That is true enough. They look like 50x50x20mm fans. Could get all kinds of fans for the Jonsbo (dynatron has 5800 rpm ones :D). That's probably what I would do. Your call. I think the Jonsbo (or similar) is more aesthetically pleasing, and i like the mount. The clip-ons work. I've certainly used them plenty times. No shame in it.

Gotta admit though, it looks pretty cool next to that AIO

P.S. no idea how to make that .webp image show up like a normal picture.
You know.. Dammit.. lol. I do like the way they look… ugh lol. Making this decision harder lol. I may buy them too and test the difference…
Yep.. I’m gonna do.
JEDEC allows up to 85c, but that is 1.1v and loose ass timings :)
Dam, that sounds nuts lol. Yea my timings are pretty tight. I might have to loosen them a bit regardless.

Here is mine. Created another loop for RAM alone. Only 120mm rad will do the job.
Previously RAM could go upto 48c when gamed (shared the loop with 10900kf and 3080 ti with 1850rpms fans and thick 240mm rad + slim 360mm rad).
Now it never breaks 32c (900rpms fans). Ambient temp is always 26-27c air con.

Very clean. Nice job on that. :D
I’m looking at waterblocks too right now.

This is insane lol…
From over 75c to 42c with a big ass fan blowing on my ram and the side panel off.
Ram has shrouds removed now.
I hope I get similar temps once I close the case with the small Ram fan but omg. lol.
Stable in Anta777 extreme for 20 mins so far.

This really does beg the question, why do ram makers go out of their way to make such shitty, even downright counterproductive cooling for their modules? Literally nothing is better than what they have on there.
They should come with small fans on them or something. Lol

It's about prolonged life and stability. Do what you need to do.
I eat my words here man. Spot on you were. RAM is running well under 50c in Anta777extreme. Looks like it’s stable at just under 45c atm as it is.
I just hope I can keep it that way when I close the case.

Edit: So I had an extra Noctua 120 laying around and I used a grinder to cut away the squared off sides, leaving basically on the cowling and the fan, wedged it in behind my GPU, right up against the ram, closed the case and temps are just crazy good..
Wow.
It’s as good as having that giant fan blowing on it pretty much lol. Maybe 1c difference.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I was stubborn as a mule about putting that fan in there but once I realized how minimal I could make it look, it was on lol.

Oh and I got that ram fan from Amazon, not the Jonbo one..
It sucks.. You are sooooo much better off with a 120mm right on it.
Remove the ram shroud and 120mm.
This is the way..
Cheers.

I get that, Thanks, but I was just trying to see if somebody had used some things or tested some different modules and found that others were more effective.
Team Xtreem kits have a pretty good heatsink and pads. I measured around 10'C lower than competing G.Skill Z5 modules.

Of all the RAM kits, they were the coolest by far. Get the 24GBx2 kit so you get the Micron M die Rev 2. Those clock better with the same voltage

Edit: Just to add, they have a pad on the PMIC as well.

Gskill and their tape lol…
I ended up taking the shrouds off and Direct cooling out with a fan. My temperatures are awesome now. Under 45C at load.
I might change the memory, but the overclock is looking pretty nice right now so I’m not too worried about it.

Are you running intakes on the bottom? I'm not a fan of bottom to top/rear airflow. Modern GPU's block too much and give off too much heat.

I’m thinking about naming my computer the tornado. Lol
I’ve actually added additional fans right in front of the GPU which is side mounted to suck cold air directly into the intakes and help reduce ambient temperatures.
I’ve gone a bit crazy tbh lol.

I don't actually know how to respond to this haha. There's no reason to have that complicated of an air flow setup and it's potentially causing more harm than good.

Ram makers do what sells, regardless of what happens to the consumer. Many heat sinks are heat retainers these days. I also saw a comment on TEAM being cooler, and it's mostly due to running shit timings compared to other "performance" kits in their segment.

Oh there’s a reason… But it’s not a reason that any sane person would have.
