It says nothing about efficiency with one value and no fps being tested.
Here frequency was tested against fps, and power consumption.
Which is also off, because real power consumption is not reported power consumption. There is plenty more power consumed by rails, vram, and other components that are not shown in software.
I have power plug to measure as well, but can't exactly deduce the numbers.
for example 109w gpu +51w cpu reported is 220W from wall and
149W gpu + 73W cpu reported is 298W
Considering a 85% bronze psu there is more power used then is reported.
On TPUs tests 6700 XT is 220W max.

No one asked for this, but here are my Fire Strike results under Linux. Time Spy is a no go unfortunately. DX12 support is still incomplete.

Radeon 6700 (see CoreCtrl screenshot for settings) and Ryzen 1700 @ 3.8 Ghz.

Okay, this GPU seems to keep getting louder. The fan is super loud default curve settings. Why is the hotspot always at 105 degrees during gaming? Also, is there a decent CPU temp monitoring tool that works with adrenaline?

It's a Gigabyte card. $10 says if you take it apart (probably 8 screws) you will see not enough paste on the GPU. The first time I saw it was with my Vega 64. That led to Watercooling and the next time I saw it was with the 6500XT. In the exact same place.

What's the typical hotspot temp under load? I have been reading that AMD says 105 is fine... seems dumb.

105c is fine. That's when you get thermal throttling though. I had 105c hotspot until I applied my own paste. Then I had 95c hotspot.

I have a low end msi cooler. The difference between 50% fan and 100% fan under load is minimal. I have a lot of room to decrease the fan curve without actually hurting performance.

80 C but if you have proper airflow you can get it into the mid 70s. I even have a 6750XT

Then you must have some well-made AIB card. 105 °C is quite common on the AMD reference model, for example. With good airflow, you can get it down to 100.

Mine is actually an AS Rock. Those cards are surprisingly quiet and have nice temps as well with the added bonus that they are the cheapest cards you can buy.

Got Stable Diffusion working. Need to look much into the settings though as I tried to generate a cat pic mut it looked more or less a mutant.

My Powercolor Fighter 6700 XT gets close to that under heavy load; that's why I think that in reviews the generic "temperature results" are dumb. Though props to TPU as here the hotspot temps are mentioned too. "but Chloe, didn't you have the massive Morpheus cooler with your card?", yeah, yet I tried to hide the fans' cables and knocked one of the VRM heatsinks off so I decided to go back to the stock cooler..

I'll let the VRM heatsinks' thermal glue cure for another 12 hours, my 2nd PC is fine for temporal usage :)

The heatsinks on the left look pretty brutal as I had to modify them to fit under the heatpipes of the Morpheus II before..

Lookin' good so far. I thought those heatsinks looked familiar, from a Morpheus! I have one for a 1080 but now that I have a 2060 Super with an absolute dogsh!t cooler on it, I'm thinking of transferring it over.

Need just to ziptie a fan to blow some air to them. Already took the aircooler from my main PC and I'll swap the cooling from my 2nd setup :)

I think that a 240x45 + 120x30 rads are enough for a CPU+GPU loop.

EK VGA Supremacy, bought that years ago and I use it sometimes on my build, sometimes for a project etc.

Works like a charm, temps after a Time Spy run :)

Did you have to do any modification to get it to fit the gpu? I have an old switchtech universal block that doesn't quite fit the mounting holes. I might have to 3d print mounting hardware if I ever wanted it to work. I have strongly considered including my 6750xt in my custom water cooling loop, I have the cooling capacity, but I don't want to go through the process of draining the loop. I am super impressed that you are doing it. Custom gpu blocks are too expensive.

I think I could even cool the VRAM with the universal GPU block. There is enough space to mount copper shims on the vram and have some contact between the shim and the gpu block.

I have a thing for ghetto builds. I love the look of it. The copper radiator looks amazing too. I almost purchased some full copper DDR5 heat sinks for the looks rather than thermal performance. The most ghetto thing is that tubing.

What's your make and model of your GPU? I am curious what the stock heatsink was. What were your hotspot temps with the stock cooler?

The block fitted without any modification. My card is a Powercolor Fighter model.

My card is a strange one as the scores start to decrease with higher voltage. Even with watercooling, 1075mV seemst to be the sweetspot.

Looks like mine defaults to the maximum GPU Vcore value, even at default GPU clock! (2.7 GHz) But the GPU core temp seems to not get that much higher, even at 2.9!

Is 24.3.1 worth it? My current 24.1.1 drivers seem to get corrupted somehow (symptoms: lagging in text editors, artifacts in photo editors), considering getting myself an update.

Is 24.3.1 worth it? My current 24.1.1 drivers seem to get corrupted somehow (symptoms: lagging in text editors, artifacts in photo editors), considering getting myself an update.
No issues here on a 7800 XT.
