Remember this, all you youngsters getting into IT. They ain't all Sagers and custom rigs...

I maintain a fleet of 300+ HP i7-4770 SFFs that are 24/7 online for the past 11 years. Excluding the shitty spinning rusts they came in (I replaced the faulty ones with SSDs), they have an actual MTBF which I observed and calculated at ~6 million hours.

Some upgrades for a secondary computer turned racing setup (a Ryzen 3500X and a 1080Ti are good enough to drive Assetto Corsa at 100+ FPS on that screen):

What inclined you to purchase the G923 over other wheels? Just wondering. I had a G920 for about two years before I sold it and bought a Moza R5 bundle. Also, do you have it mounted to a desk or a rig?

i think getting a microwave with convection function is more practical for most. Doesnt take up more space as 2 separate objects. and certain things are cooked more efficiently, with the air frying + microwaving combination mode.
Depends on what you're air frying. The dedicated ones with a basket are the best if you only want an air fryer. I have one that was obtained at Aldi for US$40. Technology Connections did a video on them:

Bang-for-buck, and it is desk mounted.

This is more of a household-and-friends setup, mostly kids and the like (the pedals are propped on an old ammo box so they can reach them :D). I don't really sim race myself and there was a very deep sale here for the G29 and G923 and I opted to get the newer model although I am sure the G29 would've sufficed, but the difference was small ($200 vs $184).

The previous wheel was an el-cheapo 180-degree wheel that broke and I didn't want to entirely cheap out again because it barely lasted six months. On the other hand, I also didn't want to go for the $300-400 and higher setups because honestly, I could've just gotten a Thrustmaster T80 for $100 and everyone would've been about as happy at the result in the end. The Moza is currently about x2.5 more expensive here compared to what I paid for the G923. Maybe if someone in this household really starts taking simracing seriously, then I'll consider something better down the line.

Another Asus Xonar Essence STX for $50 off Ebay. I made a ridiculously low bid and to my amazement the seller accepted it. I also got an 8TB Seagate BarraCuda NE-ST8000DM004 spinning rust drive for $103 on a daily Shell Shocker special from Newegg last week.

Nice score!! I have been eyeing them for a bit, but eventually quit the idea. Is there support in Win11? will you be able to use fully?

Ordered 4060Ti 16GB. My 4060LP experience has been flawless on my ML-09B gaming build so I think I'm going to be happy with this card too if I end up having to ditch my 6700XT in my primary gaming PC although I'm not to thrilled about the price.

My NR200P build still experiences some random problems from time to time and comes down to the motherboard or GPU which are the only original parts remaining of that build that haven't been tested separately. It's going to suck if the RX 6700XT is the problem since the custom loop ended up being quite good but I needed another not too expensive GPU to test with so this one is it. If the 4060Ti swap solves the problem then I will know my RX 6700XT was causing issues or the MB+GPU combination was problematic and I'll just return my NR200p back to air cooling with the 4060Ti and be done with it. Seems Bykski has a waterblock for it if I want to go back in that route in the future so that's a plus.

No, but you need a Lenovo branded card, so go find a computer repair shop and ask them to sell you one or find one on eBay or similar from a Lenovo laptop.
Also keep in mind it might be the antenna placement and not the Realtek hardware that's the issue.

I have a genuine Intel AX210 WiFi 6E in my Lenovo ThinkPad L14 G2 (i5-1135G7) if I remember correctly and it works like a claim.

It's sad about the black/white on laptops these days, because the T480 didn't have one and you could use a NVME in the 4G/LTE slot which was really awesome.

A used Dell Latitude 3180 for my wife. She already have 2 laptop (one with intermittent screen problem and the other is too big for her). She wanted to use my laptop, instead of saying no I buy this. No way I'm going to let her touch my gaming laptop, the two laptop I already gave is already in sorry state. Currently prepping some necessary stuff like disabling telemetry and few other things like installing LibreOffice before handing it over to her.

SSDs aren't included, it only tends to be WiFi modules and WWAN modules.

The G923 is a great wheel if you paid $200 for it. I just wouldn't pay the original price for that wheel ($400).

I was going to mention Intel also as I used one of theirs in a Lenovo thinkpad and it just worked, no issue.
I recall Intel has some shenanigans with some of their wireless cards which explicitly require Coffee Lake or newer Intel processors due to the I/O interface: CNVio (GML/CFL) and CNVio2 (ICL/CML+) instead of standard PCIe, and CNVio2 and 1 aren't compatible one another. If what @unwind-protect got was an AX211 (CNVio2) instead of an AX210 (PCIe) card, that could explain it not functioning.

