Its my old rig, tore out the water cooling and give the pc to one of my kids. Using the same case with the new build, but its pretty bland in comparison.

Thank you.. and yes, hard tube is for building it and never touching it again. Except for flushing/cleaning the loop.

Here is it will all its glory.. Went with black lights, the only LEDs besides the purple fans is the graphics card block. The only thing I regret about that build, is my purple uv reflective cooland, ended up being pepto bismal pink..

But the new build has no LEDs and just an old H110i cooler.

Personally I'd just go for a good air cooler instead of an AIO, as an air cooler needs no more maintenance than just cleaning sometimes. With an AIO, the pump can break over time etc.

True.. but I already had it.. that H100i is over 8 years old and still running like a champ. Even sat in my spare parts closet for years while I was on customer loop. Just waiting for it die before I switch it up.

Yeah, of course it's fine to use it if you had one as a spare, if it wasn't used that much before, I suppose it still holds up for some time.

Just took this with my crap phone, to give you an idea on how old this AIO is..

Dont mind my holes in the case, I modified it when I went custom water and had to remove it to get the loop out. Was a solid piece of glass on the bottom to give reflection.

Actually comfy to see some actual mods these days as otherwise almost every case looks the same with just minor differences..

yea the first time I had to troubleshoot anything with a hard tube system I was like

all I needed to do was unplug and replug the GPU into the PCIe slot because it was stuck in X8 rather than X16....but hard tubes make the easiest task like that damn near impossible without making a leak or draining it to do it safely

I've since changed to soft tubes after learning that lesson lol

yeah.. they pretty much look alike, except for the fish bowl cases.

Nice, that is a huge hunk of metal hanging off that cpu. I see your gpu brace on the case, but once I went vertical gpu mount, I will never go back to horizontal.

That Freezer is a good cooler for its price (cost ~40EUR from sale) and does its job fine. Especially when it cools a non-hungry CPU as the R5 3600 under it

I'd use the GPU support on my main rig but I had problems with its threads so fuck it, I leave that to the 2nd rig as I'll upgrade the GPU on my main PC later and this 6700 XT with its monster aftermarket cooler will be on the 2nd rig later..

Oh no, even 1 is too much more for me. But I have to say I kinda dig the lcd screen glass panel mods like this

But setting up is PITA and I wouldnt want it as a extra screen, so have to use Raspberry PI or something. I just cant make it worth it just for the looks and possible sensor panel application.

I would definitely minimize tube bends and rely on fittings, regardless of additional points of failure. The multi-bends I did were a pain in the butt.
