first time ever Cyberpunk 2077 hits overwhelming positive reviews

what a comeback story. let's see if Starfield can do the same (although I don't mind the game, it's this kind of dedication to improving a game that makes me really respect a developer, No Man's Sky also comes to mind, and Stardew Valley)
is CDPR has plan to give new update patch for this game, routine, in the future ??

I don't think so. We're about to witness more community created content than anything else. Maybe a couple patches at the very most.

J4L testing showed that it's possible to play this game at 4K using a measly RX 480. This is a horrid mess with FSR at Ultra Performance and everything at Low/Off but it's almost comfortable at 40 to 55 FPS.

The game rocks. I bought it at release and it was a mess. I think I still put 40+ hours into it but never finished it. Fast forward to this year and I started it over, played through the entire campaign, DLC and re-did the ending several times. 148 hours total and I still have more to do. It was a fantastic joy ride.

Starfield deffo wont - cyberpunk was always a good game with an interesting story, and very good side quests with good character development - it was just buggy for some people and needed polishing.

Starfield on the other hand was / is a mediocre game at its core at best. Like i had alot of fun with it initially primarily due to building ships, but after being done with that, the more i played it, the less i liked it - the game had all the downsides of bethesda games, without any of the upsides.
Like in fallout or elder scrolls, the world invites you to just go explore everything, with an entirely handcrafted world that has so many interesting things, which for me is the primary thing drawing me in in those games... where as in starfield, outside of the 4 big settlements, it's all Ai generated. So you're basically just wasting your time doing anything outside of the cities - so you are pretty much discouraged from exploring anything. Then you have a 2/10 story (if im being generous) and 5/10 combat.

Ironically cyberpunk have waaaay more of that exploration element that bethesda games used to be renowned for.

And encouraged you too check in the smallest nuks and cranny's.

No, devs have said that the game is completed.
They are on major updates, but they did say on one of their latter interviews that minor updates might still happen.

"While the team is now finally writing off major updates to Cyberpunk 2077, Amatangelo isn't ruling out smaller updates entirely, saying, "It's possible that there's some other little thing that comes in here or there, just because, as you're kind of messing around with stuff, sometimes you discover something that is not a high risk. Or it's easy to integrate."

Which I hope is true, and here is a link to the interview.

I also do have to say, they did a good job fixing what should have been when first released, and it's one of the few games I will keep playing for a while. I do hope the next sequel continues on with the same style of game play.

The last thing I heard was that most of the devs from Cyberpunk have been moved to work on the Witcher 4.

Until now there are still no signs from CDPR to release some new, small update patches for this PC RPG in the future.

Well, according to the interview, CDPR's US Boston division is working on the new version of the game (Origin). They will be the ones looking at 2077 as well since they were the ones that did the last few patches after the expansion came out.

MSN also said the same thing about it with an CDPR X post.

I think CDPR might do small update's here and there to keep the interest going since it had such a bad start.

As far as I know from the email, it looks like a free update that adds this and some fixes.

1920x1200, quality upscale, framegen, PT, custom settings, Dreampunk SDR mod, blade runner textures and a few more mods, changed weather. This is not the max but my card cant do better with playable fps. (RTX 3080 10Gb 0.850v@1860mhz) Very laggy in Afterlife.

Sucks that you only have a 1920x1200 display. The game is much more vibrant on 4K monitors. Yeah, I get it, FPS count will become iffy but your eyes will thank you a lot.

That is one old monitor you got there :) probably 60Hz too. What model is it ? Getting a modern 16:9 at least 144Hz, Freesync capable for gaming would be a good thing.

Just get a proper 32" 4K monitor once you can afford it. Trust me, my eyes are tired and upgrading to 4K was the best thing I've done.

I understand. I game on 32" 2560x1440 144Hz VA Gsync monitor, no way i`m going back to a smaller monitor, a second hand one with those specs should also be around that 120 Euro/USD mark. Maybe you should tray one in a shop near you and see how you like it. PathTracing and Ray Traycing look so good on a VA in a dark room. I can imagine what an OLED with good HDR should look like :)

Using FSR FG (with the latest update patch in CBP 2077), wow, the average fps is 30-50% higher than using DLSS balanced (3440x1440 75hz), but the blurry is more noticeable if using RT ultra.
But if the RT is turn OFF, game its much cleaner.
If you're a masochist then sure. But yeah, DLSS and FG make wonders happen.

i dont know why, but the more official update is coming, the graphic setting on this game is heavier (more resource hog) than before, also more blurry.

i just remember, in 2021, 1st time using rtx 3080 10gb, RT ultra default setting with DLSS quality (3440x1440 144hz, with HDD 7200rpm sata3 only) its so much better quality image than today with the same setting, also much more smooth on average fps than today.
