Since parking on church is a thing, how about driving on skyscraper with a Komatsu mining truck no less (Midtown Madness 2)?

After 99 hrs of gaming, just finished The Kingdoms of Amlur : Re-Reckoning (PS4).
I've already done it on PS3, then on PC during the Covid period, and now on PS4.
I love this game, it's far for being perfect, but have some charms on me.
It's like a Solo MMORPG for noobs.
A mix between Diablo (the looting items) Morrowind (the quests ans even the font used) and Darksiders (some arts and gameplay)
Done the 2 DLC and the last one, Fatesworn is not so great, repetitive and a kind of boring at the end.
A lot of things to do, to craft, ( weapons, armors, potions ... ), 3 differents gamplay, fighter, magic or stealth, of mix them as you want.
A good point is that everything seems to work as intended.
A looooot of lore, books, stories, legends ... it's even to much !
Encountered 2/3 bugs, (a secondary quest broke before the end), an unwinable fight (just reload the save), no big troubles.
A good game, basic but enjoyable, with a good sense of progress. Grab it while in sale !

Nice art, day and night cycle, seems the better part is the first hours, the end game feels a bit rushed

View attachment 354262
Classic environments, desert, forest, marshes ... need the last DLC to encounter snow !

View attachment 354263
By default, the camera is very very bad, looking to the ground, you misses a lot of the suroundings !

It's better than Skyrim.

I spent most of the weekend on Forza Horizon 3, 4 and 5 and my favourites are Danger Signs and boards, if you can get them.

Yooo

Halls of Torment. Just get it for the 4 bucks it costs... This is so much fun. I lost 5 hours yesterday and barely noticed. 30 minute runs, non stop madness and XP farming and levelling goodness. After 10 minutes you're feeling powerful. At 15 minutes you're a god. And then it gets even more chaotic. Absolutely fantastic. It also nails that Diablo 2 vibe.

I've played the Prelude (demo) and loved it - could have sworn I bought the full game. Apparently not. Fixing that now.

Dragon Age: Origins. Have finished it when it was released but apparently I remember almost nothing. Plus this time around I got all the DLCs. Still awesome game

And Forza 4 on Steam Deck :)

Doing the story update in Wuthering Waves, I really like the art style and combat in this game I just wish my luck with the gacha part wouldn't be so bad.. 'luckily its playable with the more basic chars too even the starter one/main story char is decent later on with unlocked powers'

That's "The First Descendant". Nexon released it just a week ago. Free-to-play, but generally Nexon games are allright. Back in a day I played the crap out of Combat Arms with my brother.
Haven't installed it yet, but I should get on it while it's still fresh. Always miss good online co-op games by a few years(when nobody plays them). :D

Game is pretty freakin' good imo for being all of the things some of us like rolled into one.

As some say, it's kind of like if Anthem/Outriders actually had more things to do and had an endgame...and that endgame was Warframe (modules/enhancement).

Like Division 2 in many ways wrt loot, just different tone/setting (and therefore abiltiies); it being fantasy rather than military cover shooter.

And like if Petra (of Destiny's Awoken) made your Ultimate weapons, which you can not only infuse (like Destiny) but enhance (like Division 2).

And if your main enemy in the beginning was the Cabal. Oh wait, that part is almost exactly true. There's many parallels to all those games, to be sure.

No-lifed it for a few days until I unlocked hard mode; pretty good solo experience and with wandering/match-made randos per activity/zone. World chat and it's Discord need some heavy moderation though...

Now on a more healthy path of a few hours a day. Would be nice if invasions (essentially strikes/dungeons) were MM on hard mode, but over-all us Live Service peeps are eatting good with this one (so far).

Am quite enjoying it, although when I had to grind to create another Ikelos (voltshot) SMG Thunderlord Thunder Cage after using the wrong menu (and deleted one), I became quickly disheartened by that grind.

Back to it though, because it is indeed enjoyable imho, and Void Intercepts create that quick (if fleeting) commoderie that I enjoy within these games.

FWIW, I am taking the completely atypical path of leveling Bunny, grinding a character out to 40 for MR, re-leveling Bunny, and then making sure Bunny has everything she needs before playing more as Bunny.

Oh...That's 80% of the player base? Yeah....yeah, it is. For exactly the reason I thought it would; speed to clear activities. That said, the grappling hook works surprising well (for everyone else) once you master it.

