You might consider a swamp cooler and dehumidifier for the room
The issue wasn't the cooler or the humidity, but the thermal paste xfx is using, after replacing to mx-4 the temps came back to normal dropping the hotspot by 25c.
Im curious to use sometime the ptm7950 to see what delta difference it can get compared to the arctic

Based on what I've read about it, the difference isn't much in temperature, but in longevity. PTM7950 is said to pump out a lot less.

Yeah but as i mentioned, the paste after opening the card for the first time after 1 year of usage was still brand new like it was applied same day, it wasn't dried up at all, quite the opposite.
What do you mean by it pump out a lot less?

As thermal paste goes through several heat cycles, the pressure between the GPU and the cooler can cause some of it to "flow out" due to its expansion when hot. This can result in less contact and higher temperatures over long-term usage. PTM7950 is said to suffer from this a bit less than more mainstream pastes.

I understand, I've heard something similar from Linus that the more heat cycles getting through, the better contact it make since it's a bit solid like a pad at first, but someday maybe next year i will try out the PTM7950 to see what's going on with this badboy

Hello, a year ago I bought rx 6700 sapphire pulse, everything was fine until a couple of months ago
playing gets a black screen and stuck sound
done everything, and checked psu voltages, temperature, changed memories, changed hard drive, even put a 3060 and it works ok, no problem
rma... and they return the card to me because after testing they do not see any fault in the card....
doom eternal, before entering the menu it already happens, see video

Well in the end I had to return the GTX 3060, which worked fine, and put the RX6700 back in. The only way I've managed to get it to not give an error is by lowering the power by 30%. Any suggestions?

It looks to me the problem is software related.
When the screen blacks out, can you still move the cursor?
Have you tried running 3dmark or any other benchmark program or games?
Is your pc freshly formatted with all updates?

The card was sent... RMA... but they said they did tests and everything was fine, anyway I don't know what to do, throw the card in the trash?
Other people's money is worth little to these RMA guys...

Try disabling XMP or decrease RAM speed to 2666MHz.
Maybe lock CPU max turbo to all core turbo multiplier (ie. disable single/two core additional turbo) ?

I just assume you already tried a fresh OS reinstall. But in case you didn't this is your FIRST order or business.

In case it helped not:

• Try disabling the Resizable BAR. Some GPU/CPU combos are severely allergic to that.
• Try a different power supply. Not necessarily more powerful, but you must be sure it works fine with AMD equipment.
• Reconnect everything. Loose contact is a common reason of various glitches.
• Update your motherboard BIOS. Might be muito perigoso: in case of power outage you will brick your board. Ensure you have backup equipment and a UPS.
• Try using a different displayport, or HDMI cable.

I just need to reinstall Windows 11, the rest has already been tested, the PSU has been monitored and the values are always correct, what intrigues me the most is that I put in a GTX 3060 12GB and everything works ok

Please send it back to the retailer to claim the warranty service.
If they can duplicate the problem , they will help to go RMA process via our RMA center.
Thanks.

The shops, I don't know why they are such bastards, you have to go directly to the manufacturer and waste time so the shop can do its job...

My 6700xt (powercolor red devil) goes down to 1100mv stable and that's about it. I tried 1090mv but games won't open just instacrash, lowering the core to 2400mhz did help a bit or so I thought, I get crashes and guess what isn't stable got a driver crash on idle, so I stay at 1100mv on mine lost the lottery I guess but hey I ain't complaining.

Today I upgraded to PTM7950 prior to game test I Run Furmark for 33minutes to let melt it and settle manufactured requiem min 30+ minute at min 65C+ I have 77C and 95C Hot spot on furmark after application before hotspot reach 106C room temp 27C
In game test below left before on right side after both test at 1,14 UV. I get +2C but drop -8C on hotspot

I still don't understand why 67x0 cards have so huge deltas between the GPU temp and hotspot.

My Powercolor 6700 XT is cooled with a slightly modified Raijintek Morpheus II + 2x92mm PWM fans and here's my temps after a run of Superposition Extreme 1080p.

Two days ago, I disabled MPO and downloaded the utility from the Nvidia website... I hope Murphy's doesn't read this... and I've had zero problems for two days. I've played the games that gave the most errors and nothing... let's see if it's fixed...

I seen someone investigate issue and find that cores are not flat simply TSMC drop ball on quality.
And only PTM can fill gaps.

Well, to talk... it happened again, we were playing and testing for 36 hours and everything was perfect, but then it happened twice in a game, and now it's happening again... if I deactivate MPO and it lasts 36 hours, what do you think?

Looks like something other than GPU is issue here, try look inside windows event log for what errors popping out if no errors present this can PSU issue.

I don't think it's because of the PSU, because when I restarted there was no signal, after 4 restarts and disconnecting the DP several times... the signal appeared, I also put in the HDMI and there was no signal... but I repeat it appeared again, now I have to deactivate the MPO... the voltage went low... we've been playing for 5 hours and nothing happens, in Fion this is a big piece of shit

Restarts do not help because dry out/ old capacitors cannot hold nominal charge and put more strain power mosfets such PSU have only fraction of its rated output available, this will be consistent that RTX 3060 works because use less power than RX 6700 XT. Also when such caps get hated up you GPU can not turn on until colldown due in-proper voltages . Provide age , brand and model of your PSU.
Try borrow PSU or buy from shop with return options simply use new PSU outside case to do not scratch it if problem appear again return it if not you will have solution.

The PC is 12 months old, it is not an XT, it is just an RX6700
I have looked at the voltage of the source, and it does not communicate at all, it is always 12.02...v12.05v
