It's sad to hear your experience with PS120 SE isn't as good. I've actually done similar upgrade by switching from Fuma 2 to PS120 SE so I have followed your posts on this and I really wanted to say something is wrong about it but I couldn't find any. I've even checked the pictures you sent to see if something looks wrong but everything seems normal.

But I actually did a repaste yesterday too. So your comment on the mounting system is a little weird to me. Screws on mine loosen easily and whole thing comes right off once I unscrewed both of them. Maybe a defective unit? If screws/mounting mechanism have defects maybe they are also not tightening enough, causing sub-optimal temps. (big stretch ik) If returning is an option, maybe try that. And if you are not seeing decisively better results than DR4 (not even Pro 4) I guess it's better to just return it anyway.

I still have 10min cb runs from the day (8th October) I switched to PS120 SE, I'm attaching those below. Fuma 2 itself was a pretty good cooler. Only reason I upgraded was to give it my friend who had very loud stock fan on his system (my old system) and I got a good deal on TR cooler off amazon at that time.
Note that hwinfo fan readings was a little broken on that version for me. Both cooler should be running at full speed on this test (1200rpm for Fuma 2, 1550rpm for PS120SE). Also my system is running with -30 CO and 102Mhz BCLK. BLCK doesn't effect all that much. But you can see that PS120SE was running on lower temps even though it scored higher. My observations with 5800x3D that it lowers its clocks more aggressively over 80C so scores got lower as well.

+ Also my idle temps are quite a bit lower. Right now, at 21C ambient, CPU fans are at 950RPM~ (case fans at 1000RPM~), while typing this I'm reading 27C lowest and 30C highest core temps.

I mean, this is pure stock:

Default power limits

With load optimized defaults and XMP@3600 with 1.35V

With -30 CO on all cores:

So nowhere near your single/multi score.

This is after multi cinebench run with my daily settings:

That's weird. I'm noticing your CPU power usage is quite a bit higher than mine, yet it runs slower and hotter at the same time. I know silicon lottery is a thing but this looks like a too big of a variance.

Oh are you running CB 23 with high priority? That usually adds 200-300 points due to program running at low priority on default. Still, it doesn't explain power difference.

Edit: Long shot but what's your CPU LLC settings on BIOS? My mobo also Gigabyte and it runs on lowest LLC setting on Auto. I guess High LLC can cause some temp and power issues in this case. Although I wouldnt expect 15w~ difference anyway...

I just turned it back to 100Mhz BCLK to test it on similar ground. Here's new results on -30 CO with stock and eco power options, although this doesnt matter on CB for me as CPU doesnt really hit those limits for me

CPU LLC is set to Auto. Whatever that means on X570.

630 on single core in CPU-Z bench was the default score for my 5800X at stock. With PBO2 it was at around 659/6600.

I'm at loss and ran our of ideas about why there is this much variance on CPUs atm. :( Even if yours need more power on CB due to silicon difference, this doesn't really explain why even CPUz single core scores have this much gap between us. I can consistently score 630~ points and in theory we both should be running at 4450mhz for that test. It's just weird.

To be back on topic, here's a night photo. I temporarily stuck an old Logitech saucer as a gpu support bracket. It just works :D

Did you paint everything in that case by hand? It all looks like the same paint.
It's all factory paint. I didn't picked parts depending on colour. But it just happened to end up matte black and gray. Also, the natural light in the photo makes it appear more grayish than black, and it's vice versa in reality. One more thing, I hate that case layout. If we talk about single compartment cases, the PSU should occupy the useless corner instead (for people without 5.25" drive bay needs), and leave space for all that air which the most power hungry component really needs.

yeah it really does. I mean what are the odd that the zip ties match the exact same color the case and fans and heatsink, plastic PSU shroud is even a perfect match. Yeah, there is almost no way that came from that many different companies and ended up with the exact shade of grey.

For a while temps got slowly higher when gaming, yesterday I noticed my GPU temps went up to 68 and hotspot around 82, cleaned out the dust of my case today with some nice effective results.

No need to change TIM or thermal pads, it's temps are still like it was new. (2070 Super) :D

My 980 Pro M.2 SSD got upto 41 degrees while running a game of it.

My other M.2 970 Evo got also upto 41 degrees.

I'm happy with it!

Been around 6 month since i last throw some pic in this thread and a little bit has changet since then. i cant remember if i have prosted more detailed image here before since i got a 3d printed funnel to provide some more direct airflow to the mini-ITX system.

two things annoyes me and that is i can´t get the two cpu´s i really want. I can´t get Ryzen 5600X3D since i live in Europe as this is US micro center only and importing it to my country would be to exspensive, i could off cause go for 5700X3D for the mini-itx in stead, but that would ruin my goal of keeping my pc cooled by air only and the other cpu would be 5950X3D, that is imposible to get my hands on as this cpu only exist as prototype at amd´s lap. These cpu´s would complete my desire to make one of the fastes and most unik AM4 build out there in bofh games and workstations use. Dont get me wrong, 5600X and 5950X are still fast and great CPU´s, but there are just something that draws me to these 3D chips.

Now what are the lastes changes.

The 3d printed funnel is not that new. made september last year. But gives an important airflow upgrade mini-itx. The fan under the funnel has been replaced from a Lian-li Uni fan SL120 mm to a phanteks t30-120 fan. I dit that do to the Lian-li fan laged the power for any meaning full airflow. The phanteks t30-120 however do that job to my full satisfaction.
I swapped last year the mini-itx gpu from RTX A2000 to a Gigabyte RTX 4060 Low Profile card. pretty most twice as fast as RTX A2000, so that´s a nice upgrade to the mini-itx system
Storage has been upgradet to. Now i have a total storage capacity of 82 TB shared between the two machines. 6 SSD´s (3 NVMe sssd and 3 sata SSD´s) 4 HDD makes that possible. Latest ad to storage was Crucial MX500 4 TB ssd and a WD Ultrastar 22 TB. So all HDD are now Enterprise grade HDD. 2 x WD RED PRO 16 TB, 1 WD GOLD 14 TB and the WD Ultrastar 22 TB.
With the lastest upgrades, I have complete filled a big case like my phanteks enthoo 719. There are litterly no more space for internal storage or much else now.

I will post a few image here, the rest of image will be in a link with all image, to prevent a long post.

As a last thing. I was wundering if there are any one else on TPU that has a dual system in 1 case?

Figured that I don't need any active cooling in my case while the ambient temp is not too high and the PC is doing light tasks, like browsing, audio&video, torrenting. But the P14 PWM PSTs just won't stop and do hovering around 350RPM. They're on the front and top panels. Oh, well.
Configuring them from PWM to DC in the BIOS changes things. :)

I use Fan Control just for manual tweaking. It's set like this in the BIOS (CPU on auto, bottom and back 30%, front and top 45% - now ~5.4V), speed readings are not really accurate though:

I should add that both P12 and P14 are pretty silent below 850RPM, have an annoying resonance around 900, and above it's getting louder thanks to a motor noise, not a blade noise. BTW, P12 is 25mm thick, while the P14 is 27mm.

Ok, why do you want them to stop?
Is that a serious question?
Figured that I don't need any active cooling in my case while the ambient temp is not too high and the PC is doing light tasks, like browsing, audio&video, torrenting.
Literally the first sentence. C'mon man, you know better... Sometimes I feel like an idiot for sharing any useful info.
