Show of hands: Who here will HONESTLY consider buying an Intel GPU? I want you to be 100% honest, not that you would "consider it" but if you can seriously see yourself purchasing an Intel GPU as your one and only videocard
I mean if I wasn't focused on VR and had a 3440x1440 monitor and just ran say 1440p I would be very interested in Battlemages performance

I would if they had something in the 7800 XT class and it's around the $400 price point. Perhaps the B750 or B770 will do that. A B580 would be more of a side-grade to my 6700 XT at the resolutions I use.

My very recent purchase (last week) of an A750 with factory OC for USD $177.50 would take the crown in the performance per dollar chart. But hey, purchase cost is highly relevant with when & how the consumer invests in a product. That was my lucky day I suppose! :D
