Shader Stutter and Accessibility
Unreal Engine 5 is designed to avoid shader stutter, and it's a non-issue in most games using that engine.
Isn't it the complete opposite, and most games using UE5 suffer from horrendous shader stutter?
The only UE5 game I've touched besides this game has been fortnite, and that had shader compilation sutter for me. You can also see silent hill 2 for another UE5 game that suffered from bad stuttering.

I also find it funny that my performance is horrendous even when having all but 2-4 settings stuck on low, and because TAA is off, it's a raving disco of instability and hilarious lighting problems (problems that exist even on max settings, even if to a lesser degree). The game already looks mediocre though, so it's not that big a deal to have it pinned at those low graphics settings.

Have three games with UE5 ,Hellblade II and Remnant II , and this one , not the best looking out of the three , had zero issues so far !

Side note i did order a new controller , 20 plus year old Xbox 360 died on me , other one died years ago.

They claim that GTX 1060 6 GB is enough for 30 fps on 1080p low. I wish any reviewer put that claim to a test.
I tested it and it runs at 30fps but you need FSR at quality or balanced. This way you can enable frame generation to get 60fps, but you need also low latency reflex mode in display settings to reduce the input lag of the frame generation. Not the best but playable. My cpu: 8750H (Ryzen 2600 level)

Game visuals are just alright, would look much better with path tracing mode like in Black Myth Wukong.

That's terrible so you not even playing at 1080p is more like 720p or less. Dlss & FSR has been said not recommended for 1080p or less.

Seems Nvidia is doing a bit better on this game and not so much AMD. Let's see if they can release a driver or update to make it at least a bit better.

Yet there's not a single video card tested with less than 8GB of VRAM..:wtf:
And looking at the minimum FPS chart at 4K shows most 8GB cards dropping places and frames equally hard. The 3060 12GB is way ahead of the 3060 Ti 8GB for example, almost rivaling the 3070 Ti 8 GB.

The people who made this game seem to be Ukrainian's, GSC Game World, game was supposed to be launched years ago but with the war they had other priorities.
We can cut them some slack and not hate the game optimization, who knows what's in their mind considering they lost everything they had.

No fast travel? Not gonna lie, that makes me interested. The weakness of open world games is that you will not actually walk over all of that cool open world more than once. A game without fast travel suggest that maybe the design is different.

Every site has different numbers.. Here rtx 4070 is fast as GRE at Toms it fast as 7800xt and GRE is fast as Super at GameGPU.. But in all tests AMD has better lows..

Even turning around can make a huge difference in FPS. Also whether you test in a settlement or open world matters. Test system, too, because the game is quite CPU limited.

I picked an open world scene because that's where you're spending most time. The time in settlements is maybe 5% of the playtime. Indoors is maybe 30-40%, but typically runs at higher FPS than open world.

Game uses Unreal 5. No one should be surprised. It was the same with Unreal 4 & 3.
The difference now is that there is very little difference (pun) between lowest and highest settings. The moment I read "lumen in the software" I knew exactly what the quality comparison will show.

First two results are with upscaling and framegen. "Upscaling" means you're not actually testing 4K, but some lower resolution
Maybe, there is something wrong with AMD cards in your test, especially RDNA2 cards. or maybe different tested area

I'm on a 3070 Ti, and the game drops to 3-6FPS every 15 minutes, until I restart the game. What do you mean its "well behaved"?

How much RAM do you have? what CPU? did you close everything else in the background?

Memory and Ram rises over time , seeing high usage over time , 4K DLAA FG EPIC , most likely a patch will fix this issue , new game has some kind of issues .

Yup ,in my testing just turning and moving 10 ft away will shew results , its like getting your car dyno tune , as long as you go to the same tuner, you will know what mod added power , running to different turners will never be the same , temp that day etc.
