Cryptocoin Value and Market Trend Discussion

If Bitcoin has gone to be an official ETF I expect the price to swing heavily in the coming months. People will buy and sell and some bots are set to sell when Bitcoin hits $60000 Canadian. That number might need to be adjusted as time passes on an upward trend. There are so many ways to earn digital currency that it has banks offering real interest rates on Saving accounts.
Yup, sell at $60,000 and then invest in AI, assuming its not too late in the game in that sector when the time comes. AI is going to be king at some point, the only question is who all is going to be at the top of the pile.

There are so many scenarios in place that AI could give Bitcoin and other Digital currency a real boon. I wish I could buy Nvidia, AMD or Intel stock to put in my TFSA. Closest is the NASDAQ as I am a Canadian.

Alot of money is being dumped into any kind of investments. Look at the US stock market for the past 30-60 days.

Yeah all the haters in here...I check back often to see if anyone has changed their opinion...nope. If they would have bought some BTC or ETH when this thread was started they would all be $22,000 richer per coin with BTC and nearly $1500 per coin of ETH. Yet all the charts, all the forecasting, and all the bitterness because they didn't enter early. Why don't you all predict Lottery numbers instead? I think you would be about equal in your forecasting. LMAO.

Imagine if you bought the lows, as I mentioned, and held. Where you would be at? I don't have to imagine. ;)

The potential to make money on crypto does not de facto make crypto a Good Thing.

I bought 1 BTC and ETH when I started the thread. I have actually been in the red for most of the time since then, only until late last year(?) when it started to rise. My wife wanted me to sell when I broke even, but I told her this rally has momentum and will hit $100k eventually. Not sure what I would do but it will be a nice problem to have.

While those are interesting points, the thread is titled "Cryptocoin Value and Market Trend Discussion". Let's stay on topic.

and will hit $100k eventually.
If that is going to happen, it's unlikely to be this year or even next.

Exactly! My trend and discussion points have always been to buy on the low and hold.

Because a 5900X has good hash-rate performance as long as you're willing to ignore the power usage. It's a gamble on BTC and other CPU-minable cryptocoins becoming very profitable jumping greatly in value, thus off-setting the original expenses of generation.

I checked on nicehash, mining with a i9 13980HX mobile processor will only gross you .73usd cents per day. Laptop power draw might be around 130w registered at the wall.

That really doesn't say much. Electricity costs vary from area to area. So that profitability estimation can not be trusted as it doesn't apply universally. As such, only those doing the mining can make an accurate estimation of how profitable such efforts will be.

Yes, right now CPU mining gives you up to 4x more hashrate vs a GPU.
