I may be imagining it, but there looks like there's at least 10-20% less dust.
i thought more than half, anyway shots seem darker in this rom (atleast at default settings) that's why it's looking cleaner because i haven't done anything, now as you triggered my OCD im gonna clean up everything properly :D

again... clean the dust off man :D
i just did, even the keyboard with a wet cloth though still it is left with much to desire because the dust between keys is hard to remove without removing the keycaps which im not comfrotable in doing so (atleast for now), took me some time to find a decent gcam port for my phone but it was totally worth it as you can tell by the picture quality.

Turns out I didnt show off the beauty pics of the computer I built my mother for Christmas!

Its a bit of a shame that the ERA ITX case didn't get very good reviews due to abysmal airflow. Its such a pretty case!

At least thermals won't be an issue since its only got a i5-12600 in it and is primarily used for online banking and Excel spreadsheets. Definitely went overboard with trying to make it silent, probably didn't need 5 case fans for a system that draws less than 50W most of the time.

Apparently, it's too silent. After replacing the stock fan of the APX120-67 with a P12 Max, you can no longer hear when the computer turns on or wakes from sleep. Whoops.
Is the airflow really that bad? Bottom intake, top exhaust, looks okay to me...

Era makes a good example of victim of recently common testing methodology focused on airflow to the point of absurd. Even kids in kindergarten know this case is an oven or sauna if we want to keep it Nordic lol

But realistically it doesn't work like airflow is bad or good, but cases just replace air faster or slower, so it's only matter of needs of chosen hardware. Just by looks Era definitely aims to be more stylish than performant. It's not much perforated, so it's obvious. It's a case for hardware not needing much cooling, e.g. for people prefering going stationary to do basic stuff instead of having everything squeezed in laptop.

If you were making a mid to high end gaming computer it would be pretty bad. With two full height fans at the bottom, you are limited a lot by the size of your GPU. Maybe if you de-shrouded a 2-slot GPU and you used slim fans you might ok-ish temps, but the side panels are not well ventilated for exhaust. Also the bottom intake is very limited, the vertical slots at the very bottom of the sides is all you get for those two fans.

As for the top exhaust, 95% of the area is blocked off with the wood panel. There is a mesh panel that you can replace it with but it ruins the aesthetic. Most of the reviewers were trying to pack this thing with top tier hardware, but the case is probably thermally maxed out at a 65W CPU and 150W GPU

I delidded the 7950x3d which started a whole long dive down the rabbit hole. Thought I killed the CPU but turned out it was the Asus X670E-I Strix board that didn't want to cooperate. Now using a X670E Hero since it was what I could get ASAP and honestly like the board....but not the price.

Same thing I said about the Hero, but honestly it has been flawless since day 1 and I couldn't be happier I got it. It is what it is. What kinda difference did you see before and after the de-lid?

I'm assuming mine just had a bad solder job because I never saw the max speed of even just one of the 3D CCD's. 4.5-4.7 was the best I would see. Sitting here right now with 35-37 idle and windows constantly reporting between 4.8 - 5.1Ghz. I know this isn't great info but I can tell a huge difference in games because I used to get random micro stutters and so far since the delid and or new board I haven't had one besides Calisto Protocol but I heard its pretty common in that game.

That's very good idle temps. Mine likes to sit around 45-48ºc idle but obviously not delidded and my room does get quite warm, it's 25ºc now, but can get up to 26-27ºc at times in the day. Miami heat can be tough and my wife is always cold so we keep the A/C pretty high until it's time to sleep. But yes, to your point, nice drop in temp. What are you seeing gaming and under load for temps?

Sorry for the late reply. Yesterday played some witchfire and at around 20% cpu utilization at 5120x1440p I didn't see over 61 Celcius.

that's pretty damn good. Ran any benchmarks? Curious what you get in CB23 or CB24.

Running both R23 and R24 screams to me I need to mess with the PBO settings especially after seeing those sweet temps.

I really like such "function over form" and in your face ugly pcs - they are the essence :] Colors giving impression between kinda matching or happening to be totally random, tubes looking like loop spends his life just cooling or smoking and not evenly ziptied fan which just does his job, so shut your mouth xD And then cable kit or this battery color matching (I bet) oldschool Thermalright fan making you once again confused about visuals :D

It just feels right and is so much better than another perfectly composed, built and looking the same pc in Lian Li Dynamic with AiO and RGB fans:

I swear, every time I see a custom loop build here my itching flares up.
I made it a goal of mine that for my next build I will cool it with a custom WC loop (so much so that I made a mock blueprint), it's just that there's no justifying rebuilding for some good years.

I think that you shouldn't force yourself to go custom loop. Imo it's the thing only for enthusiasts, ones seeing no other option. I personally stay away from it due to not caring about looks or performance it may offer, but wanting to avoid maintenance and cost it needs. My way to go are reliability, silence and low maintenance, so water cooling fits it less than more.

My way to go are reliability, silence and low maintenance, so water cooling fits it less than more.
Oh no, it isn't about forcing myself. It's about wanting to take the challenge on (that and daily over 40C ambient temperatures where I live during the summer).
My current rig looks mighty fine and is as low maintenance as can be (everything on air), but it is a hotbox.

If so, it seems fine - wanting and having motivation thanks to weather should work well :] 40C is pretty hardcore. Even 30+ well cooled components in highly ventilated cases don't stand it well, bacause you can't fight much ambient temperature with airflow. One thing I don't know is how custom loop compares in such hot scenario. If it gets some advantage or opposite.
