Damn! That gives me some hope. Once those CUDIMMs are available, I plan on buying a 10000 MHz kit for my board, allegedly they'll be compatible with Raptor Lake to some extent.I've been fully stable at 7600 with 1.2 V on the MC and it's actually been just a quick and dirty - I actually haven't put any time optimizing it

That above is my daily clocks, used to be 8400MT's on a different sample, that one is a new chip./sample, IMC grade is 91, haven't really paid much attention, but it boots 8600MT's all Auto..

P-core SP 115, E-core SP 81. Seems like bang on average bin for my KS. I am getting the 6.2GHz when voltage limited to 1.5V though which is nice.

EDIT: 1.45 Voltage limit, LLC 6 and -120mV undervolt also nets 6.2 when running cinebench 15 and 23, but also throttling with a Liquid Freezer 3 360, this chip is so stupid i love it.

Not a bad chip to be honest. It's probably not comparable between KS generations (just like the 13900K SP ratings and 13900KS ratings differ, as well as 14900K ones), but if it's of any interest, mine reads SP 108, P-core SP is 118, E-core SP 89, MC SP 76. Hasn't done me bad tbh.

I wonder if anyone here installed Bitdefender on their systems? I got BSOD related to the Bitdefender module atc.sys several times. For example a Windows crash happened one time I was running a stress test when Bitdefender was updating itself.

Did anyone face instabilty with third-party anti-virus?

I do not use an anti-virus, in fact I disable Windows' built-in AV as well. Might be a specific bug with Bitdefender or just a bad overclock.

New microcode is coming. 0x12B is supposed to fix the root cause of the stability and degradation issues with Raptor Lake

There's a minor possibility I'm joining this club buying a 12900KS. The price is right but unsure if I can secure the quid for the deal.

Muito obrigado.

I won't be worried if this flies away because I sincerely don't got a task that requires something faster than an i3-12100 but for $200... WHY NOT? The bug is I'm completely out of money.

I know that feeling man. Things have been very tough for me lately too. I'll weather it, hopefully

You will and in case you won't you still got a very expensive PC to sell in case things go completely terminal. However, I'm sure you won't need this.

My situation is plain simple: I don't have a well-paying job. But I got enough spare time so I will figure something out. Gotta look out for DDR4 VS DDR5 comparisons, I'm pretty sure my 2000late sticks will bottleneck this 12900KS but will top-notch DDR4 suffice or I should look for DDR5 at this point, this I don't yet know. (about to upgrade my motherboard either way)

Don't worry about that one - Alder Lake works very well with DDR4

Whatever's cheaper it is then. DDR5 cost reasonable money today so I'd rather slot this... despite not planning to upgrade initially but my bro needs a PC and the best way to do it is to upgrade mine and give him my old stuff.

Do E-cores still work foul on W10? No way in hell I'm installing W11, it's beyond cursed. Never managed to get it to work stable enough. And I'm talking an official licenced copy with a legit key installed with no ditry hacks on a 100% compatible system without any piracy going on.

It works fine, don't worry about it. I've run Windows 10 most of the time on my 13900KS. It benchmarks just as well as W11 does. Core allocation may not necessarily be the smartest but if you do run into the one-off problem, you can always use process lasso or the feature to park E-cores with scroll lock, though I don't think that will be necessary. I never had a problem myself.

$200 is a hell of a deal, even if used. I could actually buy a BNIB 12900KS for $275 locally while stocks last, but I simply have no justification to move away from my AM4 rig in the near future.

Like I said, the price is right. Wouldn't've considered it, either but I need more PCs in my household so whatever. AM4 doesn't provide what I want and AM5 is too expensive.

The KS can go beyond 7000MT's I had one before, unlike the non-KS SKU's which will surely play with lottery, the 12900KS does 7000MT's easy peasy. this can easily translate to 4000+MT's for DDR4

Like I said, the price is right. Wouldn't've considered it, either but I need more PCs in my household so whatever. AM4 doesn't provide what I want and AM5 is too expensive.
AM4 is still expensive, albeit AM5 offerings as well, you pay extra bucks for the E moniker and you just get an extra promontory chip that's pain in the butt and adds more issues than it helps..

I do not use an anti-virus, in fact I disable Windows' built-in AV as well. Might be a specific bug with Bitdefender or just a bad overclock.

New microcode is coming. 0x12B is supposed to fix the root cause of the stability and degradation issues with Raptor Lake
Disable anti-virus on your system might not be safe for use. I would not recommend it. I saw people online having issues with BSOD and Bitdefender as well. Maybe it is not a stability issue.

0x12B fixes the idle high voltage issue. I am unsure whether the microcode will stay enabled when Intel default is turned off because 0x129's microcode fix turns off if Intel default is off and I need to set the IA VR Voltage limit to 1450 to avoid high transient voltage.

It is a high-end gaming system. I don't do any business on it, the small amount of sensitive data is on my laptop which does have an anti-virus, memory and disk encryption enabled ;)