EDIT: I misread the laptop in focus, @unwind-protect's model should be CNVio2 compatible. (It is at least a 10th gen Intel, isn't it?)
EDIT2: Thinking a bit more, why would an Intel-laden laptop come with a Realtek card? It is an AMD model, isn't it? If so, no Intel card ending in 1 will work (due to the CNVio interface as I mentioned).

I kinda like it tbh, it's slow but not Atom slow, because it have M.2 SSD it's not bad. Touchpad and keyboard not bad, only the TN LCD let it down a bit.

I kinda like it tbh, it's slow but not Atom slow, because it have M.2 SSD it's not bad. Touchpad and keyboard not bad, only the TN LCD let it down a bit.
within budget, gets the job done its all that matters

For some reason, my previous keyboard died.
For some reason, Win+LShift+S doesn't work on this one, either.

However, I rebinded it to RCTRL+Num7 and can snip them all again. Can't afford karenning about it tonight, will do it later.

Yes, it is a T14s gen 1 AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 4750U. The Intel wifi card that doesn't work is a AX210.

I honestly didn't expect a Realtek Wifi card either, but alas that is what they decided to do. My similar non-S T14 AMD has an Intel 201 card like it should.

The T14s is a bit faster than the T14, though, although they have same model of CPU. I hate laptops.

Benchmark Scores bench...mark? i do leave mark on bench sometime, to remember which one is the most comfortable. :o
@PLAfiller it works well, running Crystaldiskmark the SN850X reached 58°C instead of the 68°C seen with the basic thicker aluminium heatsink :D

and holy molly, lowest seen temp : 35°C instead of 48°C  :rockout: :peace: best 2.31chf spent ever
it's really good quality and gorgeous, too bad it's hidden under the back cover (might order a transparent one from Amazon later .. strangely enough they are cheaper than the one i saw on AliExpress ... if Amazon stop bothering me about payment info, geez... 2 order and each time they locked my account and asked for bank info authentication)
20241126_151147.jpg20241126_151327.jpg
the transparent bands holding the heatsink on the thermal pad fit straight into the groves, clean looking indeed
20241126_151132.jpg20241126_151421.jpg
might need to print the famous bracket and use the battery/fan screw to hold it down, although it doesn't move at all once closed

it was indeed the original speaker that went creaky :D that one has a way better sound
20241126_134504.jpg20241126_134500.jpg

everything is included, top screen window, 2 complete set of screws (1 is extra) and springs and even a stylus... which surprised me, because i was about to order a replacement for the lost one ahah.
20241126_135041.jpg

some extra for the bike and fitted the handles and phone mount

a better bell, it's loud it's mostly made of aluminium and it's stealthy (until you ring it ofc )and an extra rear fender (works pretty well, the short fender are more suited for muddy rather than rainy ) plus it's amovible when not needed
20241111_124245.jpg20241126_130202.jpg20241126_130135.jpg20241126_130145.jpg

i can confirm the new mount is more stable and the handles are incredibly comfortable with or without gloves

a Jane Doe ... since she eluded my f2p gacha pulls, ah ah ahah... oh well

Nice score!! I have been eyeing them for a bit, but eventually quit the idea. Is there support in Win11? will you be able to use fully?
I've used the D2X, Essence STX and STX II in 11 with no issues so far. Everything works perfectly. I use the aftermarket Uni drivers. I have several D2X's and will be putting some up on the Buy & Sell forum here soon.

It's a Windows bug. Doesn't work on my Win10 machine either, but shift-crtl-s works (I usually screenshot areas so it works as well).

@GreiverBlade , I am still waiting for mine from Mainland China :p, will post back as well.

I was about to ask if you could you share a link with the model of that bike bell, but first page results in Ali revealed it to me :). Mine is this one:

@bobbybluz , D2X is easy to find, but I kinda want Toslink for the Edifier speakers. If I see STX II though I'd be tempted, especially after my motherboard did not like the AE5-PLUS.

indeed it's from Toptrek and i also had the one you show in my alternatives, but i prefer a more rounded design ;)
the one i have although i paid a bit less (closer to 2chf than 4.50chf ) on Temu

usually i browse Temu for bike stuff and clothing and AliExpress for everything electronic
shared browsing for figs and collectibles since both have good deals

for the heatsink, when did you order yours? it was really fast delivery for me, about 10 days (usually it's more 15-20 days)
