ID-Cooling dominates the competition with the FROZN A620 PRO SE. By forgoing ARGB lighting and excessive visual accents, they've created a cooler that offers a combination of performance and value bordering on unbelievable. At less than $30 it even offers better price/performance than Thermalright.

Good price to performance.
I have one of their low profile coolers on a 2600x and, to not quote anyone, it just works.

This wave of high performance dual-fan and dirt cheap coolers seems to please croud as hell. But it's a strange phenomenon. Two fans and quite much of heatsink for dirt cheap may only result in bottom of the barrel quality of everything, especially fans. It always leads to low durability and bad acoustics. Such thing is really what you want, high wattage, so mostly premium CPU's owners? Or majority owning low wattage ones, so chips which are not likely to show a difference between this dual-fan killer and some tiny single-tower?

I hope industry will focus more on compact dual-tower, but one-fan coolers - like offering all of the sizes of such. Not many of them here, but they already show it's the way to marry low cost with possibly great performance and compatibility. Especially we already have years of testing showing that secound fan on dual-towers improves performance by negligible margin, so mostly costs or saves on quality of both.

thanks for the review @crazyeyesreaper

For $30 i'm impressed. The A620 PRO SE would be a good buy especially considering i've got some high performance fans sitting around which would no doubt set the bar a little higher. Unfortunately im not in the market for one in poor taste of aesthetically spellbound AIOs. A carefully priced product too seeing the Phantom Spirit, in it's price/perf class, is still the king of the hill.

A couple of years ago when the D15 and DRP4 (etc) held the performance royal office who would have imagined in a short time you'd be able to pick up better performance for one third of the cost, or buy 3 for the same price.

I believe this launched at 50, then got lowered to 40. Now seeing it at 30, this would be my top pick. I love the looks.
Thanks Thermalright. Your aggressive pricing is making others take note.

Affordable HS design with some Arctic P12 fans slapped on it basically. I mean the fans certainly look like they tossed a ID Cooler sticker on some Arctic P12 fans to me. Probably made in the same exact factory actually, but that just observational speculation based on the fan blade amount and curvature looking identical. Either way good value for consumers so whatever.

oh, it's the SE version. I know I've seen this cooler before now. The A620 Black is what it was called. Okay then. Not sure if black paint is worth 20 dollars.

Wish this was @ this price when I grabbed the PS120Evo. Didn't really want/need the RGB.
Now, since most-everything I've bought new has RGB, I'm tempted to actually use the lighting. (Solid Red)

Am I the only one a bit uncomfortable with how cheap dual towers are getting? Don't get me wrong, I really love this new wave of affordable cooling, but I can't imagine there's enough volume to justify enough revenue to make this market sustainable without massive compromises in regards to labor or future R&D.

Well that Thermalright is pricedumping and basically making nothing from their products is already what contacts at every other cooling OEM thinks according to GN, so this is most probably the same. I think your concerns are very valid, we've seen many times over what pricedumping has done to other facets of tech i.e consumers will end up with only bottom of the barrel junk but pay way more for it, if the pricedumping doesn't kill the company doing it first ofc due to competitors weathering the storm.

ID-Cooling tends to have extremely good value coolers. Slap a few high static pressure fans on that heatsink and it should be a champion.
If you have to put more expensive fans on it, the value proposition is gone

What? Go on Amazon, there are dozens of single tower designs

Thermalright has this edge, they produce more of components coolers consist of than competition, so they can go lower with prices. What TR seem wanting to achieve with flooding market with cheap coolers is to hurt whole, especially value-oriented, budget competition. They even release one after another like some celebrity reminding herself with next drama. And we already see it works, croud spamming everywhere that there's no sense of buying anything other than TR - people knowing shit about coolers and thinking that topic starts and ends with confronting dBA-normalized performance with price.

What? Go on Amazon, there are dozens of single tower designs

There're since mid 2000's and I explained why they should be replaced by DUAL-towers with one fan ;) Single tower design came a long road with it's peak being Thermalright's Le Grand Macho and then all kinds of dual-towers proved their superiority. Maybe single-towers defend with being even cheaper to produce, but hard to say.

Benchmark Scores I once clocked a Celeron-300A to 564MHz on an Abit BE6 and it scored over 9000.
I don't see this on the official ID Cooling EUR Amazon store page yet, which is ID Cooling's highest-profile, first-party sales channel, and where most of their stuff appears first.

They're also selling the smaller, inferior A610 for €35 on their official page, which makes me think that this $29.99 price is BS. If the manufacturer isn't selling at their MSRP, how do they expect their MSRPs to actually mean anything? This just stinks of a manufacturer making an unreasonably low MSRP to get more favourable reviews, with no intent to actually sell it at that price.

Don't get me wrong, I like ID cooling's stuff and I've bought a lot of it in the past but their prices shot up and that means they're vastly inferior to Thermalright in most of Europe now, and the tiny A610 for €35 ID-cooling's own page, which competes with sub-€20 Thermalright offerings like the Burst Assassin 120 means that the EUR price of this A620 Pro is likely €50 at the very least.

At €50 it's no competition for a €36 Peerless Assassin, end of discussion.

If we see this in Europe at the €35 price point that usually matches a $29 MSRP, then that's great - but all past and present evidence right from the manufacturer's own channels goes against that, so you'll have to forgive my cynicism - it's empirically justified.

What you've seen in the last years is a complete lack of competition and innovation in the air cooling market. More "normal" prices and competition might now seem a bit odd while still being practically scammed with 40-euro Hyper 212s or 80-euro U12S.

Thermalright has always had a WIDE line of coolers, including the more experimental ones that will be available to buy but also will be archived more quickly. Not the 10-year R&D cycle for one release with miniscule improvements. I don't even think it's possible to count all the Ultra 120/True Spirit variants since late 2000.

Also nearly always the best performance/price/quality ratio but absolutely no marketing.

If these coolers were doing the numbers that DeepCool does, or used to when talking about the US market, then it makes sense that a single-tower cooler could sell for $40 and still have enough revenue to cover materials, wages, warehouse costs, etc. But having dual-towers cheaper than that with additional costs in regards to fans, additional aluminum for the heatsinks, and possibly more heat pipes, all while being more expensive to ship based on container pricing for weight and size, makes it really hard for me to believe that any of this is breaking even. That's not even factoring in inflation and how expensive shipping has got in general. I really doubt the lack of marketing costs would make up for that.

An outstanding product for ~$30 USD. Basically a no-brainer.

My only issue is if the CPU manufacturer recommends a 240mm, 280mm or 360mm water cooler, then I'm going to feel obligated to go with said recommendation. Going against the manufacturer recommendation just doesn't seem wise and who knows how it might effect the warranty.

White is definitely the best.

ID-Cooling tends to have extremely good value coolers. Slap a few high static pressure fans on that heatsink and it should be a champion.

The fans on the graphics cards are not "high-static", but rather high-airflow, with complex patterns which further improve the airflow characteristics.
These fans here are 5-blade and flat.

They have two options:
1. Two-blade fan with complex patterns.
2. Nine-blade fan with complex patterns.
