No one likes Anchovies on their pizzas?

They arent a popular of a topping here in the UK. Call it a cultural difference.

its not a cultural difference, its very rare i meet someone in USA who does the anchovies lol

@AusWolf I literally just put a crosta mollica in the oven, half for my lunch, and other half for my dinner (with a veggie side) made me think of you LOL

its a cultural difference because people in the UK just dont eat anchovies. You'll find them at most supermarkets though but I doubt they are big sellers.

I also like pineapple on them.
There's a reason so many people don't like/want Anchovies. :)

I've tried that. It was interesting. With sausage, mushrooms and olives? Very tasty. Those flavors mix together in a very good way.
Now that's something I'd love to try!

It looks more rainy and grey over here in the Midlands.

I've heard pronouncing that is actually quite easy... if you speak Welsh. :)

Edit: It seems I spoke too soon. The wind is picking up now. Thank god it's Saturday.

I landed at Birmingham Airport at midnight in severe gales last night, interesting experience, it was like a cross between a very small helicopter and a very fast rollercoaster, the wife was non too pleased but from around 5000 feet downwards it was quite entertaining in a Boeing 737

I had the same in an Airbus A321 at Luton two weeks ago. It really is quite an experience. A part of you thinks "oh my god, are we gonna die today?" but another part goes "bring it on, b!tch". :D

Another winner, 10/10 for the price. This would cost me 3x as much in USA. For some reason the Brits don't care for chicken wings, but in America we eat the hell out of them, and they are pricey as hell because supply can never meet demand. Only 2.50 for an entire bag that fills me up, unbelievable. Now you Brits, keep enjoying your lamb and your Sunday roasts, you keep the wings cheap for me damnit! :rockout: :rockout: :rockout:

Is there meat on a chicken wing?

I just watched a Tom Scott video on how the UK Power plug is the best designed in the entire world, and I have to say I agree with him. He even left out some of the positive benefits of the UK power plug, in that it doesn't sag at all no matter where I go because of its thick tri-design. Where as in the USA, a plug will get worn out within 5-10 years and the power plug sags a bit creating risk.

Also, this is pretty sad:

best pizza i have had recently is the crosta mollica stromboli, pizza from morrisons, it is delicious... unbelievable how good it is, but i can feel my arteries clogging as i eat it lol

View attachment 374461
Okay, I've just had one... I have to say it's really good. A close second to Morrisons Best. Only second because the sausage meat + pepperoni combination is a bit too greasy for my taste. I also wouldn't mind a tiny bit more cheese. But the dough is top notch. I wish there were other flavours to try.

Edit: Also, I'm gonna call it Costa Monica for simplicity's sake.

Also, this is pretty sad:

Why is that? Aren't there enough houses or something? That would explain the insane prices.

I've always wondered why one can't just buy a plot of land and build a house on it in this country, like people do in basically all of Eastern Europe. Why we have to rely on housing companies to build boring, uniform houses and sell them for ridiculous prices instead is beyond me.

Fair, I cooked another stromboli pizza tonight, and it was only 8/10 this time not 10/10, not because of grease, i just overcooked it a little so the cheese wasn't as pronounced. I agree with you, could be a little less greasy.

I will give Morrisons Best a try, thanks for the advice!

Some wild guesses, all the best "jobs" are in the major cities like London for example.
Only the wealthy can afford to buy a property there, unless people want to commute from outskirts of London which is doable but our public transport are slow and rubbish as we know.
There a crazy waiting list for council houses.
People struggling to juggle budget because of xyz reasons.
There is actually a legislation for protection of green spaces or something I can't remember what it's called.
Buying a plot and building a property is expensive and it's probably blocked because of my point above.
People are also apparently blaming illegal immigrants/asylum seekers.

From your list, I find this to be the only valid point. There is not a chance in hell someone can't afford to rent a room (or studio flat) and buy food even on a minimum wage in this country. You don't need one of the best jobs to make a living. But of course, one should live, or move where there is work, and not in a super expensive area, like London.

Edit: The posted article was about working people, earning a wage, and still living in a tent, which I find weird.

Edit 2: On the other hand, if one lives on the street exactly because they can't manage their finances properly, then sorry, but no sympathy from me. If I could move over to this country with zero money to my name, and start working, living in a mouldy shared house, and eventually get to the point where I rent a nice flat with my girlfriend, buy a 3 year-old car, and still save 25% of my wage if I push it, all this while being relatively close to minimum wage, then so can others.

Yeah I would say a lot of them probably meet some of the points I've made potentially.
Maybe they are on the waiting list for council house.
