.

The big thing is that I really don't want to rerip 40 years of CDs & 15 or so years of DVDs & Blu-Rays.

I struck gold today. Got a NIB Asus Tuff OC 4090 for around four hundred dollars less than the current Amazon price, no sales tax (would have been around $200 more), a legit sales receipt and it was even delivered to me.

Grabbed an old Celeron NUC on eBay. It's now running Pi-Hole and SenseThing, my work-in-progress Linux sensor monitoring tool. Not sure what else I should do with it, but it seems very happy living under my couch, chugging away on DNS requests.

Nice choice, wish they where available in my country and ordering it from Germany or another country wouldn't be a good deal either since the KC3000 is only £126 while the P41 is £174.

Breaking the rules a little :( No purchases just some spare parts put together to solve the greatest crime against humanity: dust/debris (+have to admit food droppings hehe)

I've already got a somewhat effective measly mini portable vacuum cleaner for our keyboards but at times requires several passes or some added manual labour with a brush to loosen up the squatters. Can't be bothered with air dusters anymore. Needed a secondary zero-hassle more effective solution, an attachment to tie in with our 890w Miele C3 vacuum cleaner. Its a mini mod with a fly net filter to avoid gobbling up KB keys and works a treat. First time use - only one/two quick passes, zero-hassle, the keyboard bed is so clean i can sleep on it.

EDIT: To keep in line with the thread, i did buy a set of TYPE-C charging cables and some other stuff.
