Also true, to a point. While the game itself only uses 2 cores, having a 6core CPU still really lets the game shine as it gets exclusive use of those 2 cores.

And actually for promoting dualcores (Pentium D & Athlon 64 X2) in the first place. The other core takes care of background tasks and the other gets to run the game with more resources.

To think I once had an amazing Windsor (although a lesser model) bogged down by using the onboard GeForce 6150 on my Asus motherboard.
Good times I understood very little about resolution and framerates and only wanted to game without a care

Good ol' times, I can't even count how many games I finished with a GF4 Ti 4200 when 30fps was considered playable

Getting back on topic, the last game I purchased is Princess Peach Showtime with a NSO voucher.
While it is a pretty and fun game, I'd never get it for the full BRL 300 Ninty asks for it here. For a single voucher (a 2-pack normally costs 500, I got it for 450) it, 225 makes it still on the expensive side but way more palatable.

It really was. Crysis was THE Core2Quad seller BITD. That game made selling the Q6600 & Q6700 easy-breezy!

Also when Q6600 had a significant price reduction almost immediately, no wonder why it became so popular and a legendary CPU. A great futureproofing way back then since people used Core2 for gaming for LONG

On topic, I should actually play that FF X-2 on PS2 since it has a nice overpowered feature for superbosses which is nerfed on the HD remaster, though I've beaten them somewhat easily on the remaster.

The engine would dump as much as it could onto a single core, if you want to get into the game engine itself see the DF video

Warcraft Battlechest just came out yesterday, surprise launch of Warcraft 1 Remaster and 2 Remaster, and Warcraft 3 got a huge update. It only cost me $25 since I already owned Warcraft 3 Reforged. Nice to see my favorite RTS getting some love finally though, can't wait to play all three again.

If they just sold WC 3 updated separate I'd get it but I have the original of all three

Just got Halo: Spartan Strike for 80 cents on the Steam Autumn sale, probably all I will get for this sale. My backlog is big enough to last me a lifetime already.

I really want the Halo Collection, but I am hoping it will be like 5-7 bucks someday, I am not paying ten for it. Not in any rush, I waited this long (never have played halo)

$10 it's a steal if you like story driven FPS, I enjoyed it when the games first came out. They vary from solid to very good in my opinion and you are paying what, $2.50 per game?

I fire it up along with Miles Morales just to web sling and throw down for an hour or 2.

Sucked into Stalker 2 this week.

I played it yesterday for a couple of hours and I think the grinding is on another level.
Collect backpacks, take photos, climb on antennas, solve the lab puzzles, do this, do that for no reason etc. Also the gameplay is kinda weird. Basically I don't like the fighting mechanics while the roaming around works very well.

Anyway, it's just the beginning and like every triple A PS game, the story, voice acting, animations etc. are top notch.
The graphics are passable... Same plasticky graphics, like nearly in every PS game out there. But anyway I never played any PS game, expecting good graphics.

Imagine paying that much, getting excited when it comes in, and then you have all the connection/stability issues they've been having. I would have set something on fire at that point.
