No the board have the inverted connectors on the back of the board meaning it hidden from view unlike the boards in the last numbers of years where cable management is a nightmare

I've got a silly project idea for lossless x264 recording, and video editing. I thought that maybe used xeons could give me a good bang for the buck. I found a few deals which I have linked below for the xeon e7 8890, xeon gold 6138, and a xeon phi 7250 and their respective motherboards. Any feedback?

I'll always say Supermicro in whichever flavor you want that supports the chip.

I would check DELL Precision towers, with series x810 (where x is either 5 or 7).

No because it's a quad socket.
I'M looking for a single or dual.

Even if a dual supermicro 602j has an hacked bios available ?

Seems to be LGA 2011-3 :/...
The issue is that chip is made for quad sockets. Fairly specialized boards since the socket is 2011-1 but it supports DDR4.

This MBO support only Non ECC or UDIMM memory.

Sorry. My bad!
4gb I saw that it is guaranteed but with sticks of 8gb or more it is doubtful whether the 16gb and 32gb ones work more precisely
Why haven't I seen anyone on the entire internet who managed to make it work on this motherboard?

It seems that some chinese MB can support one ou dual socket R2.
That's playing the lottery if it'll work or not, and good luck getting a proper refund if it doesn't.

i think mobo's from China have got a lot better i've never had a dual but all single socketed ones have worked well and are well moddable with turbo boost and rebar enable if you pick the right ones. Miyconst on youtube dos some great vids on picking the right ones .

Hello! I hope you are well. I would like to request your advice regarding a new computer that I am considering. I am evaluating three options and would like to know your opinion on which would be the best choice.

The first option is the MACHINIST E5 MR9A PRO MAX motherboard, LGA 2011-3, with a Xeon E5 2698 V4 processor and 64GB of DDR4 RAM (4 pieces of 16GB each) at 2133MHz. This configuration also includes a NVME WIFI M.2 MR9A PRO MAX memory.

The second option is the ASUS X99-A II motherboard, LGA 2011-3, also with a Xeon E5 2698 V4 processor, but with 32GB of Kingston Fury Beast DDR4 RAM (2 pieces of 16GB each) at 3200MHz.

The third option I am considering is a current generation configuration that could offer similar or even slightly superior performance to the options I am considering, without a significant increase in cost. What current generation configuration do you consider to be at the performance level of the other two options?

I am aware that the ASUS motherboard has a higher cost than the MACHINIST. However, I wonder if it is worth investing in the ASUS, considering its age, compared to the MACHINIST which is a more recent model.

In addition, how does the performance of the Xeon E5 2698 V4 processor compare with the processors of the current generations? It is worth mentioning that the main use will be for video editing, rendering and design, not for gaming.

I would like to know your opinion on the cost-benefit of these options compared to the most recent configurations.

Finally, I have some specific questions about the MACHINIST card: Are the fans very noisy? Does it get very hot? Is it efficient in terms of energy consumption?

I would greatly appreciate your opinion on these options and if you consider that any of these configurations is a good choice today compared to the new configurations.

Best regards!

i use the MACHINIST E5 MR9A PRO with a E5-2699 in my view its the best x99 board from china every thing works as it should and has a good vrm cons it only has 2 4 pin fan headers the rest are 3 pin. its so good im thinking of buy another.

2699.JPG

it works with the rebar mod and turbo boost mod with v3 cpu's .
it hasnt gone above 50c even with CB running. and is quiet with the AIO.
