Does it allow for a leather strap? I had one of Colareb's on my Seiko Five, but I am not a person for an expensive watch...it has to be something simple and cheap cause I can't keep them in one piece for too long :D

Yes there are but they arent as common afaik. There is a huge modding scene for this model of watch. A lot of people take the module out and put it into a steel chassis along with a steel bracelet. You may be able to find leather straps on Aliexpress as thats where most mods and accessories for these watches are picked up.

::EDIT::

Ive just read that you can get a full titanium chassis and strap for this watch too!

Why would you want one with that watch?
I just like "the feeling"/ looks of the leather better than silicone/TVC/plastic straps. I guess you mean a watch that is expected to be wet/in rough conditions? Yeah, in that case won't make much sense, but I usually wear mine for daily stuff, not really the way they are meant to be used.

That's fair, but for that particular watch? The color scheme and "feel" of the watch would be defeated by a leather wrist band. It'd just look tacky and mis-matched.

Exactly, that's what that model is aimed at.

The ones in the post above with the polished metal look good with leather, but those are more stylish than rugged..

My opinion...

Its pretty smol and svelte. Quite low profile but definitely doesn't feel like it's worth the retail price.

It feels more like a an $50-65 watch vs the $98 paid.

Maybe I'll upgrade it to the titanium chassis and bracelet when the time comes to change the strap. Otherwise it's still a lot of tech packed into a small watch.

Solar, world time, multi-band... Excellent features but not worth the asking price and I even picked it up on sale. Id be far more pissed off if I had bought it at full RRP at $130

I think i prefer the rounded shape of my GD-100 a little more.

::EDIT::

Or maybe the 'classic' look of the GW-M5610-1ER is lost on me.

Maybe its a watch I will grow to like more the more I wear it.

My Aliexpress Santa has delivered once again......

I have a drawer with some old computer parts (salvaged from a HP Z210) - today my H61 motherboard arrived. This and those will make a nice retro gaming PC.

i loved those lumeniscent backlights. So uniform. I hate the LED being visible to the side. Feels like they took the laziest approach :(
but it being tough solar, i guess it makes sense. i personally have been eyeing the

I bought a s24 128gb non plus, but it was too small, so did a trade at cex for this which was A grade. The s24 i had cost me £350 because it had a flaw in the colour coating, was flaking off, but otherwise was in perfect condition. After reading some reviews, a lot of people still consider the S23 ultra a beast of a phone, and i am very happy with it. The S24 ultra is still over £1k new which is too much for me. I got a black S23U which is imo the best looking one.

S series are pretty good for the long run. I still have the S22 and they are still using the same camera chips till now. Worse is they went with Exynos on the S24 here, so i am pretty satisfied sticking to my S22. I use it only for listening to songs, calling, video calling and camera ofcourse. The video capabilities specially in UDH 24fps is amazing.

In the EU area including where you are and the UK only the ultra models have SD chipset. I was a bit narked that the S24/S24 plus dont have SD and neither do they have UFS4, so the S23U which has both is very good. The S22U is still a very capable device.

This has cost me about £600- the £250 i got trade for the S24, which wasn't bad considering the flaking violet coating.

Most of reddit seem to prefer the older (non 'U') one. Going as far as calling the change more of a downgrade despite the new version having some QoL fixes.
Some folks have even gone as far to 'mod' the 'U' version with a different colour LED. But i think that's taking it a little too far for me.

I'll do the chassis and bracelet mod because its an easy thing to do and you dont break any seals to get it done (module pops out and stays factory spec water tight) but im not willing to go as far as mess with the internals which does require cracking it open and breaking the factory seal.

I can still see whats on the screen clearly when the light is activated and I rarely use the light feature anyway as most of the time i'll have my phone with me or have enough light from a street light or shop window to see the display.

Another DDR5 kit investment.
Going to see how tight I can get this kit @ 6400MT/s to run 1:1 with stability in Zen 5 .... keeping in mind future upgrading with Zen 6?? or even Intel?? :D
32GB kits still completely viable for gaming imo.

i loved those lumeniscent backlights. So uniform. I hate the LED being visible to the side. Feels like they took the laziest approach :(
but it being tough solar, i guess it makes sense. i personally have been eyeing the

Kamikaze banzai!!! :D I mean, I am eyeing your experiments with the machinist boards from Ali. Troubleshooting, issues, head banging in the wall :p
It was $20.12, including tax (shipping was free). I'll be throwing in a $20 nvme, or maybe a $20 ngff - the m.2 slot will use either, I just have to adjust the jumpers. Haven't played with jumpers in a while. The board actually has a lot of information about jumpers & front panel connectors silk-screened onto the pcb, which I found both useful & surprising. All in all, it is a $40 experiment.

Still deciding on the gpu. My choices are as follows:

1. RX 560xt (8gb) - I think this is the cheapest 8gb card on the market. These are functionally an RX 470 8gb. AMD made some of these, but from what I remember, they were China only.
2. RX 570 (8gb) - this got me through Bitcoin mining. (not from Aliexpress)
3. RX 580 (16gb) - got this one after a number of YT were doing videos on them.
4. RTX 2060m (12gb) - this is one of those "laptop GPU on a PCB" gpus.
5. RTX 3060m (6gb) - See above. Cool fact - it has more tensor cores than a Desktop 3060. I'm ordering this one next week - I swear, I can stop buying these weird cards anytime - honest.

I have a Huananzhi B760 board in route - I would have bought it, rather than the Soyo 660 board I have, but it didn't occur to me to look for the 760 for the same price as the 660. The 660 is a little disappointing. Soyo didn't use most of the capabilities of the 660 chipset. The nvme slot is PCIe. 4.0, but none of the other features were used. It is basically an H610 board, although it does have resizable bar available. Soyo did fix that later with their B760 board, but it was a couple more dollars than the Huananzhi. Besides, I haven't bought a Huananzhi motherboard before.

I haven't decided what CPU will go in it.

On the one hand, I have an i5 12400f that is in the B660.

On the other hand, Craft Computing did cover the latest "what laptop component can we put in a desktop" idea - which is why I am looking at an i5 12900HX, for $117.

Because, why not?....

Does that count that I bought 4x CR2032 batteries?

I have few motherboards (+ PS2) with dead CMOS battery