I feel as more character/classes become available to more people, those who stick to her will be like OG Hunters...but with an AOE, Chaos Reach; like a Warlock...and HP/DEF of a crayon-eatter. Nice mix.

...and no, I didn't spend $100 to display her cheeks; just a couple bucks to look a little different. Kinda bummed I can't do the mega stomp as a normie, but whaddya' do. Grind out that Ult, I guess. :p

Nailbiter win after nailbiter win topped off by losing to win 30 yards from finish line of a grueling cliff strewn race over a mountain. No finale is exceedingly rare.

I swear I also like the story/soundtrack/gameplay and events in Nikke but ofc nobody believes me when they see the characters in the game.

Let me tell you about a time back in 2017 when this 'little' AA $10M spin-off to Drakengard came out. I was so excited by the Platinum game-play before release; I knew/cared about very little else.

Then...the best of all those things (imo) happened: It somewhat solidified, somewhat evolved my entire way of thinking about life (I swear to you; I also know I'm not alone).

What was the prevailing discourse, at least at first, though? We all know. You play Nikke, YOU KNOW on multiple levels.

I learned a lot about myself and respecting how all people approach a certain piece of media given their disposition/age/culture; also that they may enter it with one and leave with much more, given time.

Sometimes, that's the point. Sometimes, a lot of things are the point. Sometimes people may believe they only took what they wanted from the beginning, but in-fact acquired much more.

All this to say I, for one, will never judge you. I also will not judge it's critics. These games are not just created to titillate...they are world-wide catalysts for international discussion, growth, and understanding.

Au Tomato did in-fact change The West, at least for those that have or continue to embrace it, and like-wise I feel Stellar Blade is having (and will continue to have) some effect in Japan (and elsewhere).

Truly think about that for a minute.

What those games have in common but also how they differ...and where many proclaimed artists (not just Taro, Kojima, Miyazaki, or Kim) have found inspiration unbeknown to much of their audience.

Despite the true nature of these games, which prevailing aspects may vary based on life experience/knowledge, what is the common denominator? The most simple entry-point for interest, if not discourse.

I have not played Nikke, so I won't speak out of turn, but I would not in any way doubt your attention to the true aspects of it's nature is valid.

If anything, I feel you should continue to proclaim particular aspects of those elements, such as you have, to widen the discourse and further the understanding of the talent that lurks beyond the key art.

Yeah tbh I wasn't expecting much when I've picked up the game on the launch day but it looked like a possible fun game for a few weeks/months maybe but now here I am still playing the damn thing more than 1.5+ years later. 'played the current event mini game today for like 2 hours:laugh:, its basically Dave the diver lite version in Nikke which is now I'm interested in cause its oddly addictive/fun'

Sure for most ppl on the surface its nothing but yet another cash grab gacha for the thirsty/cultured ppl and that part might be true but theres a lot more to it imo. 'I mean when a game can play with my emotions then I know that they did something right, not many game does that to me btw'
Nowadays I get more excited for a big story update in this game than a new AAA game relase..
I'm genuinely curious to see what happens next and how some of the characters develop in the story, for me this game is an art and its not just some low quality gacha or whatever.
This game also helps with my moods cause it can make me laugh my ass off at times with the story/character writing. 'it has its dark moments but imo theres a solid balance'
Sountrack is also good enough that I sometimes listen to some of the songs when I'm not even playing the game.

Also for what its worth I was playing the game 100% free2play for 1.5 years with no real issues to speak of 'reached end game and got almost all of the characters in the game at that point'.
We got some really nice limited skins for the 1.5 year anniversary event and thats when I've decided to buy one of them cause I wanted it and I also felt like that they deserve some support from me after getting this ammount of fun out of their game for free. 'much more than what I get out of a lot of the AAA games actually..'

Btw Nikke is from the Stellar Blade devs, needless to say that the moment Stellar Blade drops on PC I'm gonna buy it right away.:)

Which race was that?

Eliminator.

I beat 3rd place and immediately started race with last player after respawning. Timeouts (you both suck and died) are usually like 5 minutes with 30 second counter. This was more like a minute with 10 seconds to race end. Usually very late races get cancelled to begin the final race across entire map. Or manage to barely finish within time remaining.

I can assure you this is a very rare outcome and I'll stop spamming FH daily. :):)
