Has anyone tried playing this game on any platform?? On PC after the two patches, it is still as unplayable as it was when it launched. Lots of random crashes to the desktop without an error message.

Turning off all the Nvidia features like ray tracing, frame generation, DLSS haven't helped. Nor has setting the game to all low settings. It's just so random. It could be 5 minutes; it could be 2 hours.

Them finally adding cross-save will definitely get me to try it on my Xbox.

When the game works, I really am enjoying myself exploring and looking around at all the environments they've created.

I am in the last 5h of the main quest with alot of side quests still open. It is technically a bit janky and I have now a bug on PC that prevents me from hyperjumping with ship to other system. Still can fast travel via map but I just hope this bug isnt game breaking in the end. Just moments ago I checked that there is a new update for PC that changes the .exe file version. On Ubisoft Discord some ppl say it breaks performance. At this point I am afraid that I got to watch a Lets play on Youtube about end portion of game.

Edit: Tried out game and now hyperjump works again. About performance I yet cannot say anything.

I got it on PC, it is pretty bad, managed to play for an hour last night but it crashes randomly very regularly, which is a shame as i quite enjoyed it.

Is there any fix or tips to help?

I guess ubi launcher has updated it, it was annoying last night, though did manage about an hour crashless. I hope they can sort it.

After the couple patches it got it seems to be relatively stable now. Yesterday played for hours - at 2160p DLSS Quality and high settings - and while it did crash that was after 5 hours or so. Which still is not OK but at least somewhat understandable and tolerable.

Toshara and especially Mirogana seem to be more problematic. Beginning in Canto and the entirety of Kijimi has been very stable for me. Have not yet gone to the other planets.

At launch it was basically unplayable for me, quoting my post from the review comments thread:
The game seems to have a VRAM leak. Plus, they have messed up their memory management as usual these days where game will try to allocate more memory than available from VRAM and then falls over.

I have a 4070Ti with 16GB VRAM. I play on 2160p with DLSS Quality, so 1440p-ish native plus a little for DLSS. Especially in Mirogana, if I run a lot between different areas, the VRAM usage builds up and game eventually crashes. Same happens in other areas, just generally slower. I can play reliably for a couple hours on Low settings and no RTGI but after a couple hours (or more intense back-and-forth running in Mirogana) it will still crash.

If I turn on Ultra and RTGI then running through Mirogana will pretty much instantly crash the game.

Edit:
Not the best of examples because the VRAM utilization does not show the rise nicely, partly because the monitoring frequency is too low and partly because there is a big chunk of data the game loads there. I just don't care to spend time messing around to find a better example. There are crashes that happen at 15700MB of used VRAM at an area transition when the next chunk is loaded but that takes more time and finessing to see.

I have an open ticket with Ubisoft now. I have gotten to where I can play for extended periods of time turning all the Nvidia tech off. No DLSS, No Frame Gen, ray tracing on as low at each setting will go. I can get about 2 hours or so before a crash.

I have been playing on my Xbox since they have cross saves enabled now.

I really enjoy the game, it’s a shame the PC version is so unstable.

You have latest Nvidia driver installed?

People are playing this game?

Well, I guess it can't be as bad as concord or that Stillborn game or whatever it was called.

Its not bad but not excellent either. Put like 30h into it to beat it. I still have like 42 side mission to do but they feel so uninspired. A shame that side characters had more effort put into facial animations than main char had.

Not without its flaws but it is pretty darn good. Most reviewers and wider gaming press seems to have missed the point completely - not a shooter and not a jedi game. Once you realize these things and accept that the character is a scoundrel your expectations are much better met. It is a bit easy-simplistic as a stealth-sneaker game - when comparing to say Hitman or Styx or Dishonored - but it is also going for mass appeal as a more traditional open world game.

I have been going around and around with Ubisoft on running this game on my PC. It is very unstable and crashes at random.

I have been through all their suggestions and still the game will crash. I will just have to enjoy it on my Xbox at this rate.

This game is unplayable on PC, the worst game launch by ubicrap in a while. It does not even run for 5 mins at a time before a dump to desktop with no warning or error message. So glad i never paid full price for it.
I guess webecrap will take their time fixing it as they are making enough from the console sales of it.

Runs really well for me. I've had exactly one CTD and that was in the first week before the patch. Great game. There are a few mission bugs and if I set RTXDI above medium some areas of the open world see a pretty big fps drop. Otherwise great experience.

You are the lucky one then. There are a lot of people having the random crashes in this game.

It doesn't do anything well in the gameplay segment though. Simplistic is doing simple too much justice here. There's barely anything to go with

Its popularity floats on the franchise logo that comes with it. As a game... yeah. Whatever lol. I think lots of press took it for what it is, 'a game'... with little to no identity or soul. Its really not quite clear what it wants to be so you're left guessing, but its really 'the casual thug life of a movie lookalike in the Star Wars universe', with very little game to go with it. Its got the Ubisauce elements, but every single one's execution is lacking.

I just finished this game (about 5 minutes ago) and must admit I enjoyed it. Before the first patch, I only had a few crashes, but after that, it ran perfectly for me. The performance was pretty good. No lag, stutter, or anything.

Its kinda a mixed bag gameplay-wise. I mean, it's Star Wars so being the fan I am, I had to play it but I have many complaints. Still, I did enjoy the game, for what it ended up being. Do I want to continue finishing quests and such? Naw. I'm happy to move on.

/edit I didn't buy this game. I nabbed a 30 day membership so I could play and beat it for $18.

I did most upgrade quests but after main quest I had like 40 side quests still unfinished that I didnt want to finish (feel quite uninspired).

I did most upgrade quests but after main quest I had like 40 side quests still unfinished that I didnt want to finish (feel quite uninspired).
Yeah, that's how I feel. I did a bunch of side quests to upgrade my bike, ship, and get excellent standing with some of the syndicates, but eventually, I just wanted to finish the game. I have no interest in doing any more quests. I may come back to it if they release an expansion though.

There were instances were I would search for the quest giver or location for like 30min but couldnt find what / who triggered the quest. So doing that 40 times all over.. no way

Lots of random crashes to the desktop without an error message, and all patch up , plus we have similar system , Ubisoft platform is what I use .
